I didn't have a coupon and it was still reasonable for a mani/pedi.  They were nice.  They did an ok job on my hands, I'd give the pedi 2 stars.  When they went to shave off the dead skin off my heels, they might has well have just looked at them - they didn't scale anything off.  Was quite disappointed with that.While I was having my mani/pedi I decided to get a blow out... and they washed my hair and blew it out and then straightening ironed it a bit - it turned out lovely.Overall, this is not a high end place, all the locals go (and talk about everything and everyone - it's a gossip mill!) but in a pinch, it would do.  But I wouldn't make it a regular spot.  And probably would skip the pedi. Save your money and time!  I went there for a gel fill and pedicure and had 3 nails lift within a week! As a bonus , I got a infection on my big toe. After contacting the manager he had me return to someone else , (more experienced ) --HA-NOT! 4 days later 2 more cracks and I'm done! DON'T waste your $ ! Read Less

Visiting relatives in Florida and decided I needed a haircut and mani pedi done.  Someone recommended this place so I went. Its a large storefront salon with lots of parking in the lot.  Signage was good and we found it immediately.First I got a haircut.  No problem making last minute reservations.  As soon as I got there the stylist put me in a chair and started cutting after asking what cut I wanted. The cut was basically okay, not one of my best nor the worst. I like cuticles done and they did a decent job of both finger and toe nails.  Nail polish on the toes was applied well.  Buffing on the fingernails was okay but not to a buffer shine which I am used to.Please note that you get a choice of the special spa pedicure at extra cost or the bowl pedicure where you put your feet in a portable foot wash. (like the type I bought years ago to use at home!)  I chose the spa bath which they only had one and another customer had to either wait or take the portable bath one.The store is gigantic with lots of hair styling/cutting/coloring and hair washing chairs.  In the back is the mani pedi area with one or two manicure tables (can't remember) and one spa vibration chair that I saw.  There may have been more.A nice perk are the coffee and bagel pieces with cream cheese table.  There is a vibrant air about this place and lots of older people mingling, conversing with others and being attended to.Overall it is a pleasant neighborhood large salon with very reasonable prices (and coupons in the local papers) where you can come and meet others and get your hair and nails done. Okay so I am on vacation, but come here frequently. I found a coupon for European  mani/pedi. There was nothing special about it. It was like a regular mani/pedi. I loved the nail tech Sarah. She did a great job and was entertaining. I would go back for her. I have a lot of calluses on my heals and she did not go to town on them like other places do, but I am okay with it since  my feet are so rough and it would have hurt. I also got my legs waxed. The  esthetician was poor, actually horrible. She was sloppy, not good at all ( I have had my legs waxed before and it was much better elsewhere) she left hair and wax on me.  I just wanted it  to be over. The room and table were filthy and towels  had other people's hair on them. The whole place was kind of dirty and not well kept. The pedi tub was leaking and the owner seems unconcerned as they have reported this to him in the past. So if your looking for cheap well the leg wax was $25 so for the quality not worth it. In the end I let the owner know about the waxing service and he waved the total cost of the leg waxing, which was a positive move. I heard from others that there are different excellent waxers there to choose form. The mani pedi was priced reasonably and a great nail tech. Im not sure why Other reviewers keep talking about how old everyone was there. I'm younger, but Who cares. Everyone likes to  get their nails and hair done and lots of people work no matter their age. So that does not Matter to me. This is a retirement community support  local people. I think if the owner actually paid  someone to clean, got a new washing machine  and took better care of it he would have a great place on his hands. Read Less

