This used to be my "go to" place until the last two times I have gone. The work is so inconsistent and there are some extremely rude nail techs. This is why I made an appointment the last time i went with someone who had done a good job in the past. I arrived on time and even though I had booked with a certain person, I was ushered into a chair where a guy I had never seen before started my pedicure. I tried to explain nicely that I had made an appointment with a certain person but I was ignored. I decided to let it go and hoped for the best. This guy was terrible, my pedicure was terrible and his attitude was the worst part. I had to ask him to correct my big toes 4 different times because they had been filed crooked. He through a fit! He was younger with shaved hair on the sides and acted way too cool. This place became successful because of the professional staff and friendly environment they used to have. I can say with 100% certainty that those days are over. If this place doesn't go out of business I will be shocked. Customer service, kindness and honoring appointments shouldn't be so difficult. Been in Clermont for the weekend to celebrate my birthday, a family member recommended Cocoon Urban Nail Spa. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warm hellos and smiles. Their ability to get everyone done in a timely manner seems to be a priority! I had nails on which I had done two weeks ago in SC and wasn’t happen with. I was given recommendations that would suit the style I was looking for. The technician took his time, was very courteous, and was very knowledgeable. A few people from my office recommended Cocoon for nails. I usually drive out to Dr. Phillips to go to DP Nails but it is 30 minutes from Clermont and they are closed Sundays. I needed to get a manicure this weekend because my previous gel mani from DP was growing out (it lasted 3 weeks). So I walked into Cocoon for the first time. The wait was less than 30 minutes and then a man working there, Son, started the process for removing my gel. They were wrapped in foil (as usual) and I started the wait for the gel to soften. After several minutes Helen asked if I minded switching to her station, I believe Son had an appointment. Helen removed my gel so roughly! As she scraped off a lot of my previous dark color, she was scraping my skin. It was painful but I didn't say anything. There was still dark lines around the edges from the previous color. I pointed out that she missed a lot of the color and she assured me that I wouldn't be able to notice in the end. She was very rough on my cuticles and missed a lot, I asked her to go back to the spots she missed and she said she "didnt want to hurt me." Cuticle removal shouldn't hurt if done properly. She did the first coat of the pale pink gel that I picked out and the black edges from previous color showed through. I mentioned it and she again assured me that after a couple coats I wouldn't see it. After 3 coats the black edges still showed through and I told her I was unhappy with it. She kept filing down that part and adding more coats, I have about 5-6 coats on some nails which cause it to look lumpy. The dark edges never were taken care of so it looks like I have dirt around my nails which is embarrassing. This was probably the worst manicure I have ever gotten. At checkout I told the cashier it was terrible and she got Son, he apologized and took $5 off my bill bringing it from $27 to $22. Then he gave me a $5 coupon for next time and told me to make an appointment with him because he will make sure I get a great job. I don't see myself ever going back there, Son was very nice but Helen did the worst job ever. I want to go back to DP Nails this week to get it corrected but then I will be paying for 2 manis in one week! Read Less

This used to be my favorite place to go, but after today I won't be back. I booked a 1pm appointment for a pedicure and arrived promptly. I was greeted and told it would just be 5 more minutes. 30 minutes later I'm finally seated. The "technician" was absolutely horrible. She wouldn't listen to any of my requests and kept arguing with me that her way was better. I walk a lot for work and am on my feet a lot, so I like my nails short. She insists to keep them longer to make the French pedi look better. Then she showed me her own toes to prove her point. Needless to say, her toes looked nasty to me. She kept poking me with her sharp thumb nail even after I repeatedly ask her not to because it really hurt. The end result was pathetically amateuristic. I could have done a better job! The lines were crooked, way too wide, the polish too thick and just plain sloppy. I complained to the owner's son who convinced me to stay and give them an opportunity to fix it, saying it would just take 5 minutes, even though I was now already running late for my next appointment. I sit back down and try to explain again how I like my nails done. She attempted to fix only the 2 big toes and claimed I was done. I asked her to fix my other 8 too. After another 30 minutes she said she was done. By this time I give up. By now I've been there for over 2 hours and they just can't get it right. That "tech" is completely incompetent and unqualified: She doesn't know how to properly shape nails, how to do a French pedi or how to stop poking me with her sharp thumb nail. This was the absolute worst pedicure I've ever had. They asked if I was satisfied with the end result when it was time to pay. I told them no. They gave me a "discounted" rate of $25 instead of the usual $30 for a French. I paid because I just wanted to get out of there. My time is too valuable to be clowning around with this catastrophe. pretty good to me. Im picky and son(the manager) does a great job always on my nails. Im a salon owner and Ive never had a bad experience with customer service. I never had a bad pedicure from anyone either. So i recommend this nails place. Theyre also very sanitary. Go see for yourself. Read Less

Joan has been doing my nails for over a year now and I've never had a bad experience with her. Even during busy times they always manage to squeeze me in. The pedicures are good too, the gel nail polish lasts for weeks and never chips. Over all the staff are friendly and the mani/pedi stations are always clean. Read Less

I called the day before to make an appointment and ask for the price for a full acrylic set. The price they gave me was $25. After arriving 5 minutes early I was rushed to pick a color and seated. The nail technician immediately picked up a drill file and filed the whole nail plate didn't bother with pushing back cuticles or cleaning them up. Applied a drop of glue without dusting them off and then got up to go search for the tips she didn't have. One tip was applied crooked...I should have left then. Acrylic was applied thick and she didn't take the time to file it nicely so where new growth and acrylic meet there is a nice, unattractive bump. The polish was applied unevenly and a couple of nails have pooling at the base of the nail. After all of this I went to pay and was charged $37.00! I'm not sure if they charged more for the gel polish or what. I will not be a repeat customer and I advise if you are reading this...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! Read Less
