I'm 8.5 months pregnant and my friend treated me to a pedicure here. Wow - what a treat! Got the green tea option and didn't regret it one bit. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The foot/calf massage was worth the money alone, and the shoulder massage while my nails dried was an added bonus. Best pedicure I've ever gotten! Love Grace Nails. Your experience here however will vary based on the day and which technician you have doing your nails. I've had a couple just OK experienced but most have been wonderful. They do a great job and most technicians are very meticulous. Last visit they were very busy because the appointments before me showed up late so I had to wait for 20 mins even though I made an appointment but they made it up to me by offering me a extra 10 min massage next visit which was worth it to me. I also love the updates they did to the place. The paint on the walls and décor were terrible but they did a tasteful job updating everything. Prices are also very reasonable for what you receive. $12 for a mani with paraffin wax on your hands plus a 3 min massage is relatively inexpensive compared to other nail salons, especially for West Hartford. This is my go-to nail salon and plan to continue going as long as I live in the area. I highly recommend it! Read Less

I went to Grace based upon Yelp reviews, and got a gel manicure. Pros: Extensive selection of gel polish brands and colors (including CND Shellac), reasonable prices, shoulder massage and paraffin wax included. Cons: While it wasn't dirty by any stretch, I've been to cleaner places. This is why I gave it 4 stars vs 5. Also, not easy to walk in--I suggest an appointment. I went at 3 in the afternoon a random weeknight and was told to come back at 6:30. Overall, I would would go back to Grace, but there are nicer places in West Hartford. I think I maybe expected it to be more spectacular because of the reviews on here, and it turned out to be just your average place. If you are looking for a bright, spa-like experience, this is not it. You will get an excellent manicure, though. James is great. Read Less

My go-to place for mani's and pedi's! Not sure if it is under new management or the owners just started to put money into the business but they painted the walls, added carpeting and other little touches that made the space look so much better than it did before! The nail techs are very nice and meticulous in their work (that means a lot considering I'm very picky about my manicures). They have a huge assortment of Essie, OPI and gel polishes. Also, for the price of a mani which, last I checked was $12 or $13, you get paraffin wax on your hands and a nice massage, which is much more than you will get anywhere else. Most salons charge extra for the paraffin wax and some don't offer massages. Also, if you use their punch card, every 10th visit you get $10 off! Read Less

What you get for a $12 regular polish manicure is just unparalleled! Hot paraffin wax, hand massage and TWO back massages! One while you're at the nail chair and one while you're at the dryer. It really doesn't get much better than that! Read Less

I have been coming here on/off for years. The pedicures are one of the best in the area with hot stone, decent time doing foot massage and paraffin for the heels. You can't beat it! If you do a regular manicure its the same deal...massage, paraffin, warm towels.However, the gel manicure without fail always chips within the first week of you having it, if you come back they will fix it for you, but they will make you feel guilty. Found my new nail salon!! Great location on Farmington Ave next to Treva and CVS. Two entrances allow for on street parking or parking in the rear lot. I went on a snowy Monday and it was slow, so without an appointment I didn't have to wait.Dustin did my nails and they feel amazing!! For $30 + tip I received a gel nail polish removal, gel manicure, 7 minute back massage and paraffin wax treatment. I've been going here a while for gel polish and have also had a regular pedicure here.  With one exception, the manicures and pedicure were all great--no complaints.  I did have one manicure (unfortunately I didn't catch the lady's name) that was quite sloppy (ragged edges and polish all over my finger tips).  Since then, though, Sam and James have done an excellent job on my manicures.The price is fairly standard for the area, at $30, and they include a shoulder massage and a paraffin wax treatment, which are both nice extra perks.I've made this my regular place and would recommend it to others, as well.  One, tip to note is that they are not open on Tuesdays.  Also, they were closed on a random Monday without notice as well, so you might want to call ahead. This was my 1st time coming to this nail salon and I will NEVER GO BACK! I warn you now, go someplace else! I had a gel manicure and the lady was horrible. She cut 2 of my cuticles so short that they bled. 1 wasn't bad & stopped bleeding immediately but on my index finger she cut the cuticle so deep that it bled the entire time! In the 10 years I've been getting my nails done at other places, I have never had this bad of an experience! She never apologized and said I moved my finger & that's how she "scraped the cuticle." So she blamed me for her horrible service. She then proceeded to paint that nail, even dipping the brush in the blood & smearing it on my nail. She kept putting oil and alcohol on my cuticle which made it burn & keep bleeding. She even had me put my hand under the UV light. By the end of the procedure it was still bleeding & throbbing. The lady was very unprofessional and did not follow proper cleanliness protocol by contaminating all of the equipment. Even the rest of my nails were not perfectly painted. There was paint around the skin by my nails & not evenly filed (Some of my nails are longer than the others). I still had to pay the full $30 it cost for the manicure.
