Went here to get my wedding nails done. The salon was clean and everyone was friendly. Not the best acrylic job ive had. Some were left lumpy and tips different shapes. From apprehensive to AMAZING! I had been long overdue for cut and highlight. I’m a short-term Clearwater Beach snowbird (Jan-February)and needed to get my hair done. I was looking for a salon to go to in the Clearwater Beach area, but more importantly, a stylist who would be great at the balayage color technique. After reading some great reviews about Abby, I decided to give Sharmaine's a try. Not only was the price of my service affordable, but she did a phenomenal job. On vacation, I called very last minute after a surprise dinner invitation! I did not have much time and needed some help! The team at Sharmaine's found a way to get in for some excellent beauty services including a pink and white fill, a quick pedi soak/ callus scrub, lip wax and a wash and style. Nicole helped me get my nails spruced up with a short amount of time. She was helpful, accommodating and great at what she does! Then owner, Lori, magically found a way to work me in for a quick wash and style! I left the salon looking and feeling beautiful and well cared for! I recently was in to have my hair color and cut corrected after getting a terrible cut a few months ago at a different salon and then foolishly putting box color in my hair lol my stylist Chelsea was AMAZING!! She was able to correct my haircut AND correct the awful box color. She was so patient, thorough and so nice, she got me exactly where I wanted to be, I will never use another stylist!! I brought my sister here yesterday. It was our first time Sharmaine's and my first time getting a facial. I got both of us the 'perfect day' package, because I wanted to her to feel spoiled and pampered when we left. We had the Absolute BEST time! The girls were all amazing! They made us laugh, relax, feel pampered, and beautiful before we left. I honestly do not have one complaint. Thank you all SO much for making both of us feel special and taken care of. I will definitely be back! My only regret is that we had so many awesome girls working on us through the day, I can't remember everyone's name. I went there with my step daughter to get our hair and make up done for my wedding that afternoon. I don't remember the girl who did my make ups name but she was awesome. "Tiffany" was my hair stylist and she did a good job with my hair. I had so much anxiety and nervousness because it being my first wedding and all she did was try to sell me stuff it was so annoying. As she was getting done curling my hair she said 'there's a little bottle of hair spray I put up front for you to use right before the ceremony.' So that made me think she gave me a sample size bottle for free for me getting my hair done with her. Nope. That sample siZe bottle cost $10 if I wanted it. My step daughter got a simple braid and Tiffany said my step daughter had some knots in her hair but she didn't want to hurt her and get them out but she recommended I buy this wet brush because apparently if I use it on my step daughters hair, she won't even feel the knots! Then why in the heck didn't she use it on my step daughters hair?? The simple braid costed $20, why in the heck couldn't she spend the time and brush the few knots out of her hair? It just seemed as if Tiffany wanted to do as little work as possible for the money. I went here going off the great reviews, well the girl I had did a horrible job on my hair cut. I even showed her a picture. Basically it was just a trim and reshaped. The back was uneven and had to have my daughter even it out and she took some bulk out (because I have thick hair) and left a hole. I won't be returning. Read Less

Once you walk in, there are smiling faces. Everyone is kind and they come to the front to greet you. They take their time and ask questions about what you do and what ethnicity you may be. They ask what products you normally use and they give you so many options to choose from without making you confused. I like how they give you a choice. Here for the Japanese straightening I am so excited after so many saying they couldn't see me because they were booked or they couldn't do it because of my hair type. They are licensed to do this and they are doing an AMAZING job. The price isn't so bad for shoulder length. It is a great product and can't wait to come back for my touch-up. Read Less

I highly recommend Michele!  I am new to the area, so I tried another salon before Sharmaine's.  I was very displeased with  my color, although my original colorist and I spoke at length about what I wanted.  Again, not knowing the area or anyone who could recommend a great salon, I threw the dice and tried Sharmaine's.  First, I must say how accommodating the receptionist was in scheduling me as quickly as possible.  I explained to her how unhappy I was with the results of my visit to a different salon, and she booked me for the following day! My stylist, Michele, listened to me and gave me highlights exactly as I described.  And, she asked how I preferred to style my hair, and she blew it dry and used Velcro rollers to achieve the perfect look.  Yes, the location of the salon is bit problematic.  It is located on the second floor off of Mandalay Avenue, and yes, during tourist season you should add extra travel time.  However, this will not deter me from returning.  Thanks, Michele!  I will see you later this month! I was in Clearwater Beach for the weekend and wanted a spa day. I was given this referral from the Hilton Clearwater Beach and must say that I was very happy when I left! I had an hour massage, an hour facial, manicure, and pedicure. I called Sunday and they were able to get me in within half an hour. My masseuse was amazing (I feel badly I cannot remember her name)! I had many knots that needed to be worked out. It felt like she took a few years off of me. Lori had done my facial and manicure and pedicure, she was very friendly and attentive to my needs. I came here 2 years ago and had the worst experience ever . I did my hair and make up for my friend's wedding . When they were doing my hair I asked them to put half of hair up and the rest curl it . When she was done I looked and just died- she put all the hair up and left a little hair down, it literally looked like a tail . It was too late to change it so I moved to make up . First of all their make up artist didn't chose the right foundation for me so my face was orange . When they do your make up u don't see the process , they show u before and after . Anyways , I also asked her to give me a smokey eyes but soft . When she was done I looked at the mirror and instantly started crying . I couldn't recognize myself : orange face , eyes looked like someone punched me in a eye. OMG it hurts when I remember that day . So I wasn't happy but I was late already so I thought that I'll fix it in the car . When I went to front desk I could tell by the girls look that I looked horrible . I told her I wasn't happy and they still charged me . Also she asked me -20% tip going to be cash or credit ?! She said it was automatic added charge . I highly don't recommend this place . Great place.  They have just about everything you need and it is an easy walk from most North Beach hotels.  A tad pricey but if you explain what you want in detail they are great.  If you are having an updo make sure to come in with your hair ready for it or they will charge you $40 for a blowout that just gets put up.  Other than that though this place is flawless! The location is not the best for a Tampa local since the spa is located on Clearwater beach, and depending on the time of year - tourist central. If you're in Clearwater or having a beach wedding, it is worth checking out. The salon is complete with makeup, hairstylist, nail salon, etc. I heard about the salon through my girlfriend and I was impressed with the open layout and friendly welcome when I arrived. We went here to have some hair feather extensions put in our hair. They didn't have a very good selection of feathers, they were quite expensive and they were sparce and thin so you needed at least 6 to be able to see them which cost considerably more.They told us that they would last at least 2 months, maybe longer. They fell out of our hair 3 days later. They put them in with the compressed bead rather than the glue. The glue holds better.The people that worked at the counter was friendly but the others were stuck up and their prices were high. I will not go back there again. Read Less

I don't mind spending a little extra money from time to time, especially when it's a treat for myself. This Day Spa wasn't thru the roof on pricing, but my highlights were a pritty penny. They did not follow through on what I was expecting, I felt rushed, the whole feel of the place was rather "snooty", not a pleasent atmosphere.
