My nails looked great and was very happy until about a week later they all began falling apart, I've gotten my nails done for years and beyond rarely do I have 6 break at once, owner is super sweet, great people, but extremely disappointed in the opi dip and how it was applied for the price i paid and the length of time it lasted. Amazing service!  Never in my life have I had a glass of wine at a nail salon.  My daughter was treated with cookies n juice to keep her entertained. Probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. I was in the area and they were very kind to take a last minute mani pedi appt which is why I'm giving this 2 stars. However the owner Gloria who did my nails was really bad. I've never seen someone be so aggressive. She filed my toe nails so hard on top of my cuticles that both of my feet started bleeding.. my toes still hurt. My toe nails were cut but never filed in the front so they aren't even straight. The polish was applied so unevenly too. Even my finger nail cuticles were nipped afterwards. This is very careless technician work if you ask me and I'm shocked that this is even a licensed salon. I'm impressed! I booked a same day manicure and it was great from start to finish. The salon is clean, tidy, and decorated nicely. As soon as I was seated at a station I was offered a drink.  Carmen was meticulous with my polish application and trimming my cuticles (always a mess). This was the first proper manicure I've had done, other than getting gel extensions at another salon. I am a frequent nail/hangnail biter, and have always wanted my hands to look nice, so I decided to pop into Glorious after seeing the previous reviews on Yelp. I opted for the OPI gel manicure to spruce up my natural nails. The shop itself is incredibly spacious! They are a full service spa and salon, which is very attractive. The decor is modern and very calming, and light rock/alternative played over the speakers as background noise. The chairs at the manicure station are super comfy, and the stations are immaculate.I was immediately offered a complimentary beverage by the receptionist, who was incredibly sweet. My nail tech, Nereida, was quiet for the most part, asking me questions here and there when she wasn't deeply immersed in her work. It was great to have a tech who was so concentrated on what she was doing! After my nails were done, she gave me a wonderful hand and arm massage; as someone who works 8 hours a day on a computer, this was a much needed perk! Gloria, the owner, came over and personally thanked me for stopping in. Everyone was so hospitable, it definitely took the slight nerves out of visiting a new place and not really knowing how the whole manicure process usually goes. After asking how long they had been at their current location, I was surprised to hear that they have only been there for four months! I definitely wouldn't have guessed; with the level of professionalism and the look of the store, they are the real deal. Made an appointment for our 16th month old son and it was pushed off for another patron who did not have an appointment. After waiting a half hour we decided to reschedule, later deciding to cancel all together. The owner who was styling the hair that day would not come over to explain herself instead had the receptionist apologize for over the phone as we arrived home. The only reason my wife made the appointment there was to feel the place out for herself to see if it was a place for her to get her hair done. They will not be getting our business ever, nor will I ever recommend them to anyone. Very unprofessional establishment. Read Less

I wanted to check them out and maybe get my hair done there in the future since I live walking distance from the salon so I made an appointment for my toddler to get a feel for the place. I showed up on time the day of. I waited 30 minutes with my toddler. There was another customer that was snuck in before me. I was left with the feeling that since my child's haircut is cheaper I was disregarded. First impressions count and this was a very bad first impression. Not only that but it was the receptionist that apologized and not the hairstylist. I would have preferred an apology from the hairstylist and then maybe I wouldn't have canceled the appointment I made for the following week due to the inconvenience of that day. Read Less

This is my new go-to nail spa in Wallingford. I have been on a never ending search for a true spa experience and have - until now - been unsuccessful in finding a place which really makes each customer feel pampered. Too often we walk into a nail salon and we receive a generic "pick your color", sit down and get the nails done, pay and be on your way process. So many transient customers and barely any loyal patrons. At Glorious Nail Salon,  I have finally found the place I've been looking for!! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the sweet receptionist who asks if you'd like her to take your coat and it is hung in a neat closet. All 3 nail techs Mary, Maria and Nereida are absolute STARS!! I would recommend any one of them to do your nails - they're experts and very adorable ones. The owner, Gloria is usually there and on several of my appointments personally offered me their menu of refreshments and served me delicious tea and cookies. If she's not there, all of the girls carry the same hospitable attitude. The girls really go above and beyond, hand massages, complimentary paraffin, foot massages if you're getting a pedi, complimentary (and generous) shoulder massage after doing your nails. Recently went for the aromatherapy pedicure and was very pleased!  My technician, Nereida (hopefully I spelled that right!), was awesome from beginning to end.  She started off by helping me pick out a color that would go well with my skin tone.  Fast forward to the part where she massages the calves and feet - definitely one of the best pedicure massages I've received anywhere; strong hands on that little lady :D   She finished off the massage with a little bit of hot stone therapy on the bottom of my feet, and then, wait for ittttt, hot paraffin.   I didn't realize either of those little add-ons were a standard part of their pedi services, so that was just really a nice surprise.  I've been to some other spas in the area for pedis and that's never been a part of the experience, so made me feel like I was getting a good value.  While my toes were drying, Nareida put those magic hands back to work on my upper back, awesome.  Then, to make sure I could put my boots back on without ruining her work, she plastic wrapped my toes for me; love little innovations like that.   Definitely recommend trying this place out, especially if you can get in before the end of the year and take advantage of their 15% off all services promo. Beautiful new facility in Wallingford! Walk-ins are welcome, but this is not like your run of the mill nail salon that you might find in your local mall; this a professional salon atmosphere.