I went to Nu You for the hair color specials...$26 for root touch up with Matrix  brand.  I was the youngest person in the place including the stylists.  But, that didn't turn me off.  I was pleasantly surprised that the stylist worked quick, touched my hair up professionally, and I was in and out quickly.  I have Keretin in my hair and asked them to use a sulfate free shampoo, which they hide, but did use the proper one.  It was interesting to sit there and see how much of a time warp I was in, but if you need a root touch up, for $26 you can't go wrong.  I was paying $75 for a touch up in NY, so I was thrilled to pay the $26.  (I don't have my hair blown dry....I run home and do it myself).  I did check out the mani-pedi situation, and decided to go elsewhere for that service. ...first time at the New You Salon....place was very busy....i was the youngest too, but did'nt mine that, since i do find comfort in people in their senior years...i went for a haircut wash an blow...they took my right away....told them i was new, an needed someone who cuts long hair....nice italian lady who knew her stuff....gave me a great cut, listen to how i wanted it an styled it superbly...if thats a word....gave her 5.00 dollar tip, not sure if that was enough....assuming i was going to be charged 20.00 or 25.00 was going to give her a bit more....so ps. i get up to the desk, the man says okay that will be 50.00....WHAT !! how did 20 -25 bucks turn into 50 bucks !  oh you have long hair, she took the time to blow it out....i said you tack on 25 bucks for LONG HAIR !  ok he says...how about 45 bucks....omg.....ok i had no choice at that point, as i looked up at the sign of prices...small print says extra for long hair...but did not state how much extra...usually it is 5 dollars extra elsewhere....but not here.....so i give him my debit card....oh no he says we only accept cash or checks....niceeeeeee....now im really mad....i thought your not suppose to piss off the customer !  well the bank is right over there you can walk to it he says...they have an atm.....yea ok i said.....which tells me they are too cheap to pay for the processing fees of credit cards or debit...that only cost pennies of each transaction...which they can afford....after all they have about 20 haircutters in the place, with all the seniors paying them  all their social security monies....too me a gold mine..and i notice they are not computerized, they still make appointments with a pencil and a book...haha.ha...which really saves them money......so i skip over to the atm. get the money come bk and gave the guy at the desk the cash....as he grinned ear to ear thanking me for that..i figured he split it with the lady who did my hair...heck they can give some to the shampoo lady too,since i had nothing left...yea seeeeee ya buddy.....if i wanted a 50 dollar haircut, i could have went to BOCA !  so......that was my experience at the NEW YOU..... Zero stars (unfortunately that's not an option on yelp)! You get what you pay for here and its not much. I came here while on vacation and got a spa pedi and manicure. The chair is from the dinosaur ages and appears dingy/dirty which I later discovered wasn't just appearance, there cleaning practices are less then impressive! Beware! The cuticle cutter still had someone else's cuticles on it, yuck! And the only cleaning done to the pedicure chair and  pedicure bowls I witnessed while I was there for TWO hours was a slight rinse under running water with an occasional squirt of soap. The poor girl that came in after me sat in a bowl of water for 20 minutes until her nail tech came in. At this point the nail tech was angry because she had just picked up her lunch, so she tossed her to go box down and snapped at the customer because no one told her she had a customer waiting! She then mumbled loudly to herself about how no one even put soap in the pedicure bowl, snatched it up and walked to the sink to dump it out. After returning the fresh water the the customer she set it down, didn't say a word and walked away. From across the room she turned and said "you have to put your feet in the water, why else would I have gotten it?". I was shocked, had this been my nail tech I would have walked out at that very second. To top it off as she was painting her toe nail at the end of the appointment, the customer requested a darker pink and was told "it is dark, wait until I'm finished with the second coat." Unfortunately after the second coat, the customer was still not happy so she received yet another scolding from the nail tech. I found the whole experience, both my own as well as the other customers appalling. And to top it off, the end result looked as if I allowed a small child to paint my nails.  Save your money and look elsewhere! Read Less

New You Hair and Nails have a $19.99 mani-pedi  which is a good value. Of course,itdepends on WHO does  your mani-pedi if it is good or not, as in any salon. It took me awhile, but I finally found the right girl, and she does a great job. She nips all the dead skin around toe and fingernails, and does a great job of getting the dead skin off the bottom or my feet. She does a brief foot and leg massage with body lotion before shepaints my nails. She is far better then any $19.99 mani-pedi that I have had in NYC,where specials like that abound.She does a very good job with the color application too.In addition, she has a very pleasant personality and is very sweet.  Yes, the salon isfull of much older women, and I am usually one of the youngest clients when I amthere, but one day,I too will be old, it happens to everyone. If you want a fancy mani-pedi, there are others salons to go to, and it will cost you double or triple, just depends on what you want. The place is not pretty or fancy or sophisticated, but it is alwaysjammed. The cash only is not unusual for beauty salons, but they should probably tellyou when you make an appointment so you don't show up with just your credit cards.I would recommend this shop to a friend, and I take my college age daughter here when she is in town visiting, and she is happy to go. After seeing a coupon for a mani/pedi combo for only $19.99, I had to give this place a go! $19.99 for a mani/pedi is pretty much unheard of and now I know why. Cue in New You Salon. This place is huge however it reeks of old people, Aqua Net and moth balls. I was the youngest person in there so that boosted my ego for a few minutes until I sat down and figured out what the deal was with the cheap prices. So you can get a regular pedicure (the one with the $19.99 combo) or a spa pedicure. The spa pedicure is like a normal pedi--chair, hot water, bubbles and all. The regular? Not so much. Instead of going into one of the comfy chairs, they brought me a foot bath to soak my feet in. It's all gravy b/c you would think that it would be plugged in so the water would be kept warm right? Negative. So my feet sat in the foot bath while the water quickly went cold. Nasty. WTF?? There was one lady who shelled out the extra $5 to get the spa pedicure and the other old ladies scowled at her since apparently, she was a big spender. I wish I would have followed her lead. Maria did my nails and was really sweet and attentive but an hour and a half for a mani/pedi? No thanks, splurge a little and go somewhere legit. Cash only! Read Less

Flexible pricing! They have prices listed on the wall, but the man at the desk uses wide discretion. He somehow increased a $15 woman's haircut to $44 (including blow dry). I came in with prewashed hair, it is a little longer than my shoulders, straight. ???? Completely mystified why I got gouged unless he thought I would just take it. Which I guess I did. Wont be going back, but did love stylist Diana. Too bad. Wondering if I got charged for "wetting" my prewashed hair. Read Less
