I've never had a problem with this place until recently. I was getting a gel mani/pedi done, the pedi went well but at the beginning of my mani the technicians scheduled appointment arrived. When your nails get ruined...ask for a specific technician and someone else does them... been cut with a drill... nail bleeding...had sides of nails removed so they are red raw and had to ask for them to be repaired and all you get is a mouth full back about it all in front of a shop full of people and made to feel intimidated. If I could give zero stars I would. First off, the guy was EXTREMELY slow doing my nails. Usually they're much quicker at other places I go. Also The pricing was way too high and for a gel French manicure, it didn't even last one day. Ive never had such a horrible acrylic gel manicure job done. All ten nails chipped within first week and again, this is GEL that I paid $50 for!!!! I went back next day to complain and ask for my money back and the guy said he would "fix it" which I knew wasn't going to do any good as it would chip again the next day. Sure enough, I was right. If you want to get your nails done, this place really is not the place to go. My daughter has just had hers done there and if I could score them -100 that still wouldn't be enough. The nails looked like a blind 5 year old had painted them. The colours were supposed to be chrome gold and pink but ended up pink and white. Apparently she paid £10 for a bit of glitter that was the chrome and you can't even see the glitter in the nails. They also cut her finger whilst trimming them back as well. All that for £45. I have been going to this nail salon for a long time now. At first I was very happy with them and was even more happy when I first started to get the powder gel. The first girl who did my powder gel did a fantastic job and was happy with her. However, my last 4 experiences going to them were absolutely awful. One young girl, had no clue how to file my nails and I had to point out to her that her hair was going into my wet nail. The very next day, two nails chipped ( after spending $10 extra dollars to get the powder which is supposed to last longer). The manger fixed these nails with no charged but rushed doing them and they ended up chipping 2 days later. I still continued to go back to them since I have been going to them for so long. My recent experience, I got the powder gel again... 3 days later one chipped. I went back and the manager offered to fix it again. I could not find the exact color and noticed that when he was done painting my nail, it was so much darker then the rest.. he obv had no clue and got annoyed with me when I told him. He could not find the same color so I just agreed to keep it even though it looked ridiculous. The next day, one of my other nails completely split and I gave up going back to fix them. I am puzzled by some of the negative reviews.  I have been going to Cherry for several years.  I generally ask for the same tech and call ahead, so I don't have to wait for her to finish another customer.  She always unwraps fresh sterilized instruments, a new file, new buffer, fresh cotton and foil.  She never rushes no matter how busy they are.  We practice English together!  I would not hesitate to recommend Cherry Nails. I have been coming to Cherry 's for over 2 years. I come when I'm attending an event and several times during the summer. Sadly I've been burned twice. Once with wax the next with cutbacks. In May i had an eyebrow wax (rarely done) 1. You never blow on the wax to cool it off..(wave it) less bacteria from the mouth to go on a clients face. 2. 6/8 Paraffin wax only 1 dip to the usual 3?! It took them 2x longer to remove very thin wax. At least 2 dips please. Many know this is a perk of this salon. One dip is unacceptable. Toe paint was done well. finger paint? cuticles still there.not painted to the edge means..I look like the color is growing out that day and onward. No massage for another client .where did the massuese go? No one took off my toe spacers..it was down to 3 cleints . 7 staff. Really? My finger tips look horrible .Get it together. Funny when I did the waxing, a client in the chair kept shaking her head to not do it. I waited for another girl to do and she still shook her head now I know why! Read Less

Went in for a manicure will never go back. I had gel polish left on my nails which they had to remove. The guy there didn't leave the remover on long enough so he just used the nail file on my nails to remove the gel to the point where I had to tell him to stop because he just kept filing them down to almost nothing. Then the color I picked out was all dried up so I had to pick this color which I was a little upset about and then I wanted silver glitter which was dried up as well and they didn't have another silver glitter so I had to get gold which I hate. I've been going here for a very long time and every time the sweet Indian lady that works here doesn't do manicure I'm always disappointed!! She is so gentle and such a perfectionist! I'll never be back here. They gave me a guy who was clearly in training. I tried to be patient, but even after I complained to the management, they were reluctant to give me a skilled person. The women were rude and completely standoffish. They all but refused to service me. I recently came to Red Cherry nails and was absolutely appalled! I got a pedicure which was ok, nothing special. When it came time to take off my old gel polish for my manicure, the lady began to take out USED pieces of tin foil out or her apron to use on my nails to take off the gel! When I said something to her that I wanted fresh tin foil, her response was "it's only tin foil." And then began talking to the other employees in Chinese which I presume was about me! I stopped her right there and told her that I would not be getting my manicure there because I did not find it sanitary. I offered to pay for my pedicure since it was already done, the lady proceeded to tell me that I needed to pay $10 extra for gel removal! She only put nail polish remover on one freaking nail and wanted to charge me $10!! This place is super unsanitary and I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Read Less

The are very friendly....they don't rush to get you out the door...always offer you a bottle of water...discount if you pay cash and the paraffin hand wax is a great way to end your visit. I have been to the other places I'm stratford...one is over rated and claims to give you a 20 percent off discount but at the end of the discount it only equals what the service should be...other place peiple are rude and talk about you very obviously in their language and the other 2 places gave me an infection. This is the only place around that offers powder gel that I'm in love with! Every time I get my tips off, I immediately come here :) BUT their pedicures aren't the best only because I left with my feet still feeling super dry!! I went home and had to clip a bunch of my toenails as well, definitely didn't pay to get my toes done for me to have to fix them an hour later.. Still a good place for powder gel manicures! Very clean, quality work, and friendly staff. $6 for a standard color change, $10 for manicure, and it goes up from there. Their service is more contingent upon the types/quantity of services you get as a customer vs how much you're willing to tip, which is why I have them at 4 stars. I tipped a generous 4$ to my standard $6 color change (they make you pay before, and it's always an awkward dance if you tip before or after services rendered) and I got bare essentials regarding service. Most places when you color change will at least clean your nails and clip or file as necessary. (FYI: The difference between a manicure and color change is doing cuticle care.) aside from service they did a fantastic job and will most likely return again. Read Less

They sat me as if they were ready for me, however  I patiently waited thirty minutes in a chair with my nail polish ready. Then a young lady started my nails and stopped in the middle, abruptly, and started helping some one else without saying any at all  to me. Then a young man comes to finish, who was friendly however very inexperienced, and left my nails looking like I tried to do them myself, blindfolded. Nails are crooked, uneven, and one even zig-zags. This salon is great. I got my nails done there once and they looked beautiful, however they room a really long time so I never went back. But decided to check it out 3 years later after having a HORRIBLE experience else where and now I remembered how great, friendly and clean they were.
