I’m giving two stars because the price was a little high for the work being done. I got a fill for my acrylics. After 3 days of having the fill they started to crack and when typing, one of the nails actually snapped off. I wouldn’t come back because acrylic nails are supposed to be sturdy, and by doing something as simple as typing, I find that ridiculous. I can’t see spending 40+ dollars for nails that will only last 3 days before they break. The good part about the salon that stood out to me, is that it is very clean. However, I will not be back. I've been to the Nail Gallery three times for pedicures over the past couple of months, and each time it was a great experience. The salon is modern and very clean, all of the nail techs are very friendly, and the pedicure massage chairs are very new and comfy. When you arrive, you choose from a couple of different scented bath salts for the foot bath, and then they use a lotion with the same scent for the massage portion of the pedicure. Hot stone massage and paraffin wax on your heels are also included in the basic pedicure. They have a very extensive selection of polish and gel polish. They also carry CND Shellac & Vinylux, as well as OPI Infinite Shine. Great salon! Read Less

Had a great experience today at Nail Gallery! I had gel polish removed and OPI Infinite Shine polish put on. It came to $25, which I think is reasonable. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. The woman who painted my nails was new, but I think she did a great job! I'm glad I found this place! Read Less

The pedicure was okay, a little bit too long and the massage wasn't anything special, light pressured even when I informed her that it was ok to use more pressure. The prices were a little more than what I'm use to paying. There wasn't too many color options either. Read Less

Do not go here. I just got my eyebrows waxed and the lady completely messed them up (see posted photo). I will be wearing my glasses to cover my brows every single day until they grow back. I have very mixed reviews after having a pedicure done today. The first time I came to Nail Gallery was  a little over a month ago and it was by far the best pedicure I've ever had. I liked that the shop was quiet with no side banter amongst employees. They also take their time. My pedicure lasted about 40 minutes. They also include an oil treatment, salt scrub, generous massage and a hot stone massage and cost $35. I was completely impressed with my legs and feet felt once I left. To top it off,  the polish lasted for a month with no chipping. What's not to love!Fast forward to today however. I have a business dinner to attend next week and decided to get an impromptu pedicure. I walked in the door around 4:50pm and stood at the counter for about 3 minutes. I was never acknowledged or greeted. Having worked multiple customer service jobs, this was immediately off putting.. There was a woman ahead of me who was waiting to have a nailed fixed. I sat next to her and I waited. She was welcomed over to a station and I still sat by the windows with again no acknowledgement of question as to what I wanted done. I was very ready to leave when two women walked through the door and were greeted with friendly smiles and a hello. They had appointments so they went ahead of me, which was fine. However, I didn't finally get acknowledged until 5:40pm when I was asked what service I was getting done. The pedicure I received was less than stellar. It seemed as though because it was close to closing time, things were rushed and overlooked. My massage wasn't as generous as the last time, nor was the oil treatment on my feet which was disappointing. Not that KY was a huge deal,  but I was also never asked if I wanted to turn on the massage features of the chair. Also, somehow, my service was completed well before the two women who walked in before me who had the appointments and were started at least 15 minutes before I was. As mentioned above, I have very mixed feelings after today. While they say walk ins are welcome, I think they really mean "Appointments Only." I went to this salon because I had a terrible experience at another Salon I had previously went too. I'd say it's safe to say I found the BEST nail salon ever. Not only is the place super clean and modernly elegant but everyone is entirely polite and patient. Jay did my nails and I was beyond impressed with his work, skills, and attention to detail. I district manage several businesses in Connecticut and customer service is everything. When you provide a service as excellent as these guys along with customer service you just can't beat it. I love this nail salon! The people are friendly and do a wonderful job. The gel manicures are fantastic, lasting more than two weeks! Love the outcome of my nails however the man who was doing them kept picking at his dried skin on his fingers and leaving it on the table where my hands were. This same man was trying to be funny but ended up being plain stupid. He didn't look like he new what he was doing. They have a few bumps in the acrylic but I can deal with that. He pulled my hand often and was very rough and half the time while filing he was actually filing my skin and has caused brakes to my skin. It... wasn't until I got home I realised that some of my nails are different length. He didn't check this when doing them. So all my nails are different lengths, when I asked for them short he said 'no point but ok'. The two ladies doing the painting of nails were lovely and engaged in conversations with me and the lady next to me. She was also kind when handling my hand and not pulling it about. Fantastic nail salon!  I called ahead to reserve two chairs for a pedicure, but they also take walk in clients.Pros: free parking in front, clean space, great selection of colors, UNBELIEVABLE scrub/lotion/massage, great gel application, fantastic prices!Cons: cut my cuticles too short, fair application of nail polish for my mom's pedicure (polish looked messy)Overall, would definitley recommend and am planning on going back! Had such a great experience here this past weekend.  My previous gel mani had chipped (the edge of the gel got caught,  which it's not supposed to do) and I wanted a fresh coat before a get together with friends. The place was quiet for a Sunday morning so they were able to take me right away and even had the gel colors ready at a station because I had called ahead. The salon is so clean and simply decorated. I noticed that the ladies who worked there kept their voices quiet,  as another reviewer had mentioned,  which really helps with the whole "feeling ridiculously relaxed" vibe. I ended up being there for almost an hour which I didn't expect for just a gel mani.  Part of that was taking off what was left of my previous mani,  but a big part of it was that they took their time painting the nails so,  wait for it, there are no gel edges that stick out! I noticed that they use a smaller brush to spread the base coat and first color coat, which made the polish more closely adhere to my nails.  Really nice touch.  Oh and a little shoulder massage while my gels were curing didn't hurt either!My mani is FLAWLESS and I love it.  The ladies here are so sweet,  the decor is calm and modern,  there's a great selection of gel colors...I won't think twice to come here next time I'm in town. The Nail Gallery is my favorite spot to get my nails done in West Hartford. Not only is it next to my favorite wine shop - West Side Wine & Spirits (#twobirdsonestone :)) - when you walk in you feel like you are automatically transported to a different world. A world of relaxation. Every time I walk in it is quite, clean, and very comfortable. They decorated in a way that evokes "spa like vibes"  and when I go to get any beauty treatment done that is the vibe I prefer.All of the tools are sterilized and everything is very clean. I feel very comfortable and confident when they are working on my nails.  Everyone is so nice and very good at their job. You could get a different nail technician every time and your nails will look beautiful every time. I highly suggest going here to anyone who lives in the area. Read Less

