I have been to 3D nails a few times in the past, they were always slow but this last experience was ridiculous! I was a walk in and asked for a pedicure.  They did say it would be a few minutes but would start my feet soaking . I sat there soaking for 45 minutes.  I am generally a patient person and hey l like to soak my feet , but they started to hurt after a while . Then what bothered me most was an appointment came in and the owner told the girl who was about to start my feet to go to her - that made me mad truly I understand appt are appt but I had my feet in water for 45 minutes!!! I finally did get them done and normally the staff are nice but have ppl sitting there that long is ridiculous- my advice is go to a place that has more staff or at the least says we can't do it for you today - Read Less

Upon arriving around 12pm on a Friday I was shocked at how busy it was, i know, not smart on my part! Took a few minutes of me standing at the front podium for someone to actually ask me what services I desired. Once I spoke to someone I told them I would be back in an hour due to how crowded it was.I was a bit hesitant about returning due to how chaotic it was on my initial arrival, but once I returned the lady noticed me and I was told to go right to the chair. I guess me saying I would be back was code for an impromptu appointment. Let me just say that MK is amazing. My nails look great! She is also very friendly and will have you laughing he entire time. I had really high hopes in this business. I went to get my nails done with my aunt who was going on vacation and had heard of this place. We were greeted at the door and told to look at colors but I felt rushed. They told us to take the nail samples with us while we got our pedicures (okay cool). We were offered wine (brownie points!). The whole experience was very rushed though. The people are sweet but I don't feel like this was the best my nails has ever turned out. (I got a gel manicure btw) After about 4-5 days the gel started cracking and chipping which I'm not too happy about as I paid a pretty penny for my nails to last for up to 2 weeks. I've been here a couple times now to Amy and Nick, and I can't say I really have any complaints. Even on busy days they've always managed to take me at a decent time and always offer you wine and a back rub. My only complaint is that I always upgrade to the 3D manicure which is a little more expensive than a basic, I had a beautiful set by Amy for my birthday and Mimi did a 3D Hello Kitty bow & Nick did another set that featured some black rhinestones - my only complaint is that neither of these lasted very long but I will definitely be back! Walked in early on a weekday morning and it seemed busy so I sat down looking at colors. For 10 minutes not 1 single worker acknowledged me. Another customer walked in after me and every worker dropped what they were doing for her, while I still was sitting there. The salon was nice and clean, but I was not satisfied with the service I received. Maria was a lovely woman. She was polite, offered me a drink, and gave me a great pedicure. However, my manicure could've been better. Maria cut two of my fingers while cutting cuticles and dead skin. When I complained, she simply applied oil onto the cuts. Then, she messed up the polish on my left thumb and had to start over. When the polish smudged on that thumb even after 15 minutes of drying, Maria didn't properly repair the nail. She just applied more polish onto the smear. I tipped her generously because I liked her, but after watching her "repair" the smudge, I wanted my money back. I got a pedicure and it was awesome. My feet were so soft and smooth after. They looked brand new if that even makes sense. I just got the standard polish and it lasted weeks!!! It didn't chip at all. The place is very spacious and clean. The staff is wonderful. The young girl who did my pedicure was so sweet and nice. She let me know everything she was doing and was very attentive. And I also love how they offer you something to drink. They have wine!!! So this is literally the perfect place to go for an outing with friends!!They have a variety of pedicure packages that offer something for everyone. Read Less

I came in here for the first time on Sunday at 1 after making an appointment early on in the day.  The place is clean and the staff is friendly and there are many, many polish colors and types of mani-pedi services to choose from.  I was offered a glass of wine or bottle of water and chose the water.  I like the way my nails came out and will be back here in two weeks. Went twice in 3 weeks. Clean, friendly, and super friendly. 1 st time I went was for a pedicure, they were short staffed, but they asked if I wanted to soak my feet while waiting. I was offered wine, and the staff kept checking on me, and keeping me apprised of the wait. I was helped within 15 minutes. In short, the nail technician was wonderful and the pedicure she gave me was great however I have some concerns about the management. They were nice enough when I arrived, bringing me a bottle of water and sharing a birthday Edible Arrangement with me. However, upon check-out I got the impression that the manager pocketed the tip I included on my credit card receipt. Shame on me for not having tip cash on hand. The nail technician had left for her break by the time my nails dried so I couldn't give her the change I planned to get. Anyway, while chatting with me during check out, the manager deposited my signed receipt in the register, took cash out of the register, and stuck the cash into a purse. I could have completely misjudged the situation but I know nail salons have a bad reputation for treating staff poorly and I wonder if that's what was going on. If so, shame on you, Miss Manager. I was leaving a tip for the sweet woman who literally washed my feet and not for you!My conclusion: I'll bring proper cash for a tip next time (FYI, the Classic Pedi I got was $25 and the Basic Pedi is $20). Wow they will not disappoint! A nice break from the Waterbury standard! I arrived around 6:40 knowing they closed at 7:00. The moment I walked in I was greeted by two staff members, told my wait time, offered a beverage and a seat. As I waited I browsed through the vast color selection which was displayed in swatches versus the normal on the wall set up. The atmosphere was laid-back and non-rushed, I find that most nail salons will rush to get you out if it's near closing time, not here!! I was given my choice of wine (Red or White) Amy the nail technician who took care of me was really pleasant and took her time.
