I started going to this nail salon because it was conveniently located near me. I have gone about 5 times now and will NEVER go back. When it came time to pay, the man that was working on my manicure took my card and told me it was going to be $50 so I immediately said $10 tip. The guy literally stared at me and said “$10? For three people?” At that point everyone looked at me. I finally said $15 tip and he was like “okay”. Never have I been embarrassed by any business like this. HOW DARE YOU. I was quick to offer a 20% tip and that wasn’t good enough for you??? Do you forget that tipping IS NOT a requirement???? People do it because they appreciate good service which I now see is lacking with this business. And for the record only 2 people serviced me, not 3. Very unprofessional and unappreciative. First time i come to this nail salon due to location i saw it convenient. i got a full set with gel color by Nancy . Honestly I was impressed of how great she worked, she double check her work in every step of the process and my nails are just perfect! We did had a little inconvenience with the collar because under collar will the number that I requested apparently was no longer available but they had another one similar with the same number on it a little too bright for my taste but it's not ugly so I rather just keep it. other than that I was very satisfied with the service I received today and I would definitely be coming back to her. When I walked in, I was immediately assisted to receive my pedicure first. About 5 minutes into my pedicure, another woman walked over to start working on my fill in for my nails. I thought how convenient it was at first however the polish job and shaping was very poor! I had her attempt to rectify my polish bc I didn't realize how poor my shaping was until after I left. I try to never give bad reviews but this I feel is necessary! I made an appointment for 1pm today for eyelash extensions & a brow wax..( I usually see another girl but I thought I'd just get them done this 1 time at polo nails because I had my son with me and it was a lot more convient! It took probably a hour because she kept messing up (which takes my lady 20 minutes). Some of The lashes are dangling from my real lashes clumped together with globs of black glue! Just awful!!!! I have been going there for a while now and I definitely done with this place. Totally empty and they said for me to come back in an hour?!! I asked for stiletto nails and possibly switching to acrylic nails versus natural and no one was any help. I asked for a multi color nail polish and told it looked like stickers...it was from Esse spring collection in Paris. Tired of them ruining my cuticles and the broken nails. I have been to this place 2 times before and they were usually very nice and did an excellent job. This time I went in for a gel manicure and everything was fine at first, but when my nails were done the guy who was doing them started to rub lotion on my hands. I thought this was normal at first because I had experienced it in other nail salons (although never at this place), but the guy kept going higher and higher up my arms. Then he got up to give me a shoulder massage and I felt very uncomfortable. Immediately I told him to stop and I got up to pay. At the register, he coerced me into giving him a $5 tip (when I had originally intended on giving him $3). I don't know if his intent was malicious or not,  but when he was doing my nails he asked me how old I was because he thought I looked 17, so I'm leaning a bit towards the malicious side. Read Less

The people are nice but their polishing is not refined. I had gel color on my nails and it was lumpy she kept polishing it with clear and putting my hand under the lamp which made it look ok, but once it fully dried I saw the smears. My toes smudged a day later when I put on my shoes because they caked on so much polish without letting them fully dry. This place is truly a hidden gem!! I have an older gentleman who always does my nails. He's works quickly and has great quality in his work. Everyone there is super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I get a beautiful gel fill for $30. Their pedicures are wonderful as well. Super relaxing!! This is definitely my go to place!! My friend wanted to take me to get a pedicure for my birthday.  I told her I had been to and enjoyed Bahama Nails on 434.  Somehow she called and made reservations here when they told her on the phone this was a "second location."  Not true.  I had the most painful experience getting a pedicure ever.  Everything hurt - the brushes, the pumice stone, I ended up just telling them to stop and paint my nails - but even the toe separator hurt and left marks on my toes.  Now I wear a size 5.5 shoe and have small feet - they must have given me a child's separator because I had marks on my toes for an hour after I took that blasted thing off.  I will not be coming back here ever again. I used to like this place, the girls who do the pedicures are very sweet, and do a great job.  However, I got acrylics last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago) and they were the WORST I've ever had.  As I sat down I was explaining what I wanted and was basically talking through another employee to relay what I wanted to the tech doing my nails.  As I was getting them done I had to basically explain to the guy how to do the acrylics.  -I wanted the white wider (had to tell him 2-3 times) -he barely put any acrylic on my pinky nail, it was so thin that it would've immediately broken or chipped.