Couldn't have asked for a better first time experience. Myself and my boyfriend's mom both had mani-pedis with mine being a gel, and we couldn't believe how thorough and extensive the treatments were. Even more when we both paid and the prices were so reasonable. Not only that but the place was clean and the service was very friendly. Stopped at the Nail Gallery for the first time this morning and had a pleasant experience. The facility is very clean and the staff is very nice. Shany did my gel manicure using a technique that I've never had done before and although it took a tad bit longer than other places I've been to they came out beautiful. I would like to advise that it seems like there can be a bit of a wait as they only have a maximum of 3 people working at a time (employee also confirmed this). Can't deny that it's a beautiful spot. The inside is decorated beautifully and they have a lot of pedicure chairs but the owner I believe a older gentleman is just rude. I made a appointment at 9am to come in for waxing at 3 when I got here they had to record of my appointment and told me there will be a wait. That turned me off and I ended up leaving and going elsewhere. I understand waiting if I was walking in for a service but I made a appointment for a reason. Probably won't be back anytime soon. Very few nail salons are open on Sunday so I decided to try it out. It was very busy. I waited about an hour because there was only 1 nail tech. HORRIBLE JOB! When it was my turn he rushed through. I have gel overlay and he had the drill going so fast that I felt the heat of his drill through the gel. The job was so rushed and so inconsistent. There are areas where the gel is extremely thick and then areas where he filed the gel completely off and back to my nail leaving creases in the nail polish. Shame on you! Not to mention the lumpy nail job. I gave them one star because it is a nice location. But if I'm leaving with botched nails does that even matter? I couldn't even stay to have the issue rectified because at this point I was rushing. But why would I return? What nail shop considers this acceptable work? I shouldn't have to micro manage for decent work. No one should be paying $35 for nails this shoddy. I would have loved to have had the experience that the positive reviewers had. A shame. Read Less

