This place was a big disappointment!!! All of my sister in laws bridesmaids and I went here the day before the wedding and all got a mani and pedi and the people went on and on about how the gel nail polish last longer even if you wash dishes and clean it stays on but of course it is more money but we all agree and get gel polish only on our manicures our pedicure was with regular polish anyway they looked more annoyed then grateful to have a group of 6 come in but then 4 days later the GEL POLISH that they convinced us to get because it "last longer" started lifting and peeling for no reason at all now 1 week later I have no polish on my nails yet for a mani & pedi I paid $55!!! If I can give this place a 0 star I will this place is a rip off. the wedding was the 24th which means this was done on the 23rd of March these pictures were taken at work on Thursday the 28th and a week later this is how my manicure looks it is horrible and peels off like tape. The service is great. I have 2 issues... the price & tip. I called ahead to find out the price, I asked for a Gel Full Set and was quoted $40. When I went to pay, I was charge an additional $20 for the gel, and an additional $5 for the tips added. So what exactly was the $40 for? Seemed sneaky and was caught off guard when my total was $65 rather then $40. I went to pay and inquired where to leave a tip. I was told that I need to pay the tip in cash. I said "I don't have cash." Then was told I could use their ATM to get cash for a tip.I Am certain that this salon will get money no matter what the way....deception, inconvenience, or just plain lying.While the service was top notch, the deceit receives them 1 Star. John (Le) did my nanicure. Does not converse. Was one of the most constipated convos I ever had with another human. He does NOT listen to your concerns NOR respond to your requests. I *knew* the Nextgen application was too thin the first day.i calmly stated that concern. Looked good, but did not last! One of the nail applications cracked like glass only ONE day later. When I came back after spending $35.00 to do nails PLUS $10.00 Tip, I was met with an attitude. Though I was the one who expressed concern about how thin the set was to begin with. Then, when fixing the nail, he pinched my finger angrily because he was upset. Really squeezing it. Then overcompensated by filing the nail unevenly, and making it lopsided! I had expressed cobcern about how much he was filing and this jerk kept filing! Like he was the one who had just paid $45.00 yesterday and made two 15 mile round trips wasting gas! Work on your CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Had to redo nails at another salon a week later. Two more nails cracked like glass! Don't waste your hard-earned money here. Went in to have my nails done and my husband's haircut like we do every two weeks and it's always been around sixty to seventy dollars every time, my husband would get a full cut and shave with straight razor, hot steamed towels on his face beard color, and really good smelling lotion on his face, last time we came in his barber was gone and a stylist was all that was there, he got an electric clipper haircut, no shave, no color, no lotion but the cost was ninety five dollars. I usually hate to put bad review but Today I came to get highlight and hair cut.The price on the phone was 90$ and 40$ hair cut without blow dry.I came I asked caramel light highlight and dark highlight .The hair stylist was very nice but didn t told me if that i add on a color it will be extra..or didn t told me the price.Whatever after I was done I have to pay 220$ i told them it s an error so they told me ok 200$ ...I gave 15$ tips .But now back home my hair are dry and I don t see any highlight!! This place use to be my "go-to" for my nails. I went every two weeks without fail. When I first started going I found a gentleman that I liked and wanted to continue with, but after a couple months I was told he no longer works there. The girl that use to work the door was awesome and knew how particular I was about my nails. She helped me match to people that I liked that did a good job again.Since then, they have lost the girl that did my nails and the girl at the front door. Last time I was there I was not greeted when I walked in, they seemed unprepared for my visit even though I had an appointment, they "lost" my friend's appointment and were in no rush to try to get her set up. Once we had finished our pedis and were moving over to get our nails done, they put her polish away even though she had made an appointment for a mani & pedi, we had reminded them of that during the visit as well.When choosing a nail salon I feel that it should be both that you feel welcomed and that they are doing a good job. This salon use to have this for me, but seems like they can't keep the good people. I didn't recognize 90% of the staff last time I was there. I called last minute to get a cut and blowdry and Jessica was able to fit me in. I had terrible experiences with 3 stylists at other salons so I was a bit nervous, but since moving from Miami I hadn't found a permanent hairstylist and I really needed one. Jessica took my long, flat hair and gave it new life! She cut 8 inches off, cut in some layers, and gave me a blowdry. I feel like a different person! Yea this place may look nice and professional but don't go in with curly hair asking for layers. This girl Cindy was doing my hair and someone else's at the same time! She barely paid attention to me and only apologized as I was leaving to pay. The girl she passed me onto to style my hair did a horrible job so I wasn't able to see the results. I love going to Tipsys so much, I occasionally visit twice a week. Of course, this only occurs if my pedi and mani are both in need of revival (I'll explain later). I make my appointments with Nina! However, everyone seems super friendly and great at their job! On Tuesdays and Wednesdays they have a great deal where spa pedicures only run $20. So, I make sure to visit them after work on these days for a deal and go in for a manicure over the weekend to enjoy a cocktail (or two)! I highly recommend this business and this specific location! When you walk in, Deirdra greets you with a welcoming smile, and asks how she can help you. Lauren, my hairdresser does an amazing job!  