I moved to Stamford from West Hartford earlier this year and finding a new nail place was on the top of my list of things to do. I tried many nail salons before coming across Cache. It's clean (very important to me), quiet, the manicurists take their time, and I always leave with satisfied with the job that has been done on my nails/toes. I am now a regular and the manager, Sami, greets me by name and when the owner is around he always ask if there is anything he can get me (coffee, water, etc.), which I think is a nice touch. ATTENTION OWNER!!I am writing this review one hour after having a gel manicure done here and, quite frankly, I couldn't wait to get home to do so. I am absolutely appalled by the treatment I received. I have been here before and while the location is nice, the manicures are sub par at best. A regular manicure has lasted me a total of 24 hours without chipping. The gel manicures are fine, but do noticeably last much less time than other salons in Stamford. Not sure why. What I do like about the salon is that it is always empty (I guess now I know why). I do like being able to sit in peace and quiet while getting my nails done. The specific reason I decided to stop in for a gel manicure was because I received an email promoting "customer appreciation night", which was described to be drinks, food and free chair massages. I sat down for my gel manicure and as they got started I asked "is the customer appreciation night over?" While looking at the three bottles of wine sitting on the drying table. The girl doing my nails didn't say a word. Then the girl from the front desk came over and asked if I wanted "munchies". I said no, but am I "allowed" a glass of wine? She then replied with "pinot or chardonnay?". I asked for pinot and eventually she came over and placed a plastic cup with a splash (I'm talking one shot worth) of white wine. I got the feeling as though I was being a bother. A few minutes later a woman walked in. She was greeted with a completely different attitude than I was. Right away she was offered white wine, red wine or Rose. She chose Rose (mind you, I was not offered anything let alone Rose). Two minutes into her manicure, the girl that was sitting at the station doing nothing the whole time I was getting my nails done got up and said to the woman "complimentary chair massage?". I could have cried right there I was so upset. The girl then proceeded to give the woman a massage the WHOLE TIME until I left (literally at least fifteen minutes). When I entered and requested a french pedicure and color gel mani I was optimistic because the place is beautiful. That optimism quickly changed...long story short. If FOUR people service you and an hour later you still walk out with NO polish on your feet or hands...there's an issue. I felt like I was in a beauty school and they were all practicing on me. I've been searching for a good nail salon and been to quite a few bad apples but this place is great.  It's brand new and very clean.  The nail technicians are very careful and do a great job! I wish I could go back tomorrow!Be aware that it can be difficult to find but we'll worth the hunt. Read Less
