I truthfully was not going to post this review and just forget about it all together, but since it has been over 24 hours since my experience at this salon and my fingers still hurt, I figured I had to say something.I called for a NexGen/pedicure and was told they didn't have anyone to do NG, so I asked for gel mani, but when I got there I was happy to find out I was able to have NG. I haven't had my nails done in almost three months so my hands really needed to be cleaned up badly. I always keep my nails very short and have never once had a problem being told they were too short to be worked on. Before she began, the nail tech asked me if I wanted tips but I explained I prefer short and she proceeded as if everything was fine. About halfway through (after I went to wash my hands) I noticed my cuticles on three fingers on my left hand were bleeding. The nail tech told me it was because my nails are "too short and thin", which I thought was odd because like I said, always get NexGen and keep my nails short, never bled while having them worked on and never was told it was my own fault for bleeding. I got no apology or anything! My fingers continued to bleed the remainder of my time at the salon even during my pedicure, which was a whole other story I don't even feel like complaining about. One more thing I would like to mention is how uncomfortable they made me feel when I gave the women who worked on my nails their tip. I had one woman who did my hands and a different one for my pedicure. I left the tip for my NexGen at the work station of the woman who took care of me. As for the woman who did my pedicure, I was not sure of which station  was hers so I walked over to her where she was standing in the back and tried to hand her the money. She stood there looking at me confused and didn't take the money at first, then asked me where the tip was for her co-worker. I explained that I left the money for my NexGen at the desk of the woman who worked on my nails and she still stood there looking at me confused. Why would you question someone who is trying to tip you for your services? I believe in tipping for great service, and although I had a bad experience at this place I still tipped considering these women did take two hours working on my nails, and I could never leave without tipping. It just completely rubbed me the wrong way and 30 hours after my appointment my fingers STILL hurt.****business owner: please do not leave me a generic comment about how sorry you are about my experience and to give your salon another chance. Oh my gosh!!! This was by FAR the best experience I have ever had in a nail salon. Linda and Yaya are absolutely amazing! Not only did my nails come out perfectly, but Linda was so attentive and made sure I left there with exactly what I wanted! They are fun, easy-going, the environment is so welcoming and friendly, they have won me over completely! I'm so glad I no longer have to look for a good nail salon finally!! This was the worst nail salon that I have been to in years. They were very friendly. But my daughter and I both got pedicures.  I got the wax @40.00 and she got the spa special @35.00. The bag for the wax was way too small so the wax could not get on the toes. Than the owners daughter said to leave on for 5 minutes. It never hardened as it was all on the heel because of the too small bag. I left their with ruff feet. When my daughter finished hers they were going to put throw away sandals on her to drive home.. When she asked them to put on her own sandals they told her they were too narrow. After she said that she would put them on herself they found a way.The pedicure tubs seating was a very uncomfortable padded flat straight bench the length of the wall. No chairs to lean back or to massage just pillows. Just a cheap padded bench for 40.00 pedicure. We will NEVER go here again and do not recommend it to anyone. Read Less