She asks you what hair style and/or coloring you need, and really hears you and follows through. I love the "finished product". Haily gives wonderful manicures and pedicures. She is a perfectionist!  And-if you still need more to relax and unwind, they also provide other salon services and have a fully stocked bar. I'm conflicted because I like this place. The people are nice and it's a very inviting environment. However the last 2 times I've been in, I got a gel Mani and both times my polish has peeled off within a couple of days. When I pay $40 for a manicure I expect it to last.... not to have to go back every 3-4 days. Last time I was in the guy who did my pedicure clipped a HUGE piece of skin off of my toe and legitimately hurt me. There are plenty of 3 year olds walking around with bad haircuts, but most were given by the 3 year old themselves.  My girlfriends daughter went here and you would think that the salon handed her scissors and said good luck. Actually that might have resulted in better results.  Unfortunately the 3 year old didn't do it but a presumably trained professional with a Florida cosmetology license did.  We could have gotten better results from Edward Scissor Hands, Helen Keller or a one eyed pirate with cataracts and 2 hooks for hands.  My girlfriend is devastated and the 3 year old has a Disney trip coming up where she will obviously be wearing a hat for all the pictures.    They should be reported to child protective services, and if you go here knowing this, so should you. I came in here recently. This is my second time. Both times I had the same problem. My nails slant upwards and look like a planes going to take off on them. (That's the best way I can describe them). Now the first time I was here I wasn't charged for them shaping my nails the second time she asked me if I wanted coffin shaped and I said sure but she didn't tell me she was going to charge me and not only that but they aren't coffin shaped. The look more like wide square with rounded edges. Now when taking off my previous nails they are supposed to soak them in acetone and then remove them. However she literally ripped of the previous ones not only damaging my nails but hurting me. When putting the new nails on they are uneven and crooked. The nail tech also cut me with the nail file twice and with the Dremel around my cuticles to the point I was bleeding. Then when she put the alcohol in my nails it hurt so bad. Took a vacation day during the week to get a few things done and decided I was way over due for a manicure and pedicure. After calling a couple other local salons, which said there was no way they could fit me in, I decided to call Tipsy Salon. I hadn't called this particular salon before because I had been to the other Tipsy Salon off of Federal and wasn't that happy with the service there. I was very glad I had called them because I was very happy with their services. They also have discounted pedicures on Tuesday and Wednesday, this was a Wednesday, as well as they could fit me right in within that hour. The receptionist was very friendly. I waited for a few minutes for the gentleman that did my nails but not very long. John did an amazing job and I was really pleased. I'm glad I wasn't on a strict schedule that day because it did take awhile for him to do both however I started to think, he's taking his time and doing a great job so it's ok! I've been going to Miguel for about 10 years now and there is no one else that can make me feel as good as he does! He has styled my hair to perfection every time. I've been here a couple times and I really like the laid back feel of it. The fact that they have beer (great local beer!) and wine is very cool. Everyone is friendly. He had to color correct my hair that was absolutely bleached to crap, in which he turned my hair into a beautiful balayage, and he managed to keep my hair extra healthy and shiny, despite all the damage at a previous salon. Since that time last year, I've been going to him for a variety of colors to which he amazes me everytime. Just this last appointment he took my hair from dark brown to a gorgeous lavender, and gave me a stunning lob. I don't trust anyone else in the universe with my hair but Elliot. I was in need of a haircut and found this salon on Groupon.  I liked their website so I decided to give them a try.I had my hair cut by a woman that I believe is the owner.  She was very pleasant and I am happy with how she cut my hair.  The salon has a nice atmosphere.  They also use quality products there which I think is important.  Before cutting my hair we did talk about the condition of my hair and what I wanted done which I also think is important.In addition to hair they offer other salon services including nails.  They also do salon services for weddings.  I was very happy and would recommend them.
