I made a reservation here because of great reviews on yelp however I wasn't so fortunate with my service like other yelp users. About a week ago I called them to make an appointment. Nobody picked up the phone however I received a text message shortly after saying that I could book an appointment through the text message. I thought to myself that it's a great start as far as the customer service goes. I booked an appointment for 2:30pm on Saturday for mani and blowdry, requesting to get the wash done first, then manicure and then the blow dry. I like to let my hair air dry before the blow dry to protect it from the damaging heat. I was told that it's possible. I also saw on their website and yelp that they offer a complimentary scalp treatment. I asked if I could get that done as well and I was told that yes, of course. My appointment was yesterday, on Saturday. At 2:13pm I received a phone call from them asking if I am still coming for the appointment, since my appointment was scheduled at 2pm. Honestly I was very confused, saying that I was on my way since I was scheduled at 2:30pm. I checked text messages and I didn't get any text message them saying that my appointment was rescheduled to 2pm. So when I arrived to the salon at 2:30pm, I was told that my mani and blow dry will be done at the same time since I was late. I was shocked because it was clearly their mistake that they didn't let me know that they actually rescheduled my appointment to 2pm. I thought to myself that it was not a good start and my intuition didn't let me down, unfortunately! My hair wash was extremely fast. Forget about scalp treatment if they are running late! Of course I did not get my complimentary scalp treatment! I didn't mention anything about it thinking, well maybe it will be done later and it was never done (not surprised at all). Don't then advertise something, if you can't keep your promise! I cared less about scalp treatment, since it wasn't the service I was scheduling but it's just a principal! The most disappointing part of yesterday's visit was my manicure. First of all I was asked if I preferred my cuticles pushed or cut. I said cut. Technician pushed them and then started cutting them. She cleaned them so little that I still had most of the skin on the nails. When I looked at the nails, it looked like nothing was cut at all. She also barely filed the nails, she didn't try to create any shape what so ever. I chose the nail polish that suppose to last for up to 10 days. My nail polish on 2 fingers chipped already the same night (yesterday). The nail polish was applied very unevenly (10 year old could have done probably a better job!). The top coat was applied just in the middle of the fingers so today all my edges are chipping off as well. I actually already removed the nail polish because I could not stand to look at them. It was the worst and fastest manicure in my life! Ironically this technician didn't have any other clients after me, so I was just wondering why couldn't she take her time to deliver a great memorable service to gain a new customer; after all she didn't have anyone after me.I was SO upset because I was going to the birthday and I didn't have time to fix this awful manicure myself or go any other salon. I felt embarrassed an entire evening because of the nails, I tied to hide my hands all the time. Blow dry came out great, thank god! At least one positive experience. I tipped a hair dresser who did my blow dry, and didn't leave any tip to a manicurist. It was my first time in my life time when I didn't tip someone in a customer service, this is how bad was that manicure! I am still upset that I waisted my time going there! Never again! Read Less
