I decided to try this nail place after reading all the positive reviews it's really nice and cozy.Van is amazing she was very welcoming and there was a family atmosphere in there.i just walked in and was served asap,I was amazed to see how my nails turned out I had acrylic for years and I decided to take them off and do a gel mani.i wasn't too crazy about the pedicure an old lady did it she was nice but I wish she was more thorough.overall I had a nice experience. ppl would come in and sing praises about the place.i would definitely go back but they closing for 6 weeks remodeling and reopen around March 17th. Best manicure I ever had! I choose this place seeing good reviews and they were absolutely fair. My nails were done excelent and extremely fast. In 20 minutes I got manicure and gel polish - french. Well, when I've returned home, I've noticed that the guy put only one layer of nail polish on my feet, which doesn't look good specifically for darker colors. 5 Star Nail Salon?!?!? No way...not in Miami!!! Well guess what Van Nail has broken the mold & stigma I had of nail shops around town! The owner is super nice, bubbly, welcoming and honest! She has a great vibe towards her customers and employees. Kinda like that tough cookie but sweet! But let's talk nails! I have been so disappointed in the past of gel manis that just start chipping and lifting at the edges before the first week is over. So I often just pull or rip then off before the two weeks are up! I made a last minute appointment for a gel mani-pedi. When I arrived I was take immediately by a very friendly woman who I later learned was Van, the owner! She efficiently removed my old gel manicure in under 5 minutes and I was done with my new application within 15! The color came out gorgeous and my cuticles were maintained without any damage or dryness. Then I was ushered to the pedicure chair for my gel pedi. Again, Van was super efficient and I was done with my entire treatment (gel mani and pedi including removal) in under 1 hour! I have been getting my nails done for over 5 years and have never had better service and quality. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating.During my precious visit here I chipped my nail after one days and they offered to fix it for free; their customer service is highly professional and they really listen to any and all feedback. I couldn't get an appointment at my regular nail place so I looked on Yelp for the next highest rated. Van Nails was able to take me right away! They are family owned, very clean and organized! Van, the owner, took care of my gel manicure ($30). She even helped me pick a color and decide on a simple design for a bachelorette weekend. She was incredibly cordial and warm, even making sure to remember my name! Tom took care of my pedicure simultaneously, saving me so much time. I absolutely hated the full set I had done from another salon so I wanted to take them off completely, but the owner of salon said she would be able to fix them so I decided to take a chance. I happened to be in the area on a work trip so I called Van Nails to see if they had any openings on a Saturday afternoon. They were able to fit me in immediately since it happened to be a holiday weekend - I feel lucky! Van Nails is one of the best nail salons I've ever been to, and I've been to A LOT around the country. Honestly, if they had a location in my town I might actually think about ditching my usual place. They're that good. First off, the gel polish selection was unparalleled, there were so many choices! (And - small detail - the examples on the plastic "nails" were beautifully painted. I know that's a weird thing to notice, but I happened to.) Next, the woman I had took such care on my nails and they turned out beautiful. I had cracked a nail so bad I thought it would have to be trimmed down, but she worked a dang miracle and repaired my nail! She also trimmed my nails to be actually rounded, not just filing them to a rounded shape. It makes all the difference. The manicure turned out amazing and the price was incredible! $30?! I've had much worse manis for at least $10 more. Also, another small thing I noticed is they have lots of regulars and treated them like family. That always signals an awesome salon to me.
