Throughout my many years of using Yelp, mostly for reading other people's reviews, I have never left a bad review - until now. I recently had THE worst experience at Kim's Nails. Customer service means nothing to them.Me and my cousins originally had an appointment elsewhere for our nails; however we saw great reviews for Kim's Nails and decided to cancel our previous appointment and made an appointment with Kim's Nails instead. Our appointment was at 3 PM for 3 people. We were about 10-15 mins late (which we called in advance to inform them about), and she already had made a snarky comment at us. However we went into the salon excited. I went a few days before I was traveling out of the country for 3 weeks, and I was going to attend a big wedding. A few girls came in at 3:30 for their appointments and so Kim told the other employees to work on the girls, while ONLY Kim would work on us. Since it was only her working on us, one at a time, we were there for longer than usual. Note: she was EXTREMELY nice to these other girls, meanwhile she was making so many rude comments to us. I'm not sure why they carry chrome nails if they aren't chrome at all. I decided on red chrome nails and the end result just looked like glitter red nail polish. I was not happy at all. I let Kimmy know & she told me to come back 2 days later (on a Saturday morning) and she would change the chrome polish for me for free. I booked my appointment for Saturday morning at 9am. I had my nails done on a Thursday evening, and on Friday morning I took a shower before work. After my shower, all of the chrome from my left hand was PEELING! It was coming straight off. I was appalled. I took pictures, which will be attached. My train of thought was that the girl who put the chrome on my nails forgot a step, as ONLY my left hand was messed up. But I did not worry because I knew I was going back to Kimmy the next day. I even took time out of my day to INFORM her that the chrome came off and she thanked me for letting her know. Saturday morning I get there 10 minutes BEFORE my appointment. I had no intentions of arguing with her, because she had already promised me she would fix my nails for me. But Kimmy had started to accuse me of ruining my own nails. I was taken by surprise. I told her that there was NO sense in me ruining my own nails because she was going to do the chrome I wanted anyway. She told me she would no longer do the chrome for me, and if I wanted it, I would have to pay extra. She continued to blame me saying things such as "I have never seen this in all my years. In all honesty I think you did it on purpose". I HAVE NEVER IN MY YEARS SEEN THIS EITHER? I have gotten chrome before (actual true chrome) and nothing ever happened. I have never experienced something like this before. Basically I paid extra money for chrome for nothing. Because it was peeling off. I told her to just take off the chrome off because I did not like it at all. She insisted that I sabotaged my own nails. And she did not keep her promise of fixing my chrome nails.... basically because one of her own employees forgot to put a top coat or something on my left hand. She blamed me for the mistake of one of her employees. As I was drying my nails Kimmy offered to not charge me for chrome when I come back from vacation. If she could not have kept her promise two days later, what makes me believe she would keep a promise like that 3 weeks later? All of the other employees were great! They were kind, friendly, and pleasant.Kimmy, the owner, kept saying she was so nice and whatnot. It was the complete opposite. She would make so many snarky comments throughout our whole appointment. I will NEVER set foot in that salon again. Read Less
