I paid top dollar based on their recommendation that I try the new SNS nails that were supposed to be stronger and last longer than gel. I usually get pink and white gel which never breaks. My nails are fab !I have been getting acrylics on and off for years and these guys are the best ! They last me 6 weeks ! Best mani/pedi I have ever had! Fantastic customer service!!! I got the deluxe mani/pedi and it was well worth the money. The staff was super friendly and I was sufficiently pampered with snacks and beverages. The only feedback I have is to do some renovations in the facility itself. I was in DC and really needed my nails done before a conference the next day. Patsy's had great reviews on Yelp and I was expecting a lot considering the raving reviews. Unfortunately, I was not blown away. A gel manicure cost $40 and did not include removal of previous gel. Came in during a snowstorm because Mimosa tricked me and was closed after I travel all the way from Maryland. Had to say I'm disappointed. Manicure was subpar and didn't last long. Also noticed that the girls just left as they pleased, maybe because the day was slow? I'm in D.C. visiting my brother and we decided to randomly get our hands and feet tended to. We stumbled upon Patsy's because of the reviews and we were both pleased. I joined Yelp, just to write a review because the service was THAT good.I have had my nails done A LOT and I have never been as satisfied with the service as I was when Ruby was done with me. Ruby was very polite and detail oriented. She seems to be a perfectionist and painted my nails with exceptional precision. I enjoyed the quaintness of the salon and I was happy to see that they stocked quality gel polish. At 9:30 AM on a Saturday, I was able to book an appointment for 12:30 that same day.  Being a dude, I got the mani/pedi combo with parrafin wax for the pedicure. Being a guy, the took me upstairs to the "man cave".  I was the only one up there so it was nice to not have the hustle and bustle.The pedicure was really good with detailed work and a nice leg and foot massage.  I had a separate lady for my manicure.  She did a buff polish which was a great job.  I was thoroughly impressed.  It was rather expensive - about $75 for the combo, but well worth it. Patsys Nail Bar is solid and conveniently located.  I stumbled on it one day when I was having lunch with a friend next door.  When I went last year we could get 2 drinks of whatever we wanted--soda, water or chamapagne.  They also gave little cups of trail mix snacks.  However when I went this time I don't think snacks were being offered just drinks.  The nails job is ok to good. the two times I've gone my nails have turned out nice, no complaints.  I like that they have Zoya colors.  It's moderately pricey at $40 for a pedi and $60 for a mani-pedi which I suppose is normal for the area.  However I'm disappointed by the quick and rushed massage part.  I'm used to having the technician do at least a 5 min massage on my legs but here they kind of flew through it.  I wasn't sure if it was because we were the last appointments of the day or if that's standard.  Also my tech was a little rough when she was doing my cuticles and shaping...I had to speak up a few times before she loosened up.  The manager is pretty friendly and I like the space on the 2nd floor.  I highly recommend calling to make an appointment as they tend to fill up fast. I've been trying different nail salons in D.C. and have heard good things about this place but this place wasn't for me. Too much clutter due to very small space and it did not look clean. I did not find staff friendly either. I really liked my technician though, she was very professional (CND specialist) and thorough and used same base coat and top coat to the actual nail polish. Patsy's was recommended by my coworkers. It seems to be a lovely place. This was my WORST manicure experience ever. I was going to go back to let them fix one of the problems, but, it wasn't worth wasting more of my time. I sat there from 10:30 am to 12:30 to get shellac removed and get basic polish.  She cut FAR down into my nail bed with a metal pusher, super glued it back together. She "cured" regular polish with a light, it dried 14 hours later, a mess. It looked like a kid did it, with their eyes closed! What happened?!! Read Less

