I went here last thursday for a ful set of acrylics. This terrible experience started at 9am Ish when I called to make an appointment for later that day, I was super nice on the phone and even apologized for making the appointment on the same day and would understand if they didn’t want to take me. They responded with annoyance that I couldn’t come in until 5:30 when they don’t close until 7. If 5:30 was a problem they should not have taken my appointment! When I got there I thanked them for taking me and was very kind again. What I got in return was terrible. The lady yelled at me the entire time saying that I “wasn’t relaxing my hands” I understand she is used to working on certain hands but it was uncalled for to yell at me for an hour and a half when I was trying my best and she had my hands in a very uncomfortable position. On top of this she asked me what shape nails I wanted which I said almond, she gave me staleto and when I asked nicely to round them down a little she rolled her eyes. I also asked that she not put the acrylic on so thick because it hurts my nails which she got defensive about again yelling that she was “getting a base down to smooth out after” she did not thin them down. Then before the nails were even done she wanted to know how I was paying and told me that since I wanted almond nails she had to upcharge me for a “shaping fee”! First of all she asked me what shape I wanted so I assumed it wasn’t a problem to pick the one I wanted and second, I have never been changed for a “shaping fee” in my life! I left this nail salon crying my eyes out. I have ugly, thick, lumpy, misshapen, and uneven nails that I will now have to pay a different salon to fix them. NEVER GO HERE!!

Visiting from Jersey and really had to get my nails done. Very hesitant about places to get my nails done. After looking at many reviews of many places I chose Zen. On a Saturday morning not a usualll customer they took me right in for my pedicure and fill. Amazing spa pedicure. Could be a little more aggressive with their massage. Clean shop. All girls very friendly. Massage chairs great. Tracy did my fill she was great talked to me the whole time. Didn't get the woman's name who did my pedicure but she was great too. Definitely recommend.

Stopped in for a pedicure, not my usual place but I was in need, with a friend and in Vernon. Pedicures are my obsession. I go regularly, year round. I like to think I'm an authority on a quality pedi. This salon is just horrible. My first indication it was a shadey place was the fact there were no prices listed anywhere, in my excitement to get my toes done I overlooked this. My bad. The woman doing my nails seemed to be the ring leader. She was distracted, rough and sloppy. The woman doing my friends nails was tethered to her cell, took person calls and then involved herself in our girl talk. When my toes were done I couldn't go sit under the heat because some of the staff was there talking????? It took me three attempts to get the cost out of them. After asking if I was paying cash or credit, the ring leader said $27.00, plus tip. $27.00 dollars for a sloppy paint job, which I didnt notice until I was home in better light. My son could have painted my nails better at home. I will never go back. By the way, that fancy picture of the inside they posted, is not what you are walking into.

Who would like too not be able too hear words not understood?? I find that RUDE!!! So? I don't go back!! 2 times struck out!!!

I travel a lot and I have to go to various nail salons all over the country and I must say Zen nails in Connecticut was one of the best experiences I've ever had!! very courteous very attentive super accommodating and polite I would definitely go back when I come back to Connecticut for business. Jhau was AMAZING! And She even throw in a temple massage with my eyebrow waxing!!! They were very time efficient as well!!!

This review is based on their customer service or lack of customer service. I purchased a Groupon for two gel manicures. When I called the first time to book appointments for my daughters I was told that they were no longer accepting Groupon appointments at the moment and I had to wait a while and call back in a month. My daughter went in and paid for one gel manicure since they wouldn't honor the Groupon at the time. She was less than thrilled with the results but as I still had the Groupon I called again to book the two appointments for a date in August as that seemed to be quite far in advance. This time I was told that they will only take Groupon appointments on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This did not work for us since we are trying to book the appointments prior to a vacation. When I pointed out to Linda the manager, that nowhere in the Groupon writeup does it say it is only good for certain days of the week she acknowledged that this is correct but they still aren't honoring it. I asked to speak with a higher level manager or an owner and was told there's no one available for five weeks. The best that she could do is to take my number and have the owner call me in five weeks. Needless to say, this is not acceptable treatment of customers or potential customers. I hope potential customers will consider this before frequenting this business. I would give it minus stars if I could.

I went to this nail salon for a mani/pedi after reading a few good reviews but to my surprise this place was terrible! First of all, I don't think they properly sanitize any of their tools or equipmen...
I went to this nail salon for a mani/pedi after reading a few good reviews but to my surprise this place was terrible! First of all, I don't think they properly sanitize any of their tools or equipment. Their towels look filthy and they reuse nail filers, where as with other salon experiences, they use a new nail filer for every costumer. My nail tech rushed everything from soaking my hands and feet to skipping out on many steps like pushing my cuticles and properly cleaning my feet but she also did a horrible job painting and shaping my nails. They were filed in all different shapes/lengths and the polish was uneven and jagged around the cuticles. My nails look so thick because there are 4-5 layers of polish on them!Needless to say, I will never be visiting that salon ever again or recommending to anyone else!

Very accommodating staff and clean location. I got a manicure and pedicure and it was done very neatly. The pedicure left my feet feeling refreshed and moisturized. They exfoliated, massaged, and put this cool feeling lotion on my legs and wrapped it in Saran Wrap. I will definitely be back.

No good. Woman soaked my nails for 15 seconds at the max. Didn't push back the cuticles or clean under my nails. She did not clean the nail surface thoroughly so the polish is going to last two day...
No good. Woman soaked my nails for 15 seconds at the max. Didn't push back the cuticles or clean under my nails. She did not clean the nail surface thoroughly so the polish is going to last two days at the most. No lotion, no hand massage.She spent more time looking at her phone then doing my nails. Never again.

I went here last thursday for a ful set of acrylics. This terrible experience started at 9am Ish when I called to make an appointment for later that day, I was super nice on the phone and even apologized for making the appointment on the same day and would understand if they didn’t want to take me.
