My trip here was my very first time getting a mani pedi. I opted for the $36 aromatherapy pedicure. It included a sugar scrub, clay mask, massage, hot towel. I'm sure there were other things bit I'm not sure what was included in the basic pedicure or what was extra just for the aromatherapy pedicure. My nail technician was Charlie, and he did an amazing job and when my nail got bumped as i went up to pay, he say me down and fixed it before i left. Very satisfied, would definitely recommend. I used to come here bi weekly. I mean really, I've got nothing. Lucy was an amazing nail tech, but the last time I was there I got someone else who told me that my acrylic overlay would snap off if I didn't cut my nails off and get tips put on. Um first of all, no. I've been doing them this way for like- a decade. My nails snap because I lift weights and sometimes one gets a chip. That's also normal. Also, the guy cut my callouses off of my hands once and I was talking to someone so I didn't even notice what he was doing, so fast forward to me going to the gym and I had to substantially drop weight while I healed. Do you not know that people who lift have callouses? They aren't an issue for me. Don't make them yours. Anyways. I have found a new nail salon, and I won't be coming back. A fill and pedi bi weekly with tip came to about $75. You're losing $1800 a year from one client. Let that sink in. All you had to do is be respectful and do a good job. That's it. Read Less

Came to this salon after my appointment elsewhere was bumped, Last minute. Needed my nails done that day and they were very accommodating. Wonderful job on my eyebrows... however. My mani/pedi was kind of.... rough? My nails are sore and sloppy. My toes bled this morning. My cuticles on my fingers bled as well. The guy wanted to talk only about cheating men and politics. Blamed me for moving and that's why it hurt/ looked sloppy. For the prices they charge, you'd think it'd look better than this. That one might feel pampered. THE WORST place I have ever been to!! Twice I have been and both times have been miserable.  To sum it up; we had reservations for a pedicure and they had us wait in sitting area and 12 minutes after we had been there on time for appt I had to ask to be able to go back to at least start soaking.  They didn't have second nail tech there until 25 min late. My sister couldn't even have full pedicure bc we had another appt we had to go to and they were so late!! They made my sister bleed and they tried to stop bleeding 4 times- then they couldn't even paint full nail bc of blood! Anyway by the time I explained to manager how horrible the experience was she kept making excuses and put no effort towards compensation. I could go on but I would have to write double what I have to explain all the negative things that happened!! 5 for hair, sadly 2 for nails. Took my daughters to get our hair and nails done. My hairdresser was fantastic, ask for Dianna!!! I knew I wanted dramatic change, highlights, and a lot of length taken off. She knew exactly what to do and I feel younger. Plus she was friendly and easy to talk to. She did great trims on my girls as well and they loved her too. Manicures were silent and uncomfortable. My manicurist was pretty much loudly talking in a foreign language with other staff members the whole time. My nails weren't fully covered in polish either and I have a few rough edges. Got a spa finder gift card for my birthday so I thought I would use it to get my nails done. I never get my nails done as it, is so I was hoping for the best. So I came in and left totally unsatisfied. First off, when I got there I asked the attendant if the nail design I found online was able to be done (which was ok to do). She told me to sit and wait for the next nail technician. I had the pleasure of being paired with Nick who was the WORST nail technician ever! First off,  he rudely questioned why I didn't pick the nail color I wanted and I told him the attendant made no mention to me of doing so. Then the while he was doing my nails, the entire time he did not speak to me and kept rushing insisting he had an appointment after me. He also cut my nails sharp after I told him twice that I wanted rounded short nails. When I corrected him he went on to make side comments and continuously insisting he had an appointment waiting. While he was finishing my nails the attendant came over and asked for my form of payment and in front of Nick asked how much of a tip I was going to leave him. I thought it was funny because she never did this with any other patron while I was there. Maybe she knew I wasn't going to tip him? I felt rushed to get out, my nails weren't that great, and I got treated like total crap. Overall, I will not be going back UNLESS their customer service improves. Read Less

