Don’t go to sofia. She will get mad at you for wanting something certain. She gets very disrespectful and yells at you. I had a cracked nail, i wanted it to be taken off. She kept saying to leave it on. she left my old color on and put acrylic powder on top. I told her i didn’t like it and she started being VERY disrespectful. I am actually glad I waited a little bit on this review. I always get gel manicures when I do my nails. It  last over two weeks for me, but it  depends on how fast your nails grow.  The polish itself last for as long as you take it off I guess. Well,  it has been a little over a week since I've done my nails at this place and the polish has already started chipping off on three fingers. It's not like I have been doing anything that would call for such a thing to happen, I work with my hands and I also like to sew but these are things that I've always done with gel polishes from other places and they last as they should, 21 days or in some cases more than that. I don't even wash dishes LOL. I primarily came in to this place because I was a walk in and it is extremely close from my home didn't have to wait. The place itself it's nice enough just a regular nail place,  just functional. The Lady who help me didn't speak much English. I guess she knows the usual questions, and has an answer for them, because I've asked her several things and she would answer something else . I realized this pretty quickly so I just picked my color and sat down. This doesn't bother me for nails.it's not rocket science. One thing I noticed, and I don't know if this has anything to do with the nails chipping, is that she over baked my nails. The UV light they use to bake the gel onto the nails has timer and she kept putting my nails back on the timer several times. I don't know if it had anything to do but is the only place that's ever done and thjs is the very first time my nails have chipped ...so I'll let you decide.Service was OK the lady was very nice and she even gave me a two dollar discount for being my first time. I found this place because it is right next to my son's swim school and I'm glad I did. The service is always friendly.. they do a good job but you aren't here for hours. The prices are good. Right now they are running a special for 18.00 for a pedicure until 12/31/2017. I usually come during the week.. late afternoon or early morning and there's no wait. Read Less

I must say I should have known when I came into an empty shop 4 pm on a Friday. They are super nice the place is clean etc but the girl Trish took 2.5 hours to do a fresh set of stiletto nails. Two days later 5 broken now because they are super thin! There are 2 other ladies older in age also. Maybe they are better than her but I would not do anything crucial here. Mani pedi only period. Horrible horrible horrible. The new owner is rude and even though it says walk ins welcome, they are way too short staffed to take walk ins. Even when you call to make an appointment, she always says she can't take you and tries to schedule you for the next day. The place is close to come home and the only reason I kept giving them chances but after today, NEVER AGAIN!! The owner took off the Nexxgen Polish and then took another customer, only to tell me I have to wait another 15 minutes for her to finish the job she started, mind you i had already been there an hour!! Who has that kind of time to get their nails done?? I mean really!! When I told her I can't wait, she charges me for taking off the Polish and sends me on my way! So completely unprofessional. Unhappy Nails. I came in to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. A very friendly gentleman did my pedicure and I noticed that part of my pinky nail was not painted. He apologizes profusely and fixes it. I look again and the nails on my big toe are painted lumpy as well as other nails. And said pinky nail is still not perfect. A very friendly girl apologies and fixes it.  She does my gel manicure and says it should last up to 3 weeks but didn't answer the minimum of time it would last. Day 1 there's a snag in the back of one of my nails that rips off and takes a bit of Polish with it.Day 2 same thing. Day 5 I see that the Polish is starting to tear at the side of two nails. Yea it was not only my polish that was was tearing it was also my nail.  Day 6 aforementioned nails break Day 7 the polish starts to to lift at the cuticle on a nailDay 8 another tear and another broken nail. My schedule only allowed me to get my nails done six days before the event and by the event I had two broken nails. Gel manicures are too expensive for this and now I have three broken nails. Came here with my best friend while I was visiting her over the weekend! I love how my nails came out. She took her time applying the gel, especially at the bottom of the nail. Because of this, I know they will last longer and not catch! I wish I could come here more often, but I live in MA so that's not an option. Everyone is so nice here! Read Less