I got a NextGen manicure and a regular pedicure. Prices were a bit more than i'm used to paying (as I just moved in the area from Fort Lauderdale). Lynda did a fantastic job on my coffin shaped NextGen mani. And Kim did a great job on my pedi. Only downfall is they don't have individual massage chairs for the pedi (you sit on a long cushioned bench). The salon is beautiful and nicely decorated- i just prefer individual massage chairs. The Nail Parlor is owned by three wonderful women who happen to be a mother and two amazing daughters. The *parlor* is always immaculate and clean. They are always kind and helpful and Lilly who does my nails is a perfectionist. I have never had such great service at a nail place in the past. I never have to worry about my nails not looking their absolute best as I leave the shop as everybody takes great pride in their work. They have loyal customers who absolutely LOVE ...the crew who works there and I feel like this is a place where I will be coming for all my nail needs for a very long time. It is bright and open with wonderful windows, not too big, and never smells like so many other nail places. If you are looking for a great local business to try and get a wonderful mani/pedi, this is the place to go. I usually don't write a review after only one trip to a nail salon (it can be a fluke), however, I feel really strongly about my experience here today.  I walked in (probably not the best idea especially during the dreaded *season* - yes I am a local).  They were able to take me right away.  I had the Luxe Lavender Spa Pedicure and it was worth every single penny.  It starts out as a regular pedi but then it gets really great.  They give you a lavender scrub and Lilly, my nail technician, proceeded to give me the most awesome (and longest) massage I can ever remember getting while having a pedicure.  It was so long and luxurious that I almost fell asleep.  Simply divine.  Then they put the most fragrant paste all over my feet with a hot towel and I thought I had died and gone to heaven.  I had a gel pedicure because I needed a really durable polish (and it was raining - they added an extra $15 which is not bad at all).  Although they did not have the color I was looking for I ended up with a beautiful dark purple.  I only wish the UV machines were made for pedi's a little better.  Finally, I received another quick massage at the end with a lavender lotion.  It was TOTALLY worth the price as I cannot remember a better pedicure.The people are nice, the customers are nice, and the establishment is open and airy with big beautiful Windows.  It also does not have the *smell* so many nail places do.  This will be my go-to place when I want to take a little *me* time or I have a special occasion.  Absolutely, the best nail salon I have found in Boca!  A++++++ Read Less

After moving to Florida I was really nervous about finding a nail place. I've had a lot of nail techs screw up acrylics or paint gel polish on to my cuticles or cut my skin. My first visit to the Nail Parlor must have been my lucky day because my nail tech was Jasmine. She doesn't mess around when it comes to nails. She makes sure the shape and gel are perfect, my real nails are secured to the acrylic and she actually gets the acrylic right up to my cuticle so there is no gap right after getting them done. My mother made an appointment several days in advance. We vacation in Florida a few times a year. The day of they called her and told her they could not accommodate her appointment offering no alternative or explanation. I get that they want to cater to their regular clients but going about it in the manner that they did was unacceptable. Will never go back there. Read Less

I wanted my Mom to get a mani/pedi on her natural nails by a place with good reviews. Although The Nail Parlor is very clean and the staff is nice, my Mother's cuticles on her hands weren't pushed down ahead of time and weren't cut well at all and one finger ended up bleeding at the cuticle. The nail polish wasn't cleaned up well either. Her Pedi was charged as a regular but she had neither a scrub (she didn't have any hard skin to pumice) and she certainly didn't receive a "1 to 2 minute massage" when lotion was applied. Had really lovely service from Lynda,  the owner, her sister Yaya and their mother. Was a Monday,  so they were the only ladies working, and we seemed to be the only customers, which was perfect, because I was having a belated Mothers' Day/girls' day with my grandmother and aunt.Parlor was small, modern and tidy, and they definitely took their time with us to make sure everything was just right. In the end I actually ended up with the wrong color polish on my nails, but I had such a good time with them and with my family, that I didn't notice till I got home. And honestly it wasn't that big of a deal. (My own fault for not paying attention/saying something when I noticed the color looked off.) Just for the service, and the reasonable pricing ($100 covered my gel mani, regular pedi with a good soaking and pumicing, a french pedicure for my aunt, and a manicure for my grandmother.) My mom and I decided to make an appointment for The Nail Parlor, which has only been open about 5 weeks. We both booked a mani/pedi, which had a special for $44 (gel manicure that is!) and we found the place super easy, it's next to the Pier 1 off of Lyons Rd.First off, the place is sleek, big, and airy. The pedicure 'bar' is very comfy, & a great layout.  There are over 100 colors to choose from for polish color, by Essie & O.P.I. I really enjoyed my pedicure & I finished off with a gel manicure bc I wanted it to last longer then a regular mani. The nails looked great! They offer waxing too.
