I tried giving this place a chance. The man doing my pedicure was on the phone the entire time. He didn't scrub my feet at all. The polish looked like a drunk person painted them. One of the best pedicures I've had; from the foot rub to the polish! Very friendly staff And very clean.  They line the tub that you put your feet into with a type of plastic wrap & then take it out when there done; more sanitary. Walked in and was able to get mani/pedi immediately.  My guess is that it is packed during winter months though & it might be better to make an appt.  Place was clean, staff friendly, mani/pedi was good (lasted 4 weeks).  They even have a little private area towards the back if you want to have a special nail day with family/friends.  Prices were comparable to other spots in the area.  I would definitely go back of they have a spot open. I had gel polish applied on a Monday, by Wednesday 2 nails had chipped off. I went back and they re did the gel polish with a product where you dip the nail in powder..That lasted 1 week. Gel has always lasted at least 2 to 3 weeks. Very disappointed and also, have been to salon 5 times and not once was I offered water, etc. The last time for the re-do, I did leave a tip, but the technician once done, got up went to computer..never even said thank you or good bye, I will not go back. Let me start out by saying that I never write reviews, however, I work in customer service and I understand what it takes to stand out from the competition. I always give me compliments first hand to managers, allowing them to share with their teams. In this case, I must compliment the owner. I stopped into Luxury Nails on a whim, having just had a haircut next door. They got me in for a quick manicure with no wait. I was very pleased with the service and clean facility. On my way out, the receptionist offered me to wait awhile as it was a terrible thunderstorm outside. Brian, the owner, came to the desk and offered to walk me to my car with an umbrella. I agreed, with many thanks. He took this excellent customer service even further to warn me of the slippery parking lot stripes as we walked out. There is nothing more impressive, and important than an owner, or manager who demonstrates the service they expect their associates to give. Brian has set the bar very high by living these values. I've been going to Luxury Nail & Spa for almost 10 years!  They are the best nail salon in Lakewood Ranch or Bradenton.  You should ask for Lee or Emily.  Lee is the best and really the only person I trust any more.  Calvin is that man with the acrylics on lockdown.  Comfy chairs for pedis, good prices and my eye brows never come out looking like I'm a drag queen.  Free drinks if you want while you're getting your toes done.  Super nice people and very clean facility. Nice place when you walk-in and they offer you a glass of wine to relax. I upgraded to the deluxe pedicure which was $35 and the towel warmer broke so cold towels were put on my legs. I also got a basic gel Manicure and when you pick out your gel it says solid color $20. And the price was confirmed when asked. However, when I checked out my total was $70 because they failed to mention it's $20 just for gel and $15 extra to have them file your nails. He barely cut my cuticles or filed my nails because it wasn't needed, same for toes he said. I came into Luxury Nails right after getting off work and arrived at the reception desk (without appointment) at 6:30pm. They close at 7:00pm but I was told that they would go ahead and take me on to get a full set of acrylic nails. I was directed to a station and offered a nice chilled glass of wine. The nail technician cut my natural nails and glued the acrylic on. He then proceeded to add the filler on top. I knew that this was going to be the difficult part for me as the thickness is so different from a natural nail. When they dried I could feel the weight difference and I started to panic a bit. Then a young lady came and did the color on my new acrylic nails. I understood that it was getting late and could see the results of that in the rush job. So, as I was sitting at the drying station I observed a sign from the owner and master technician; Brian, saying that "if you are not absolutely happy with your nails, I truly want to know and will fix it free of charge". As I was reading, Brian came up to me and I guess he could see that I was not completely satisfied. He said that he specialized in clients that are particular. Well, I felt no insult in this because I do indeed know what and how I like things done. He then asked if I would give him the opportunity to fix the nails. At my acceptance, he proceeded to redo the nails almost from the beginning. Ladies, I am telling you that when I left that evening I had fantastic nails. I communicated my preferences and he delivered. It took time, and I left quite late, but it was worth it. So, for all you ladies out there that know what you want and notice the details, make an appointment with Brian. Tell him what you like and I strongly believe that he will deliver.
