Do not go here. This place destroyed my eyelashes and has been deeply unprofessional and unhelpful in response. I went yesterday to get a ‘lash perm’ and within an hour of leaving the salon, my eyelashes were crimped, fried, and crooked. The only advice they offered me is to put water on my lashes, which does not work. I also woke up this morning with swollen lids and slightly blurry vision. When I reached out to them to get assistance and ask for the name of the product they used they told me that the were closed till Wednesday and were only texting me back ‘as a courtesy’. ive gone for other services when they first opened and they were all pretty good (4star worthy) but i was emailed a promotion and after giving birth 3 months ago i thought a little mommy pampering would be awesome. i booked a facial with Meka (based on rave reviews here) but I left quite underwhelmed. We are all entitled to less than stellar days and since others have had such pleasurable experiences, im guessing maybe it was an off day. But I immediately got the feeling like I was imposing. I was barely greeted, wasnt asked anything about my skin care regiment and goals for the vacuum facial. i wasnt told about the process or products, she just went to work. i asked a few questions but got short replies and when extracting, I started bleeding in 2 spots, one that scabbed up for a few days. Nothing was said. When it was over, i was just told to get dressed and meet by the register. The receptionist was actually really nice. I was finally offered a cup of water as I was leaving. I just received the BOMB facial Meka!! She was so thorough, and sweet, and welcoming. She addressed all of my facial needs, I have acne issues and am on a specific regimen. Usually extractions are just awful, but she was efficient and although it's not pleasant it certainly was the best I've had done. Super cute atmosphere, and nice location. I came to get microblading and I love the results. Helena gave me a really nice shape without me even telling her much of anything. I would come back for another service.Only things that sucked was the lady upfront asked me if I wanted water to drink, and I said yes. She said sure hold on... and never came back with the water. The only reason I'm not doing 5 is because I've been to another place that was over the top in terms of service and give advice based on what they saw during the facial. This was my first visit to Skin Beauty Bar. I had a gift certificate for a facial. From the moment I walked in there was a sense of calm and relaxation. The waiting area was bright and tastefully decorated and it was filled with a lovely fragrant scent. First of all, Skin Beauty Bar recently wiped all their old reviews because they had a lot of negative ones. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the new ones are written by employees. The old reviews mentioned a lot about unorganized scheduling and bad customer service, and now I understand why. I scheduled an 11am appointment for a massage only to show up to discover I wasn't in the system at all. I showed the receptionist my text conversation with their scheduler (you can schedule over text) and she unapologetically said "well you're not in our system." But she said they were able to see me anyway though. I sat and waited for 45 minutes until I told them I was going to have to reschedule if I couldn't be seen soon. The receptionist said, "Oh, I put you down for noon." No idea why she'd do that without making it clear to me that they couldn't see me at my original appointment time, so I left. This place is terrible in the customer service department and they seem extremely unorganized and unprofessional. The worst part about it all is that my husband gave me a gift card here so I have to go back and use it eventually.*Update: I just received a very angry text from the owner saying this Yelp review is not warranted. She told me I was making false accusations about her business and that I should give my gift card to someone else. I'm just going to let that speak for itself. Read Less

I went to Skin Beauty Bar because I got a Travelzoo deal for a Swedish Massage. In terms of aesthetics, the facility itself is nice enough. The room where I got the massage was very small. The masseuse didn't have enough room and was banging into things throughout the massage. Due to the lack of room, she had to move my arm in an awkward way to get around at one point, which was uncomfortable. Overall, the massage was fine- not the best and not the worst.When I finished, I went to the front desk to checkout and asked for the actual price of the massage so I knew how much to tip. I was shocked to hear that a 50 minute massage there is $90. For a $40-$50 Travelzoo deal, this was acceptable. i wouldn't pay full price there though. Read Less

I had an AWESOME massage with Lashon! I had a groupon here for a 60 minute swedish massage. It was a cold rainy day and the room where I had the massage was great - super warm and toasty. Lashon was great, the massage was really deep which I particularly like. But it was also really relaxing. The music that was playing was also really relaxing. I would definitely go back again.