Nail Gallery is a very clean salon filled with excellent, and friendly technicians. I appreciate the quality of work, and environment. They have a decent selection of regular polish and an extensive collection of gel polish. i had a gel manicure done, and two days later it was already chipping. I went back, and one of the male managers immediately took me, no questions asked and fixed 9 out of my 10 nails. Unfortunately, my gel manicure chipped again just a few days later, so I opted to not go back for gel. I still go for other services, including their thorough pedicures. Read Less

I wanted to find a new place and went looking on yelp for reviews. I needed a place open on Sunday and where I could get a pedicure and lip wax. I walked in and was immediately greeted. They asked if I could wait 15 minutes and I was thrilled that it was a short wait. I didn't even wait the full time. Kevin started in my nails and he was very nice. We had a good conversation and he was very attentive to his job. Someone else took over to do the stone massage and the wax. The whole pedicure felt luxurious and not rushed at all. Just had the best pedicure here! Truly amazing, relaxing, and pampering. You can choose from green tea or lavender scent, and I went with lavender. The technician was friendly and talented, and the pedicure included a great leg and foot massage, scrub, hot stones, and hot washcloths. My feet feel smooth and my toes look fancy! My total for this plus gel manicure was $67. I think the gel manicure is $32, unless there was a discount for bundling, which would make this pedicure a really great deal. Went with my girlfriend for two pedis and a gel manicure on Sunday. We walked in and waited about five to ten minutes until our pedicures were started which is great. Been coming to USA top nails for years and would have always and have in the past recommended until today! Needed a full set of Acrylics and Gel polish then gel polish on my toes. My four year old daughter asked if she could come have her nails painted so I took her along with me to quickly get her nails painted before me then her dad was going to take her away so she wasn't sat in a strong smelling nail salon for too long! Told me I couldn't get my daughters done first and ...told me to sit in the chair, I explained she had to leave shortly with her dad so then one of the guys said he would be finished in a minute to do her nails! The guy doing my nails who has always been amazing started to file my nails down ready to start....then the other chap asked me what colour my daughter wanted so I said blue, white and glittery like frozen colours....he looked at me in total disgust and questioned the colours I asked him for!! I said it again and then the owner asked me what colour I asked for even though I'd said it three times by this point...still a look as though it was a ridiculous ask???!! Needless to say I told the guy to stop filing my nails got and said we would go elsewhere! I went here on a Sunday around noon and was able to be seated for a pedicure right away. The space was very clean, bright and peaceful. My pedicure was great, and I received an amazing foot massage! I then got a regular manicure which was great as well followed by an outstanding shoulder massage! I was in heaven. Another aspect I loved was how professional and courteous all the employees were. They really treated their customers as if this was a spa and kept their voices down to a whisper. I know that sounds odd but I really love to go get my nails done for a sense of relaxation and when there are 5 people all talking over each other it can get very loud and chaotic in a small nail salon. It was 50 dollars for a regular mani/pedi and they only accept cash tips, no ATM. Another added bonus was the charging station for your phone at the nail drying table. Had my nails done for holiday a month ago initially I was happy with my nails although the salon experience was a little chaotic as I was passed to 5 different nail technicians throughout my visit and the First Lady I saw filed the top of my nail off thinking I was having acrylics and cut them right down without even asking me I was actually have gel polish on top of my natural nails, I didn't realise how bad this was until I got my gels removed today with an acetone soak (no pulling etc) and underneath the polish my nails are completely messed up all rough thin and brittle, from where my nails were filed within an inch of their life when they shouldn't have been. A month ago I may have recommended but after the unnecessary damage to my nails I will no longer recommend. Read Less

Love Love my Shellac manicure with design. My cuticles were cut nicely(very gentle),perfect shape with awesome design made my nails look like they belong in the magazine. Super clean and very friendly staffs. My nails last for weeks. Good job guys! Read Less
