Had a great experience with the ladies who worked on me. Donnie is an amazing massage therapist! However, I did use a gift card and when I went to leave was told two different things: first the cost of some service had increased but no, that was wrong, the cost of the package bought for me had increased and I was expected to pay the difference. Would have been nice to have had that info shared in the beginning. It also seemed a little sketchy to pull that when the gift card was less than 5 months old. I had a wonderful facial treatment and pedicure with Vivian. I was greeted by a lovely gentleman at the front desk (I'm so sorry but I did not get his name). He showed me to the waiting room and patio, offering me tea or water. Vivian was right on time for the appointment and she went into detail with me about the problems with my skin and how I can start fixing the sun damage on my face (SPF 30! I remember!). The pedicure was fabulous and relaxing, and even though it had been a while since I had my last pedicure, Vivian was still delicate and my feet look amazing. I had my first spa day experience and got the ultimate indulgence package.... it was amazing! From start to finish everything was Pinterest-worthy and relaxing. My massage was product as well as soothing, my facial was refreshing, and my mani pedi was super fun! Anytime visiting family in Clearwater I stop in to Botanica Day spa for a pedicure. This was my first time to their new location and it was even more beautiful then their old location.  It's classic rustic shabby chic.  Each pedicure includes your own pail of water with rose pedals. I went to Botanica for the first time over a year ago for a facial, massage and nail day. I did an into package that gave you 30 minutes of each, this was enough to hook me and make me a "spa girl".I noticed girls at the spa having the most amazing eyelashes and found out how I could obtain them, I set an appointment with Alex (my girl) for the semipermanent lashes and I literally have had them since, over a year now! They're amazing I get compliments on them daily! I wake up every morning and my lashes look perfect. I don't have to do much to get ready for the day and I can't say enough good things. I have referred numerous friends and family to the spa and they're treated with the utmost care and service. I also love how at Botanica they do the eyelash extensions for your eye-shape they're never over whelming and they last a good amount of one between fills. Terrible! Beware of the owner, Jen. I had my eyebrows done I'm assuming she was rushing and took all the skin from my eyebrow. It was extremely painful and looked like I was punched in the eye. When I got home it looked worse so I called. She could care less!! Told me to go by arnica. I wasn't going to go back but got a free wax for my birthday and went in. Towards the end of my wax she asked me why my eyebrow was missing in the front. When I looked she had taken the front part of my brow off. She swears I came in like that!! Seriously I didn't notice I was missing part of my eyebrow how crazy is that. Then tried to sell me her brow products, to grow back the hair. Also her aromatherapy kits for $45.00 same brand is &10.00 on Amazon. There prices are outline and so is the owners integrity. Horrible place Read Less

I just saw Heather for a massage and pedicure! Oh my goodness!!! I get a massage frequently, and she was hands down THE BEST massage I've EVER had! She read my intake form perfectly! Have been to this spa once before my recent visit and I thought that was an awesome visit but my recent (call the day of and get me in if you can its an emergency) visit was by far the best massage I've had in years! I've been getting massages for 25+ years and my masseuse Vivian was amazing! Hands down one of probably 3 best massages I've ever had! I had a migraine the day before and went to her to help release the rest of the tension- all I can say is....amazing! We had a couple massage, my masseuse was great but my husband had an awful experience. The person was in a bad mood from the beginning. We were late and she said she was going to call her husband , we didn't understand the reason because we were not guaranteed pass time. So the massage was rough to the bone instead on the muscles. I got a mani, pedi, and facial. I absolutely love it here! It's so cute inside! Def try the spa water it's amazing! They have a beautiful color selection!!! I've never been disappointed with Botanica.  The ladies are great and I love the ambience!One thing I can't stand about other nail salons is the super strong smell of chemicals when you walk in.  I don't have that problem here at Botanica.  They use good quality ingredients that aren't toxic.  Thank goodness!  The prices are great too! Unfortunately I didn't know they moved so I went to the old place and when I called they offered to come get me so I wouldn't have to walk in the heat. I saw the good reviews so we really wanted to try out the place. I would expect great service from the get go with the reviews this place has. I left 2 messages and never received a call back. Then called again, and someone answered, put me on hold for about 7 minutes, and then just hung up. I called back again twice, and someone would pick up, and then hang right up!! I think if a place is rated this well, the good customer service should start up front. Update: After this review posted, I did get a call back finally. Coincidence? I went with trouble with tightness in my legs from working out, and she spent time stretching and massaging them in a way I wouldn't have known existed. My experience at Botanica was disappointing, to say the least. For the prices, I was expecting excellent service...but unfortunately it wasn't the case. While on vacation, I decided to try a spa in the area for some additional relaxation and pampering. I booked a 55 minute massage, a 55 minute facial, and added 25 minutes of reflexology. The massage was good. I liked the therapist's techniques and she applied even, medium pressure as I had asked. What bugged me was that instead of getting 25 minutes of reflexology on my feet, I probably got 10. She must have been behind on the full body massage, which was fine, but it ate into my reflexology time. I specifically asked for extra focus on my feet and I feel that I did not get what I paid for. I didn't want to complain, because the massage itself was good.The most disappointing part of the day was the facial. It was supposed to be 55 minutes, and I probably got 45. Again, not a huge deal, but I generally expect to get what I'm paying for. My facialist seemed distracted and I felt like she was rushing through the service. It was right before lunch, so that may have been a factor. I felt that the facial was not as good as many others I have had in my hometown, nor was it worth the money. It consisted of one mask and one scrub. I also didn't like how she seemed to apply one thing after the other. Instead of cleansing my face and washing it off then applying the scrub and wash it off, she layered things on top of one another. I counted, and at one point she had put four different things on my face without washing them off in between. This felt very odd to me. The last 15 minutes or so of my facial included and arm massage. I didn't think it was a very good massage, which disappointed me because I had already paid for a good massage and I was wanting more attention on my face. Hence facial. The last thing that bothered me was that for about half of my facial, I could overhear it allowed conversation in the lobby. I know that it is a small space, but putting treatment rooms very close to where other folks are having conversations is a good way to spoil the relaxation people are coming for. I did not like the transition between services. I felt that they were awkward and not centered on the guest. I've been to spas in the past where they bring you from one room to the other and ask if everything is going well because they want to provide you with the best possible experience. Not the case at Botanica. Overall I was pretty disappointed in my visit, and did not feel that it was worth the $200 I had to shell out. Read Less

