Went for a mani/pedi. It was very relaxing and I liked how it smelled so clean in the nail salon. Prices are reasonable. $34 for a mani/pedi. I was a walk- in and had no trouble getting in but this probably would vary depending on timing of appointments and other walk-ins. Update, My manicure lasted less than two days. Would still recommend for pedicure but that seems a ridiculously small time for the nail polish to last. Read Less

Do not waste your time here. They are so many other salons that aren't as pricey and provide way better service! I come in for a pedicure, they sit me down, put my feet in water and I didn't get serviced for 20 MINUTES! The water was cold, my feet were pruney... what a mess. And dead skin remover is an add on? Really? My normal place includes it for $30!!! I paid $40 here and it wasn't the best I have had by far. Very poor customer service! My sister and I came here for polish change and pedicure. My sister simply only wanted a polish change. When she asked the technician if she applied two coats of polish, she rudely responded to my sister yes. My sister expressed her dissatisfaction with how her toes looked. The technician who was doing my pedicure decided to jump in. She was trying to be nice, but you could tell she was agitated. The technician didn't even come back & ask my sister if she liked her toes when she was done. The other technician had to put my sister's shoes on & asked if she wanted to sit under the dryer. I called the day before and scheduled an appointment for me and my boyfriend.  The person that answered the phone was very nice and stated he would be more than happy to accommodate us both on New Year's Eve day.  We were really looking forward to trying the salon as we were new to the area.  Unfortunately the pleasantries ended with the phone call.  Upon arrival there was only an appointment for one person and when the poor receptionist went to a manager or owner (I have no idea who it was), she was yelled at right in front of us.  At that point it was no longer an option as this was to be a relaxing afternoon for us and this was no where near the type of environment for relaxing with such hostility. Our first time to VIP Nails. Worse customer service ever. No one greets you upon arrival. There were 3 of us with a 1:00 appointment. My wife and daughter were getting a mani and I was getting a pedicure. Appointments are obviously useless, because we had to wait. We didn't mind waiting until someone else walked in the door and was immediately seated. Her nails were wrapped and immediately led to the pedi station. Needless to say, we walked out. The reviews on here are not the greatest, but management either doesn't read the reviews or doesn't care how people perceive his establishment, too sad. STAY AWAY!!! This place is TERRIBLE. First the owner kept pushing dip nails after I said no not this time. The girl that was doing my nails didn't knew English but acted like she had no clue what I was asking for. After I said no dip she put dip on my nails. She also didn't tell me that it was 10 extra dollars to do the coffin shape. When I told her she didn't tell me she kept repeating that it'll only be 35 dollars? The technician was so rude and was talking about me because I didn't want to do a gel color which is an extra $17 on top of a fill she charged me for a fill she wanted to charge me another $17 for gel nail polish when I turned it down to start a talking to the other nail technician next to her about me and laughing and complaining because I wouldn't take the gel nail polish and the nails turned out horribly the color was awful and it was just bad service all around and I was still charged $39 for a fill in and simple nail.polish on all my nails should have been $15-20 at most! Took my sister here for some sisterly bonding time, let's just say they are very rude and were talking about there clients disrespectful . They don't follow directions they want to do things there way and only there,way . When my sister picked a color they kept telling her no that it wasn't a flattering color on her. When she chose to keep her nails longer they purposely cut them down after she pacifically told them no. Pedicure sucked for the price they charged .let's just say we never returned there again. Slow service. Small place. Very confusing process. Only because the receptionist seemed clueless and kept telling us we could do things. Then comes back to tell us we can't. When we asked questions. Her response was.... I don't know. You need to talk to a tech. Yet she kept asking us questions about what we needed with no answers. This place is great. I went in for a full set of the dip coat acrylic nails and a pedicure. The gentleman that did my nails was very efficient, kind, and my nails look awesome. I have never had acrylic nails before but he made them look so natural, exactly like I wanted. The woman who did my pedicure was very thorough and really took her time to make my toes look lovely. This business runs like a well oiled machine, the employees really work hard and know what they are doing! I definitely reccomend this place, and you can call and make an appointment as well. Owner of the establishment gave my mom a pedicure and during so she was slapping her legs harder than usual instead of telling her to put her feet down. when was asked if my mom liked the pedicure, she was honest and said no because the Polish was smudged and the cuticles weren't done.. The owner tells her "Oh well next time I'll do better" My mom, a reasonable person, while keeping her temper, said she would not pay for awful service. They called the cops on her for no reas...on and the cops were absolutely no help and my mom had to pay an absurd amount of money. No discount no sorry, nothing. They are very accommodating with people who walk in. I always walk in with no appointment and have never had to wait too long for a service. The staff are always friendly, especially Annie, the owner! She's super sweet. I've gotten gel nails and acrylics done here. Both times, they've done a wonderful job, and I've gotten several compliments on my nails. The gel nails lasted a solid two weeks, and I'm going on three weeks with my acrylics, and they still look fantastic! I also really like that if you need a touch up, they will usually do it for free, as long as it is within two weeks. They also accept Spafinder giftcards as well. Read Less