HOW oh HOW does this place have more than 3 stars?! For a $55 gel fill, yes, I said fill and not a full set, I am so disappointed! There is a dent in my thumb because LV did not know how to properly do gel nails (she had so many great reviews,I'm not sure what happened to my poor poor nails) She had redo two of my nails because the gel was so lumpy (I didn't see that my thumb had a dent in it until I reached the office -_-) Please STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND SAVE THEM COINS lol!!! They are overpriced for the quality of work that they provide. I just couldn't believe the price of a gel fill in was $55, so I had a friend call and they told her it was $50! LV spoke to me and said it is $30 for a fill (standard for DMV area), $20 for gel polish ($20?! to paint my nails with gel?! watttt?!) and $3 to take off gel polish are you effing kidding?! ugh, but ok fine...so that only adds up to $53, where is the $2 charge coming from? LV says: Oh the lady priced you wrong its actually only $53! -__- the polish change you got on your feet was actually $18 not $13...clearly the place is just making up their own prices! This was my 1st and last time here! Cant believe I paid $71 for a GEL FILL and a polish change on my feet ugh ugh ugh just disgusted with the price! I usually go to Katie who works at Top Coat Nail in Alexandria, I wish I would have just drove to her like I normally do(shame on me being lazy) she is AMAZING, uses quality products, and is a bit cheaper! UPDATE: Reporting back after having gone a few times. You have to get Daniella. The other woman whose name I won't mention did an awful job, worked terribly slow, and her nail polish application technique was very splotchy. My nails chipped after 3 days. I ended up just taking it off myself. Since then I've been back twice for a regular manicure because the gel really isn't worth the cost, but have stopped going for manicures because it's too pricey when I can do my nails myself. I really only go to salons for gel. I had a great first experience. Got a gel mani and really my only complaint and the reason for taking off one star is that the price was stupid high! Just moved from NYC a few months ago and a gel mani there is $25 (which is the cost of a regular mani at Patsy's), so $32-$34 with tip; a regular mani is $10 which meant weekly manis at $10 a pop were an easy affordable luxury. However, despite knowing NYC is inexpensive compared to most cities, I was still blown away at Patsy's prices. It's like $45 for a gel mani which if you tip at 18-20% ends up at $60. Definitely will have to be a monthly indulgence. NOW, the flip side -- they do an incredible job, spend a lot of time with you, and have great customer service. The woman layered a couple of colors to get the perfect shade of natural pink -- the outcome was a nice natural color with a little iridescence. Really lovely. Also, the manicure is holding up beautifully. I'm on week 2 and it looks perfect, obviously with a little growth peeking out at the base of my nail as would be expected. But I've knicked my nails and would glance down in a minor panic thinking for sure I chipped them, and nope! Hoping I can make this place my go-to, and will report back on my second visit! Read Less

I have an annual holiday tradition of treating myself to a manicure and I was crunched for time and looking for a place near a metro line in DC to do it.  Good old trustworthy Yelp came to my rescue and I discovered Patsy's Nail Bar!  I made an appointment and they were available the same day - Sweet!  The manicures do cost a bit more than some other places in DC - the regular was $20, but I really loved the job done and my nails are still looking fabulous over a week or two later.  My nail stylist was nice and chatty (we chatted about holiday shopping), though my only complaint is that she was sick. I really don't think nail stylists should come to work when sick, since they are interacting directly with their customers and I really didn't want to catch whatever cold she had.  She had to step away a few times to cough.  Also, at the end of my manicure, as I was getting ready to dry my hands, she barely said goodbye and went and sat in the back to eat food. Other than that, she did a good job professionally. My nails were perfect and I appreciated that she used acetone on the skin to wipe away any residual nail polish marks on my fingers. It was a neat application and I loved and still love my sparkly red nails!  I would definitely return.  It might not become my go-to nail bar (there are plenty of nail salons closer to where I live and I likely won't be on a time crunch next time), but it's a solid place and very conveniently located a few blocks from the Farragut West metro station and Farragut Square. What sorcery is this??? A regular, non-gel manicure that lasts two weeks?  My first visit to Patsy's, I had an incredible experience.  The technician took the time to mend/fill broken nail and was meticulous with the cleaning and the polish job.  I had a bit of sticker shock when I discovered the mani was $24, and vowed to return but resigned myself to that fact that it couldn't be my regular salon because of cost.  Imagine my delight/surprise when my polish remained unchipped for over two weeks.Convinced it was a fluke or a lucky polish choice, I returned to Patsy's after cheating once with my normal place (and experiencing chipping the very next day).  I'm coming up on a week since my manicure at Patsy's and there is not a chip in sight!!!