Fantastic deep tissue massage by Heather! I had so many knots the poor girl had her work cut out for her, but she got in there & really helped relieve all the built up tension I had. I originally scheduled a 60 min massage, but half way through asked if it was possible to extend it to 90 mins? Which she was nice enough to do, esp since it meant that she stayed past closing hours. Thank you Heather!I was in town for a work conference at the nearby Hilton, found them on Yelp & after selecting the "book online option" & seeing no same day availability, decided I'd try my luck & call in. Turns out there was an appointment available 30 mins out, so I took a 10 min Uber ride over & the staff was graciously squeezed in a last minute appointment for me. The spa is adorable with lovely jewelry, candles, hair & skin products for sale. Seems to be a beautiful one stop shop for all beauty needs. And if any of the other services are like the massage I had today, I would highly recommend booking an appointment! Read Less

I had my appointment this past Saturday. I have been to other spas and this experience was a let down for me. I had even been to Botanica about 15 years ago and had an amazing experience. This time was not the same at all. The spa itself could have been cleaner, with less dust. Everyone was nice and very hospitable. I did enjoy that, however it was a bit too noisy and public for my liking. The spa appeared to have very little care put into it.. Outdated and lacking a peaceful, luxurious feel. The day after my facial and pedicure is when I saw the actual damage to my skin.. I had 5 fine scratches on my face that had scabbed over and a quarter size scrape on the soft part of my foot. I won't be back to Botanica Day Spa and I wouldn't recommend it. Read Less

My 'Heaven' Package received as a birthday present from family was - well ... Heavenly!  Putting the obvious out there, it's hard to say anything negative about a gift of facial, massage, body treatment and Spa Mani/Pedi (including paraffin)!  That said, Botanica Day Spa exceeded expectations on all counts. More disclosure, I've never experienced a spa package before but have experienced each service individually ... And it's easy to vet the good from the not so good (and have had both!)Warmly welcomed upon arrival, my time there was seamlessly orchestrated - easily moving from service to service. Each technician explained products/ techniques, etc. and I enjoyed how the options were presented in a non- pressurized way. I'll try a few as I replenish my current stockEvery technician was top tier in terms of personality and skill in their speciality and took responsibility to make my experience memorable. Each was ready at appointed time and the room and products were assembled and ready to begin on time.  All products used were high caliber and comparable to those used in other high end spas. Based on my experience, I'd recommend the spa and plan to bring my daughter to an upcoming open house and schedule a girls outing. Read Less

Beautiful place with a great staff. Lots of extras including an infrared sauna. Everything was very clean and the decor was lovely. My massage was nice but not the nicest I've had. The scalp, shoulders and neck massage were perfect. I got the dry brush enhancement and I was disappointed. I was on my back and just the tops of my legs & arms were dry brushed. Would have been worth it if I had been flipped over to get brushed on the back etc. It wasn't worth the extra money. I got a 90 minute massage with the dry brush enhancement. They let me use the infrared sauna after which was really nice! When I was done I used the shower and they even gave me a sample of face lotion. I will be back for sure. Read Less

My husband and I stopped in for a couples massage when we were visiting Clearwater.  It was his first massage and my first 'cupping' massage.  Our massage therapists, Donni and Lindsay (sp?), were great.  They took the time to assess our issues and what would be the best massage to feel better.  Given my muscle aches, I opted for the cupping therapy which uses cups to suction to the skin and help blood flow.  At the end, I was super relaxed, but felt a little dizzy.  I chalked it up to being on the dehydrated side and all was well later that day.It was a very relaxing environment and everyone was very nice.  The spa is on the small side, so I'm unsure whether they could handle a group larger than 4-5 people.  The environment is quiet and welcoming.  There are a few parking spots in front of the spa, but the rest is likely street parking.  Besides that, Botanica is a great place to relax and get some pampering.