I've been having a hard time finding a place near Riverview to get waxed (or preferably sugared). My husband and I were at the mall, and I saw a sign for waxing as we walked by here. The brochure said Brazilian $40, not $40+, not starting at $40... You get it. Anyway, the receptionist ��said someone was imidiately available and it would be (again) $40. It was clear what I wanted. I didn't expect it to be the best waxing I've ever had, but I figured it would be fine for the price. The esthetician was actually a nail tech. I know! I know! what did I expect? It's a nail salon, but in my defense, the name sounds like a salon that does nails. And also, I was desperate. Nice lady, but she took me to a back room that looked like a storage room. Who cares as long as it's clean and I get what I need. She didn't really know what she was doing when she went over the same spots multiple times... Ouch... but  at least it was better than nothing. When I went up front to pay, she charged me $60. Said it was because she did the sides and back. whatever. My hubby took me here for my birthday.  It was a good start to a great day.  I got a manicure and a pedicure.  They did an okay job on the pedicure.  I feel like there is a lot of room for improvement, but it wasn't bad.The salon is big and clean.  It was a little busy, but they were able to start right away because they have plenty of help.  They did a great job on my manicure, even helping pick the right color for my dress.  I'll go back for manicure only, but might find some other place to get a pedicure. I woke up sad. Grief is a backpack one carries around always. Some days you know it is there because of the weight. Sometimes you forget you carry it, but are reminded when someone else mentions it. Others you become curious again as to how this could have happened and you open it to peek inside. The zipper making that peculiar sound as your heart mimics it by re-breaking. When grief strikes me, I need some pampering. Some beautifying. Some hand holding. I started doing my manicure at Brandon Hair Nails & Spa two years ago. I am okay with driving that far because I can never go wrong with any of the nail technicians. Normally I pick Danny if he is available. When he is not, another can take care of me. They know my face. They know I am loyal. They know I return. I never color my nails. I do them with white and pink acrylic. They use the molds and the French manicure comes out perfectly. The salon is huge and was just renovated recently. Clean and spacious. The wooden floors. A flower here and there. The chairs inviting rest. "Are you too warm? Too cold? Would you like some water?" The talkative in me enjoys the conversation while he or she does my nails. The obsessive compulsive in me loves that the nail polish collection is far from the tables. Carefully organized. Uncluttered space no matter where my eyes go. The lazy in me loves that the polish dryer is right under the table I am sitting. I cherish the hand massage and the beautiful smell the lotion leaves me with.I needed that yesterday more than usually. Unfortunately there was only one technician who already had a client. She smiled and asked me to wait for her, but I couldn't. I wanted to. But I had to be elsewhere and on time by 12 O'clock. I did the unthinkable. I walked a block of stores in the mall and I went to Lee Nails instead. I can't say it was a terrible experience, but it was so incredibly different that I won't return. The place is small and crowded. The nail polish bottles all over the place, out of place, misplaced... a crack addicted rainbow. Abandoned water bottles filled with left over liquid or tea. Lotion jars for the pedicures... lidless and unorganized. The bathroom door opened wide for all to see. It is not even a beautiful bathroom one might decide to showcase. There were TV sets playing CNN.  I go and do my nails to take time off from real life. My technician was dexterous. He was fast. He never spoke to me, really. Unless I count the greeting--"what you want?" or the "I'm sorry" I got when I absent-mindedly cursed aloud as I felt pain when he was removing the old acrylic. He asked me if I wanted to remove the material by using acetone. But of course I did. He answered his cell phone about five times. I felt invisible. As he sculpted then, my cuticles bled a bit. But he did not know me. He did not know they are sensitive as the Brandon Salon has come to know and be careful about. As I paid, he asked me kindly if I liked them and handed me a card to use and redeem every time I return to eventually get some savings. My nails look great. He did a very nice job. But for the same price, I could have felt differently. No massage. No lotion. No pampering. No handholding. A chore. A tad of antiseptic to protect my fingers from infection. A bill. DO NOT GET WAXED HERE. I just moved to Florida from Atlanta and I've been having a hard time finding a wax salon. I settled on this one because it wasn't outrageously expensive like everywhere else for a Brazilian. First of all, a Brazilian wax means that all hair front and back comes off. This place advertises a Brazilian for $40 but then they ask if you want the back off too it's an extra $10. Ok fine, whatever. The lady then proceeds to wax me. She put a ton of baby powder on me and it got all over my clothes. By the end she hands me a mirror and there's patches of hair all over!!! I tell her to get the rest and then she's reluctant and I become upset because I'm thinking I'll have to go to the store after and get some nair. She first said she couldn't get the rest but after I tell her to try again several times she does. And she actually gets the hair out. I've been getting waxed for years and never had it hurt afterwards. When I got home I showered and instantly I burned. It was swollen for 24hrs. This has never happened to me before. Do Not see an older woman with glasses, she debated my requests the entire time and did a sloppy job on my pedicure and gel manicure.