ave been coming here for  3 years now.  John is the best.  Liz is great too. My gel polish always lasts about 3 weeks. The way the Polish is applied and removed never damages my nails. I've been to a lot of other nail salons when they were too busy to take me. And the other places that I have gone through in my past destroyed my nails. Came as a walk in on a Sunday afternoon. Had to wait about 15 minutes which isn't bad since I didn't have an appointment. Service was good and they have a nice selection of gel colors. The ambiance isn't anything amazing and it just felt like the experience was "ok" as opposed to anything that really wowed me. At any rate the prices are comparable to other salons and they do practice proper sanitary practices. I'd go back if I was in the area but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way. Read Less

Worst place I have ever gotten my nails "done" !! I don't ever write a bad review but this place deserves it. I went here because my regular place was packed and I did not feel like waiting. I went according to the Yelp reviews and I call BS on them. I went to "happy nail" with my sister to get a gel manicure, acrylics and pedicures. My sisters acrylics were done within 15 minutes...think about that. They were all different lengths and were not filed down how it's supposed to be done. The owner was the one that did them and was in a rush to leave the salon. As for me, I picked a burgundy color for my gel manicure and I left with my nails all beaten up. The lady that did my nails had to use acetone for all the mistakes she had done on them. Acetone plus red polish does not go well specially if you are a "nail tech." I had polish all over my finger and my cuticles and when she used the file to take off her shitty job, she started to mess up my nail because she was forcing the gel to come off. NEVER GOING BACK!!!! Was there for the first time today after moving to the area and Li did an amazing job on my mani/pedi with acrylics & gel polish. Exactly how I wanted it. I can never find a person to do my nails twice because I always hate it but I'll definitely come back to Li. I had to pay $15 extra for gel polish instead of regular polish which I didn't expect and I thought it was a little too much but I'm really happy with the result - which is rare - so I'm not going to argue it ;) Read Less

Went here a couple  weeks ago charged me $35 for a acrylic refill with gel color! Even though it says refill $14. I think the guy included his own tip which is disgusting to me! Because I always tip $10 for my nails! My nails were OKAY. I think if they keep doing that they will have a lawsuit or better business bureau on their behinds. I usually don't get my nails done at the salon; usually, work on it myself.  However, I stopped by this place just to check it out..  Found it a clean environment  and very welcoming....  So, I decided to get a gel manicure; which,  it was amazing..  The tech I believe Lee was  her name..  She didn't speak the much English but she was very sweet and meticulous in her work..  definitely I could say..  She made my nails and me Happy.. .. I almost always do my nails myself, in my entire life I have probably had them done professionally less than ten times, but after doing a mud run, and going to paint my toe nails and realizing it had really taken a toll, I decided I would treat myself to a pedicure and used Yelp to find Happy Nails close to my house. I arrived around 1pm on a Sunday to find it rather empty. I was greeted by a very friendly woman who said she could take me immediately and called another employee who set me up in a chair as I picked I color. I was impressed with the color choices here, it takes a lot to impress me with selection as I myself own probably well over 200 nail polishes, but they had a few OPI and Essie colors that I don't, so I was excited. I also noticed that they had some unique textured China glaze polishes, a few of the OPI crackles, and even some magnetic polishes. They also had a few glitter options, so you can definitely get a fancy manicure here beyond just basic colors. The pedicure itself was nice, and the technician took her time and was very meticulous without being rough. It was complete with leg massage and exfoliation as well as hot towels. The price was fair at $20 and I found the staff very friendly. To be a five star pedicure for me it has to be really and truly amazing as I am not often that impressed with nail services, and there is a pedicure place that I prefer slightly over this one as I felt the massage portion was a little bit better, but Happy Nails is much closer to my house and the staff was very welcoming so I wouldn't hesitate to go back, though it would probably be another year or so before I treat myself again. They have the best prices in the city and I love their customer service. You're in, you're out.
