I used to love to come to blo.  Last night I had a negative experience and I don't think I will be returning. I was a good customer. But the guy who blew out my hair did not know how to blow dry. He blew me straight - complete opposite of what I asked for. He didn't know how to blo! I was very dissatisfied with the service. Paid for it, left a tip and will not return. The absent-owner doesn't empower her staff to handle such mishaps - and that's a shame because that's how you lose business. Snotty front desk girl isn't helping.  Good luck to this place. And oh BTW, hair dressers should not be wearing dirty goth black nail polish.   They should be neat and professional. I'll find another blow dry bar that works for me. Read Less

I've been here twice, and both times were a great experience. The last time in particular on Xmas Eve, I got my hair blow dried and curled - but with a flat iron as my hair is fine and doesn't hold curls any other way. She did an AMAZING job! Going to a NYE wedding and tried Blo for hair and makeup.  Best decision ever! Not only are the prices great...the stylists are the best I've ever had...and I've had both done for events multiple times.  For makeup,  go to Venice.  She is the best makeup artist ever! So modern and understands the styles.  She also made me look glamorous without the overdone foundation which I feel happens often.  The hair stylists are excellent as well.  Very friendly  and fun environment.  I'm going to find a Blo back in Chicago! I was in town last weekend for a special event and found Blo Blow Dry Bar utilizing Yelp and Instagram.  Am I glad I found them.  I scheduled both a blow out and a make up application.  Needless to say I walked out of the salon feeling like a million dollars.  If you need make up - go see Venice!  I get my make up professionally done quite frequently and Venice is one of the best.  She was fun, professional and very talented! My experience didn't start out well. They didnt get me in for my 2:15 pm appointment to get my lashes placed. So I waited a long time. They did start washing my hair around 2:45pm so I was on time for my hair appointment . The person who did my hair turned my whole attitude around. He quickly apologized for making me wait and explained why.  He was very sweet and listened to what I wanted. As soon as he offered to get me wine  I was feeling much better! He understood I was on a time crunch for my cousins wedding and offered to placed the lashes himself after my hair was done.  I was pleased with the service he provided and would go back again. I went here to get my hair curled for a wedding and warned my stylist that my hair has a hard time holding a curl. I asked her to do the curls tight and use a lot of hairspray. I was really disappointed when my curls fell out within an hour. Read Less

I had my hair done before my goddaughter's baptism. The staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant through the entire service. They did a beautiful job on my hair which I always have trouble styling and I plan on going back in the future to purchase clip in extensions and get my hair styled with them! 10/10! Read Less

I decided very last minute that I wanted to get my hair done and tried to make an appointment. Although they didn't have any available appointments they were able to work with my schedule and squeeze me in which I am super thankful for because my hair came out amazing. I had Diamond as my hair stylist and she somehow knew exactly what I wanted (I'm also one of those people who's awful at explaining at what I want). It looked awesome! My hair doesn't hold curls well because it is so thin, but whatever Diamond used worked wonders. She made somewhat tighter curls and they fell into beachy beautiful curls/waves. Thank you Blo! It's a quick fix when I don't have time to straighten my own hair I only wish that I could have had my roots straighter. I haven't found who does my texture the best yet. A friend from my barre class had mentioned Blo to me.  Last minute, I decided to get my hair done here for a wedding.  I was able to easily book an appointment online for 12:30 PM.  They were running slight behind, but they washed my hair around 12:35 PM.  I was offered prosecco and water which I thought was a nice touch.  My hair stylist was Diamond, who listen to what I wanted and made recommendations based on my hair type.  I wanted big curls and was worried my hair would go flat since the wedding was in 6 hours and I have heavy straight hair.  She did the front of my hair first to create the volume and then curled the back.  When she was done, I thought it looked nice but was concerned the curls were too tight.  However, Diamond reassured me that they would fall perfectly for the wedding as long as I didn't touch it and finger combed it out right beforehand.  I was nervous but she was right!!!  I didn't end up combing my hair out because the ceremony was outdoors and there was some wind.  The curls fell out perfectly in the wind.  The next day my hair still looked pretty good.... my boyfriend even commented that it still looked nice!  Even when I thought the curls were too tight, my friends said they looked great!A little on the pricey side ($40), but would definitely return again for an event or special occasion! I was thrilled to finally be able to get an appointment at Blo! They definitely are busy and book up fast. I had a standard blowout and I was so happy with how it came out. The girl who did my hair was super friendly and offered me a ton of information about bridal party packages since I told her I was getting married next year. The price is a little high for a standard blow bar, $40, but the location is convenient for me. Also, it's nice because they only have about 6 chairs so it's not like one of the blo bars I've been to in NYC where they cram 30 people in one room getting their hair done. Read Less

I can't say enough wonderful things about this salon! Every one of the girls who has done my hair is outstanding! I have long and thick hair so it is very challenging for me to style my own hair so that it is sleek and holds the style. This is why I am a huge fan of Blo! The entire staff at Blo west hartford was amazing. I came in with two biracial young girls with extremely tangled and matted hair. The entire staff at Blo attended to them and while it was a major task they never gave up and kept reassuring them that in the end they would have beautiful results they both were so excited about. These beautiful people at Blo Bar delivered! Both girls walked out of the salon looking fabulous. Their hair was shiny, healthy and nothing could Replace those smiles. The receptionist, manager, owner and hair stylists strive to make sure you leave happy every time and are super friendly!! Their "Unite" line of products are amazing- the only shampoo and detangle spray I will ever use. They even offer "Blo-On-The-Go" where they can come to you for an event. And with packages like the "Blo Tab" prices can be affordable. (hint: they put this package on sale during January). What is different about Blo is that while ALL hair stylist are lisenced hair dresses, because they only do blow drying and styling, their work is precise and clean! Blo West Hartford is the best!