-As he was filing he never buffed the nail to make it appear smooth, so I had scratch marks on the nail because the file was too rough.After 2 days, TWO DAYS the acrylics were lifting and peeling!  OH, and while I was checking out my total was $25 and the lady ringing me up said "Your total is $25, I'll just charge you $30 for tip, ok?"  I was so thrown off by that I couldn't react with a NO!  I honestly wouldn't have tipped the guy at all!I will NEVER go here again...they seem to be busy, but that might be the main cause of problems...not focused enough on the customer. They did a terrible job! I was getting a fill and while filing down the existing gel, the man who was doing my nails filed to far down and cut into my nail causing me to bleed. I had to point out that my finger was dripping blood and even then he giggles and put the liquid on it to stop the bleeding. When I went in yesterday I told them I wanted a gel manicure with some nail art. The said it would be a 5 min. wait... 15mins. later I sat down to get my nails done... I was I formed they don't / couldn't do the design I wanted.  It was a cobweb... Total of 6 lines. So, I asked if another person could do it, the lady asked a guy who yelled at me, saying "no nail art" If you don't do nail art that is fine... I have been a regular customer of this place for many years now. They are very professional and always do a great job. Services that I had include manicures, pedicures, and brow wax. They always go above and beyond and pamper their guests. Other places will charge extra for salt scrubs, lotion, and massages- but they include it with their mani/pedi package. I have been going to Polo Nails for the past two years and up until yesterday I have been happy with them.  I went in for a fill and what should have taken 1/2 hour took 1 1/2 hours!! Also, my almost all my cuticles were nicked by the drill, my nails were filed too short, and when I was finished I had acrylic and nail polish all over my fingers.  I called the next morning to complain and the really didn't seem to care.  They said I could come in and they would fix my nails but after the abuse my fingers took the night before I don't want them touching my hands!!! I have never given this low of a rating, but if there was a zero star rating, that's what I would give to this place.  I went during the week in the middle of the day, I didn't expect anyone else to be there; however, no matter where or when I get my nails done, there is always at least one additional customer there.  I was immediately greeted, although I felt more attacked as they all started talking- I didn't know who to tell what I wanted!  I don't know the terminology or technical terms very well, but I did know I wanted the pink and whites (where they dip the brush into the powder and it turns into a gel-ish consistency).  I explained what I wanted, and they were very rude and seemed annoyed I didn't know the terminology.  I was sat down, but then another employee was trying to make sure she understood what I wanted, and after helping to clarify, I was moved to her table.  I've had pink and whites done at two other places, and this was not the best quality!  A place I went to after this to get my nails filled and cleaned up before a wedding even commented on how terrible the quality was!  The nicest person in this store was the young girl, assuming someone's daughter, maybe in junior high?, but she wasn't even an employee and had the best customer service.  The technician didn't fully clean up my nails, and the comments she made came across as very rude and that I was somehow at fault.  I wish my other nail salons were in the area/city so I could recommend them, but now I have to search for a new nail salon. I really like this place. It's not a super fancy, smancy place but they are good.This location is so convenient since it's less than 5 minutes away from where I live. Right when you walk in, the staff immediately greets you and gets you situated with whatever service you need done. I've gotten my pedicures and manicures here and they are great! I have rules about these places:- Don't get your brows waxed (I've had two bad experiences)- Don't get a facial (I never have, but I don't think it's a good idea)- You'd be better off just getting a pedicurePolo is the closest nail salon to my house - it is right next to my Publix. I used to get manicures and pedicures here, but numerous technicians would always make the skin near my cuticles bleed. And that leaves scabs that take days to heal. :/ They were too aggressive with the cuticle thingy. I never get fake nails, so it's pretty silly to always get butchered with a simple manicure/cleanup. So unless I can go to a more proper nail salon, I never get manicures anymore and just do that myself.However, for pedicures I go here once a month. Nothin' wrong with that! Go on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday because those are the slowest days. Not only will you get a technician fast, they pay way more attention to every step of the pedicure. Read Less

This rating is for Tony - I would not go here if he left! He is my go-to guy for pink and whites. He's extremely efficient, I am in and out in about 45 minutes, and he always does quality work. Tony not only makes my nails pretty, he is very gentle and doesn't cause "fileburn". I stopped visiting here years ago, when one of the technicians slashed my pinkie. My friend suggested I give it another try, but was very adamant that I request Tony. What a great call!! Read Less
