So I have been going to this nail salon every other week since they opened. I started with Annie who has now left and then went to Jenny the owner. Both great and both now gone as Jenny is ill. Today after being treated just like the girl told who was not to come on weekends because they are busy. They discriminate, they talk about you, I'm paticular in I like same person. I like to know what I'm getting each time. The girl today was absolutely HORRIBLE ! Spoke No english, I don't know where to begin. I had a pedicure she did my feet in 20 min. I think I had the same girl as someone on here. She's tall ,thin wears a gray mask. I had to tell her how to clean out ingrown nail, horrible massage, just a sloppy pedicure. Owner Sam was there didn't show any concern of my unhappiness, but they'll take your money!! Then onto manicure, I left before she could polish, I swear she never clipped my cuticles, she looked at them, my nails are all uneven, she was stabbing me with the tool. She went to finish this 10 min.manicure and I said aren't you going to clean under my nails, which mind you, I had been gardening and I get a clear with light pink polish. She uses the needle side to clean under my nails with no tissue. I'm going to say this, I complained to the board of health, I said overall they are clean but I caught her (Girl in gray mask) doing a pedicure on an older woman and because they were busy used the same tools without switching them out on another customer! I almost threw up! I told Jenny but she didn't do anything about it. I then also mentioned the waxing room. They use the same stick on everyone and I had gotten a rash above my lip for a week. I used a steroid cream to get rid of. NOT OK! Told Jenny that also, they are still doing it. It's a clean place, but as someone who goes there often, I know they don't bleach the basins, instead play on their phone all day and talk about you. Reuse everything down to paper towels. I really liked Sam and Jenny , but they treated me like a black person who had to sit on the back of the bus after the inspector came in. (I mean no disrespect ) they would seat me down by the sink alone when theres like 10 chairs. I even said I felt discriminated against. They didn't know I called, I was concerned for me and others and this was 2 months after I told them about what I witnessed and them doing nothing. Today was my last time there. I hope others are aware, I know some don't care, but you can catch things if not properly sterilized. I paid over $40 and left unfinished with my nails not clean under. It's unfortunate. They said, I was one of the best clients ,money wise, as I was consistent , I have a feeling they will go down hill without Jenny. They have lost my $225 a month. Read Less

Reasonably priced, amazing service, fantastic massage included. The only reason I only have 4 stars is because making an appt. was odd- they didn't ask for a name of phone number and seemed to over-book. Overall, though, a great nail place! Very busy Sunday mornings. Read Less

Got my lashes done and they came out awesome!  I have gone other places and they were either super expensive or "reasonable" but I had issues - like what issues?  Well lets just say Lucy did my lashes and I had zero burning, zero sticking together and could not see any clue when completed.  They look absolutely amazing and they said my fill should be done in about 3 weeks.  Reasonable and enjoyable!  On top of the overall awesome look and pain free application, at the end, while drying - she did scalp/around the eye type of massage which just was an added bonus!  All other places use a dryer of some sort or leave the room.  Best Experience ever! I went to Hyun Nail & Spa yesterday and was pleased beyond my expectations! The owner, "Sam", is a very nice man with a great staff. "Kim" did my nails. She was fantastic! Very professional, personable, and excellent at her job. My nails look fabulous! LOLTommy" was working on another customer next to me and he was just as nice as Kim. While I was getting my nails done, another staff member (I didn't get her name!) started massaging my neck and back! They also offered me some tea! The salon is clean and has the latest technology to provide the best treatments possible. They also have several private rooms for waxing. Pedicures are big here, too. A friend and I went here for pedicures after reading the Yelp reviews. I wanted a good pedi where they scrub and you feel like they're putting in some work. My feet needed it. It was $30 for a regular pedi which includes a paraffin wax dip. We called ahead for appointments the day of, but still had about a 15 minute wait between time my friend sat and I was seated. After watching my friend's very quick pedicure, I opted for the $20 mini pedi which does not include the wax because I was already disappointed and not willing to spend more money. Most of the time spent on her was on the paraffin and light massage, not cuticles or soles of the feet.  I would not recommend this place and would not return. Everything was done in about half the time it should have and with the gentlest effort. I think she ever so lightly scuffed my feet on a little buffer for legitimately 30 seconds each. I don't think it made any difference and was certainly no more than I could do at home. I had to speak up to ask for my water to be hotter. Had to for her to cut my nails. Then she tried to do the wax dipping until I explained a second time I wasn't paying for the regular pedi. At the end she sat me at a manicure table without asking if I wanted one and I had to get up and go sit at a dryer. The staff barely spoke to us at all. The salon appeared clean. I watched them light wipe out the tub, but also saw her put tools in a sanitizer. There was light music and one woman got a plastic cup of Franzia, but my friend and I weren't asked.  There's a decent selection of nail colors and a variety of brands. She did a nice job painting my toes neatly but filed them so lightly just a little swipe on each toe. While I sat at the dryer, she did offer me a back massage for about 2 minutes. It was deep and had great pressure. It was the best part of my visit. But then my friend, sat next to me for 10 minutes and no one came to offer her a massage! My experience just disappointing over all. I don't feel like my feet had a pedicure, more just someone gently washed my feet and painted my toes. I could have done that myself. Read Less

Amazing service! My nails always get great compliments! Honestly I have never broken a nail since going to Hyun...and it's been well over 3 years. They just opened another area(different store front but it's in the same plaza) where you can just purchase the lower leg/foot massage and reflexology. #Heaven Definitley give them a try, the pricepoint is far below what I've paid elsewhere and the service and quality is the very best. Ive gone to this place many of times and the past 2 times haven't been good. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back but won't do that again now. I went back because of how goes they have been in the past. I was in and out of the pedi chair in 20 min and she never even cut the nails on my left foot. She was rushing so bad she gave me a 2 sec message painted my nails and sent me to dry. To top it off I went to work 20 hours later and my nails smudged. I don't know how they wouldn't be dry that long after and showered but they are. I can't afford to waste $30 on something that needs to be redone the next day. Read Less

So today was my second visit there and the first visit was excellent , but this time around I had asked if they do appointments two Saturdays from now and they said yes they can. When they were done with my nails the nail tech said if I can do it some other time because they are busy on the weekends so with that being said just made me feel a certain way. I was trying to schedule something in advance whatever moral of the story is they said something and just switched it up on me last minute. I will not being going there anymore I'll find someone who will treat me equally like everyone else and who deserves my money. Read Less

This is my favorite nail place, it's not the cheapest, but there's little extras included in their regular pedicure that I LOVE!Paraffin wax, hot stones, massage chair ( I think all of the places have that, but I still appreciate it ). It's spacious and clean.There is still some service barriers due to language, but they have all been pretty minor. Read Less

Don't bother going anywhere else--this salon is FANTASTIC! The staff were professional and the service was outstanding. I am fairly new to the Vernon area and have been going to another local nail salon that serves a high-end clientele. I didn't feel they were worth what they were charging so I looked on YP for an alternative. I saw Hyun had one good rating so I thought I would give them a try. I had a manicure + pedicure here and it was one of the best I have ever had. Great family-owned place--very sweet people with class. I went to Hyun Nails and Spa for the first time yesterday for a manicure. Honestly, the staff was incredibly professional and pleasant to work with. The service was just great- they did everything by hand and really took the time to make sure everything was done nicely. Also, very reasonable prices for the excellent quality of service.
