Before visiting Nail Tique, I came across several negative reviews about this salon on Google reviews and Yelp, but as always, I wanted to give it a try for myself; even if it seems easier and more convenient to judge based on reviews. Honestly, I'm so glad I kept an open mind and went. First of all, their prices are so beyond reasonable. I got a full set acrylic manicure for only $27! That's half, even a third of the price at other salons I've gone to. Their prices are unbeatable. Second of all, the manicurist did such a phenomenal job, and so did the manicurist at the station next to mine. I love how my acrylics came out. And she was so fun to talk to! I noticed a lot of reviews mentioned the space, but that's not their fault. They're a small business inside Westfarms Mall, they have no control over the size of their location. Once you're sitting down and getting your nails done, space is not an issue. Also, if you find that they have a low selection of nail polish colors (which I disagree with), bring in your own next time you visit! Worst experience ever! I went to get my gel Manicure done 3 times before I judge. Both 3 times was so BAD tech are rude and unprofessional. Last Thursday I went and got my gel Manicure done and I told a tech that is not a color I picked and she just ignored me and continue to do my nails. My nails color came off on a 3rd days🙁. I went to get my nails done on a Sunday (gel polish) and it was busy, I waited about 10 minutes; Technicians are rude, the place is dirty and plus two of my nails cracked the next day! $37 dollars to the garbage. I was expecting to get a decent job for the price. Never going back there...Read Less

The male nail tech was so rude and his work was awful. My nails look a mess, I asked him to fix the glitter Polish because it felt like sandpaper and he gave me an attitude. The shape and size of the nails are not consistent and I would never go back. Please do not waste your money. Read Less

I wish we could rate employees separately.  The first time I visited Nailtique, I had My do my pedicure. She did great. She took her time and gave my legs and feet a great massage.My most recent time I had someone else. She wasn't interested in doing a pedicure to say the least. The most she did was cut 4 toe nails and then paint them. The rest of the process, she was speeding through and did not do a thorough job. In the end, my feet were still rough in spots and I had misshapen nails.All that said, it's a clean place, but a bit cramped. The rest of the staff are friendly from what I can tell. I was there on March 12th with a friend. We made appointments earlier that day but were made to wait for 10 minutes upon arrival. My gel manicure was polished very poorly, specifically, on one nail , only two-thirds of the nail was polished, and the nail polish was not smooth on top, it was rough to the touch. My friend asked repeatedly to have her fingernails filed with a rounded shape and not pointy but ended up with pointy shaped nails. Neither of us will return there. The place seemed unclean as well. I went to this salon (inside the mall near Lord & Taylor) to get a gel manicure and a pedicure. The set up of the salon is very awkward and cramped. They have so many chairs and pedicure stations in one line and very little walking room. The selection of nail polish is good but not great.The staff was very friendly and nice, so I have no complaints about that. However, after my manicure was finished and I had the chance to look at it closer, I noticed that the gel polish on my fingers is very uneven, thick in some places and very thin in others. The pedicure was not bad (although when I said I wanted a pedicure she didn't ask which kind, so I'm not sure if I got a basic, deluxe, spa, etc.) My feet were very soft afterward and she gave a good foot massage but it was not an impressive experience. I went here on a Saturday around noon and was able to be seated quickly which is lucky for a busy day at the Westfarms Mall. I would not suggest this place for a "relaxing spa experience" but they do a solid job with a quick mani/pedi if you're in a hurry.I came in for a full set gel manicure and was pleased how they turned out but I feel 63 dollars was a bit pricey. The staff was very friendly but the space wasn't very spacious. They only accept cash tip but there is an ATM right outside their door in the mall. Read Less

This place is terrible. Do not go here. It'll be a waste of your money. I went in for a manicure and toe color change.. This lady had no skills whatsoever. She couldn't file my nails. It was all jagged. She couldn't clean up my cuticles and all the hangnails. I had to ask her to refile and reclean my fingers.. Then the painting.. Wow.. She literally bombed it. The polish was all over my skin and even on my hand.. even the toes look bad? HOW COULD THEY freakin run a business with those kind of skills? I'm heated that they're so bad. Had an apt for 12:30 with my friend, they took her on time then then at 12:45 they had me sit in the chair the water got cold they were taking other people for pedis while I was still siting in the chair.. I took my gf here for her birthday, she got the works, (French mani/pedi, eyebrows, design) and I got a mani pedi as well. We loved the service and results but felt like we were way way way over charged, $150 for all of the above when the French was advertised as free, and the designs were only on one digit of each limb was outrageous, I paid it because I didn't want to embarrass her on her birthday or I would have made a scene. I had originally went here because of convenience - it's in the mall and it's open later than any other nail salon in the area.  The environment is really important, and I didn't think theirs was welcoming.  They also had a very small choice of colors, and my manicure (one that lasted less than 10 minutes) was horribly done.  It's evident that the workers do not care about keeping a client base, but they rather know business will keep coming in out of convenience.  Even if you're in an emergency situation like I was in, don't bother to go into here. Two stars for convenience. Minus three stars for ridiculous price and average service. I have never paid +$25 for a simple pedicure in my life. The girls did a fine job but honestly it was nothing special. I have definitely received better pedis for less money. I also thought their color choices were rather limited. I didn't see any of the new OPI colors and there were no Essie colors in sight. If you are in the mall and desperate for some color on your tootsies, then certainly stop by just budget accordingly. It is really convenient to go to a nail salon that is in the mall. Pedicures are $25, manicures are $15 and pedicure plus manicure is $35-$36. The staff are friendly and the place is open and clean. They do simple nail manicures and pedicures and doesn't seem like it's so much the fake nails with tons of appliques type nail salon. Read Less

Went for a Shellac manicure and...1. They did not use real Shellac (she used Gelish). 2. The girl used a different color from the one I picked and insisted that that was the correct color when I questioned her. As a matter of fact, she used the time when I put my hands under the UV light to redo all the indexing of the Gelish nail polishes so that gives you an idea of how clueless she/the store was. 3. Since she did not use the real thing, she had to have me put my hands under the UV light for several minutes longer than is needed for Shellac. 3. The luster on the right hand and left hand ended up being different; the left hand color is duller.4. The color hue on each finger is uneven: the color pigment gravitated towards the tip of fingers, creating an effect similar to that of ugly bleach spots.5. Both the girl and her coworker kept speaking in Vietnamese while I was there and it was a bit awkward to sit there and not understand anything. I don't know how long-lasting Gelish is but I guess I will have this unsightly work on my hand for a while =( Conclusion: I won't be going back there and you probably shouldn't bother, either.
