I went it to get a pedi. The older gentleman of the establishment who did my pedi was HORRIBLE..he pricked me 3xs...he didn't know how to shape my toenails..I had to tell him how and he can't polish...when I began to complain they started speaking in their native language what appeared to be negatively like I did something..and to top it off, I was going to get a design and the wife of the older man told me to give her a few minutes only to start doing a manicure on someone else..guess she was mad that I was UNSATISFIED with her husband...I had to get the younger person to do my whole paint job over!!!..and they charged me full price!!!..I was LIVID!!!..but I paid and couldn't wait to write this review... If there was a way to give this less than 1 star, I would. I came here bc they have a large assortment of dip colors. But it's under new management and this man is a horrible person. First of all, they couldn't get the nails that I had on, off. And then when they did the dip powder, they were so thin and I work retail so I have to have strong nails, otherwise they come right off. So, they starting coming apart at the sides so I went back in and asked if he could give me a refund, which he denied and accused me of just trying to scam him and kill his business. He redid them, despite me but wanting anything to do with them at this point and this time they did dip powder with the stronger gel on top. I thought they'd last, but literally that same night at work, one broke. I wasn't surprised because when I looked at them further, they were easily bent (and tips shouldn't be able to do that...they never do when I go to other places). So I went back the next morning and I was nice and asked him for a refund bc the morning before when I asked, he said he wouldn't give me a refund until he did them one more time with a stronger gel on top. He started yelling at me and telling me that I obviously chipped them myself and I purposefully broke them. I work management...I'm not trying to help your business fail, I'm just dissatisfied and know what I would do with a dissatisfied customer and want the same respect. But no, he kept telling me that I was a liar and then the other employee (the woman) joined in and told me that I was just using them. He finally broke down and said that he'd give me $35 back, rather than the $40 I paid originally, because it's $5 to take the nails off and he didn't want me to walk around with "nice" nails (that are broken) and have also gotten a full refund. I didn't care about him taking them off bc I will honestly go to my regular place and have them redo them how they're supposed to be. The man also didn't give me my student discount when I originally paid, which is misleading bc I made an appt just so that I could get the 10% off. The prices on the board are wrong, they will manipulate their words and charge you more than you expect. Just an all around TERRIBLE PLACE!!!! I will NEVER return. I went in unhappy about another salon and the lack of direction. This nail tech at MTV greeted me warmly and sat me Down. Not only did they fix my mistake 😒 I loved the concentration this tech had. Focused on Detail I love my nails how. Also. I was feeling faint. Started sweating and feeling strange. They offered me a coke and kept asking if I was ok. They were very nice. I will be going back. My sister recommended this nail spa to me about 2 or 3 years ago and I always go back. It's VERY rare that I go to another nail spa because MTV is so good. They have changed management 3 times but the service never changes. Staff is very nice, friendly and they really know what they're doing. I get "NexGen" which is the powder colored dip that is very healthy for your nails. No smell or anything so you don't feel like you're choking. Absolutely love this place. Read Less

Great place, relaxing atmosphere. I love Nexgen nails, seriously happy with not only the product but the fact that this place offers it. I would rate this place higher if not for the fact the Rude manicurist Gwen. She trash talks everyone, especially my favorite tech in particular. Just an overall bad attitude, I understand some Vietnamese and the way she was talking was very unprofessional, a bully. I would not want to work around her, stay away!! I have my one main girl Saya, I go to for my nails and lashes and she takes the best care of me. She takes much pride and dedication into her work and you can see it in this finished result. After having my original nail appointment elsewhere canceled due to a medical emergency, I had to find another place to do what I wanted for my wedding nails. Which I was not as easy as expected. I called many places, one of which was MTV nails and when they thought they wouldn't be able to help, they contacted someone who could, which was so sweet. This was the WORST pedicure I've ever received in my entire life. There is no atmosphere, their polish selection is seriously lacking, the water was lukewarm at best...and about the service (or lack there of) I had a guy who had no idea what he was doing...seriously didn't even know how to polish nails, the woman had to step in and do them. Today was my first time visiting this salon, and I was very impressed to say the least! The salon is very beautiful inside, well-kept, and clean. Kim, the owner, was very welcoming and greeted me upon first walking in. She even texted me this morning before my appointment to see if I wanted to come in even earlier! I got the Nexgen manicure and Yvonne was the one who did my nails. She was very sweet, friendly, and just a really engaging and fun person to talk with the whole time! It felt like I was sitting down and talking with a friend. She did a fabulous job on my nails and they look so beautiful!!! I never felt rushed at all. We needed to get pedicures and went to MTV based on some reviews. When we got there there were a few people in chairs, one of the employees asked us what we wanted, and when we said two pedicures they said they were too busy and maybe we should come back later today... I said, no, that won't be happening. Good way to run off potential customers.. what might be better is "it might be an 30 min, would you like a water?" First time there today. TWO HOURS AND 45 MINUTES! That was with an appointment. Just to get a pedicure and a Nexgen manicure. My pedicure alone took over an hour and a half and my feet were still rough! WOW! My Nexgen looked like Easter egg colors! It was supposed to be NATURAL CLEAR COLOR. It was not.  I was horribly upset with the unprofessional results and told the owner Kim so. She said "oh well they look better next time you come in." Then she tried to overcharge me for the whole mess. I argued with her that I was extremely unhappy with my service (and by then the shop was full of customers). Again, her attitude was "oh well, pay your bill and leave". This place is terrible. They do not listen to what you want. Fabulous job! I had the works done, nails, facial wax, and pedicure. Kim did everything for me. She was friendly and able to help me decide on what I wanted. She recommended the NexGen powder for my fingernails because I complained about how destroyed my nails were from another manicure somewhere else. My nails look fabulous and this stuff is all natural and organic, and lasts 3 weeks! I will definitely be coming here for all my beauty needs. The place was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. My favorite nail place ! Not too busy, very clean and just a overall pretty and pleasant atmosphere . This is the only place I know that has the " Nexgen" nail service . Which is better for your nails. The pedicures here are outstanding ! They really take their time, massages are great they have so many different pedicure packages to choose from . They now have new owners and it is not a pleasant experience! I walk in and two women were working only one person actually does nails so I was left with my nails soaking for over 30 minutes while she was doing another woman's nails then while filing my nails she took all the skin off of the tops of my fingers and made 2 of them bleed! Completely dead, was the only client in the salon. Was a relaxing experience. However, the shallac application was terrible, the person got the wrong polish than what I picked out. Also, left polish all around my nail & some on my finger. Which I didn't notice till after. Then I noticed on my toes, the polish that was applied wasn't even at all & barely covered my nail in some areas. Read Less

I had a great experience at MTV nails. They were courteous and polite, and the person who did my nails did a wonderful job. She was very conscious of whether anything was uncomfortable.