It's been over 2 weeks since I got my nails done here. They're in excellent condition. I wish I lived in Brandon, just to come to this nail salon!! Today was my fourth visit to this nail spa. It's very pleasant. The two nail techs who have worked on my nails have been wonderful. The pedicure chairs are amazing and even massage your butt cheeks. It's a little unsettling but feels good after a while.The reason for my 2 star review: they have a punch card that after 8 visits you can receive $8 off $20 dollars. Today I paid for two regular manicures at $12 each. I tipped $5 for each manicure. I paid for both of them. I forgot to have my card stamped so i returned to have my card stamped, and they told me no. The manager said it must be each person spending $20. The card doesn't say that, just 8 visits of $20.00 and up. I had made 2 appointments with her for the following week for mani/pedi. I asked her to just cancel them. She said okay.I guess my business was not important enough. That's how I felt leaving there. It's unfortunate because it is a really nice place. But I won't ever feel comfortable there again after being treated dismissively and rudely. Rude peopke are such a turnoff. After reading the review below, I feel compelled to write my own review of VIP Nails.  I have been meaning to do this for awhile anyway.  I have been following Annie who is the manager of VIP nails for 3 years when I first moved to Florida.  I initially started going to her for my nails and pedicures when she worked in the plaza near Mellow Mushroom.  I can tell you this - out of all of the places I have been to for manicures/pedicures in various cities including many high end salons; this salon and Annie have far surpassed all of them in quality by a longshot.  Annie always takes her time and takes pride in her work.  I am usually there for a total of 3 hours which I do not mind because everytime I leave there I am always happy with the work she has done.  Also, one thing that is very important to me when choosing a salon is cleanliness.  This salon is spotless.  Everything is always very sterile and the employees are very professional about making sure that it stays that way.Above all - I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here.  In addition, over the years Annie is not only my nail technician but, she also has become a friend to me whenever I come into the salon.  We talk about our children, jobs, family, etc.  This is such a nice change from most salons.  Everyone at VIP nails makes you feel very welcomed and appreciative of your business and they will go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable there. I would recommend this salon to anyone and will continue to come here for as long as I live in the Brandon area.  I do hope that you give them another try Cody T.  if you weren't satisfied the last time please ask for Annie the next time you go in, you will not be disappointed! :) Read Less

Stopped here for a mani/pedi.  The woman who started the pedi was older and I am not certain she was actually a nail technician, it took less than 14 minutes from the time I sat in the to point she was ready to massage & polish.  She barely touched my cuticles and did not use the little foot grader.  I haven't had a pedi in more than I month I am certain I needed the grading!  There was minimal shaping and they needed it as I had just cut my toe nails last night!  when the guy next to me was done he finished with the massage and polish.  I asked him to shape my nails he then broke out the cuticle clippers as well.  And this was not the cheapest pedicure they offered either, I selected the deluxe which included salt scrub etc.The manicure was better and lasted longer than the pedicure, which is not the norm.  Johny is the man who finished the pedi & did my mani.  Was surprised that after the salt scrub they do not use the warm towels to clean off your arms, you are covered in salt to your elbows after all, instead you have to try to wash it off in their little tiny sink bowls. No lotion before polish either!  It was a salt scrub & mask that's it!  For $48 I thought this was a total ripoff!! Read Less
