Been going to DASH for about 9 months.  I was persuaded to get the CMD acrylic nails and Jenny did a good job.  They would always start to split in the corners by the time 1 week rolled around, but they never lifted and my nails were usually pretty even.  By the time 2 weeks came, there was normally good separation at the corners, but Jenny could get me in and out within 45 minutes.  Spa pedicures were nice, but quick.I decided that the maintenance was too much for my nails.  In the beginning, I was assured that the CMD product would NOT harm my nails and I just wanted everything off for a while.  I made an appt with Jenny to have the product removed and was really upset that when I arrived she had the day off and booked me with someone else.The other person was very nice (they are all nice in there) but man my nails are TRASHED.  I was charged an extra $3 for a certain color nail polish which started chipping the very next day. I'm not sure if my nails are splitting at the top layer (they're coming off!) or if it's the CMD product was not totally removed, but my nails are not going to look normal again until they completely grow out.The tools they use are NOT sterilized so be careful to bring your own.  Otherwise they will just wipe off the instruments with the towel they used on you and throw them back in the drawer. If you'd like to know how Dash truly is, please read. It's safe to say that many people blow up a place for a very small reason. I went to Dash today (3/11/2017) after seeing a friends nails and complimenting her. I've always been a fan of yelp because a lot of the time you can get a very good idea about a place. I'm also a firm believer in writing a review when my experience was great! Before going to Dash I did read the reviews, some I agreed with and others I just didn't. When I first walked in I was nicely greeted by the owner and asked a few questions regarding UV gel. I used to go to Coco Nails in Riverside and loved it, but felt their prices were WAY too high. They mentioned the UV full set was $60, you should know this is extremely reasonable for Stamford. My next question was do they charge extra for shellac polish? I find shellac gel is by far the best and lasts the longest. I also feel the shellac gel is much better for your nails. I was instructed to sit down and pick a color, Dash has TONS of great colors. They have numerous different brands of gel and probably 50 pallets to choose from. A nice, young guy named Jason sat down to do my nails. One of the reviews on yelp mentioned how amazing Jason was so I was quite pleased when he sat down. From the start of the process to the end he was fantastic. Since i didn't have the UV on my nails already, there was a bit more applied, but they still look SUPER natural. He was gentle, spoke very nicely and was absolutely meticulous. I'm quite the perfectionist so I loved how he made sure each nail was the same length (when comparing to my other hand) and he was sooo gentle. He was engaged in conversation but made sure to pay special attention to my nails. I picked this gorgeous emerald green sparkly color (everything is better with sparkles). In the past when I had UV on my nails I would go every three weeks. Each person is different, but unless there is something majorly wrong I think it's a bit overkill to go every two weeks. Beyond pleased with the experience!! Do yourself a favor and go see Jason! You won't be disappointed. As far as some of the other comments.....1. There was mention of the shop being dirty - NOT true. Dash is very large, tons of stations and I felt it was very clean. 2. There was mention of the employees speaking in their own language - Somewhat true. This happens everywhere. I'd be surprised if you were to come across a shop that didn't do that. The girls looking on were very sweet and paid me a few compliments. They even helped me pick out a color. 3. Great selection of colors, gel included. 4. Nice massage at the end. After your first visit, they give you a card which specifies your visits and entitles you to a free 10 minute massage after eight visits. I think this is great customer service. Read Less

Ive been here probably 8 times - the past 2 times I was pushed to try the UV gel on my nails which I dont like because the dryer usually gets too hot for me however I got it this time after my nail tech was persistent after I asked for acrylic 3 or 4 times.  I got the UV french gel on my nails and it came out HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! You can see where I needed a refill from before. I will only come back here for pedicures which are pretty good- $30 for a spa pedicure that includes 10 minute massage. Read Less

I recently moved to the Springdale area. My first time checking out a new nail salon. This salon was clean, but the nail technicians were very rude. I chose a color and they used two different colors making my nails not the color I selected. They spoke their language and didn't conversation with me at all. I'll never go back. Read Less

First time I went here...staff pleasant but not overly welcoming...my mani/pedi was well done and I was, in general, ok with this place...prices about average for this area...parking not a problem...my only other issue was that I was left at the "dry bar" with little indication as to how long they felt it should take...no auto shut off to indicate when done and nobody came around to ask...otherwise, ok... Terrible service. The lady took forever to do my Gel manicure and not only that, but she messed up multiple times and had to restart the manicure more than once. I was there for over 2 hours for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. After she was finally done, it wasn't done well and not only that but the next day my GEL manicure was chipping and cracking. Terrible product and terrible service. My friend got a regular pedicure as well and a refill for her tips, not only did they mess up her shape and did a complete opposite of what she wanted but her manicure didn't come out good as well. This salon is awful. The tools are not sterilized, the nail brushes are frayed, old and dirty and the gel products are thick and gloppy. Lisa did my nails and this is the worst french gel job I've ever had. She didn't cover my nails completely, they are completely uneven...thick in some places and thin in others. There are bubbles in the top gel coat.  The area near my cuticles are crusty and powdery. They are already chipping, which has never happened to me in the 10 years I've been getting gels.  I wouldn't even go back to have them redone there.  I feel lucky I didn't get an infection. The manicurist at the salon I went to to have them redone said it was one of the most unprofessional jobs she'd ever seen. Read Less

The lady that owned Reflections Salon in downtown Stamford opened this place up and she is so nice and good at what she does. I would definitely recommend this place. They know you by name and are very nice and polite. The salon is clean and they do a great job with manicures, pedicures, and gel manicures, i've tried them all! I am shocked by all of the negative reviews here - I love Dash. They have great prices,  knew me by name  after just two visits and are always very welcoming. Not to mention, my eyebrows have never looked so good...like, ever. Since I started getting my eyebrows done at Dash I frequently get compliments from friends, strangers, even my CEO commented on them. (a little strange - but when you find a good eyebrow shaper you stay loyal to them!) Anyways, this is not a flashy salon, but you will get a good mani pedi at a great price with friendly service. For $35 I got a spa pedicure that included a ten minute leg massage and callus remover. The girls talked to each other in a language other than English the entire time but that is to be expected at many places I suppose. It was a decent pedicure, clean, and no complaints so I would go back but I wouldn't go out of my way to make this place a destination for a particularly outstanding pedicure. Read Less

Oh darn. Filled with optimistism upon seeing the Grand Opening sign. Courteous enough greeter/owner. Unsterilzed clippers. Nail files that look like they've been used on 50 people. Frowning manicurist who left a piece of dirt on the edge of a nail and could not file it smooth and straight after the requested dirt removal without involvement by the owner. Even after 30% tip. Then, aha, suddenly seemed to know how to check for straightness and smoothness. But streaky job. Hate to say it, but my nails almost looked better before I entered. They were not streaky. A friendly woman at the nail dryer bar said this was her third visit. For the same manicure!!!Been trying lots of nail salons in the area. Some passable, all disappointing so far.
