Terrible place. I decided to go here since it was right next to Walmart and my favorite sushi place. When I went in the host was on her cell phone, told her I needed to get my eyebrows done and without looking up from her phone she just pointed behind her and said have a seat over there. I looked at her dumb founded and said "I'm sorry, I have never been here before where am I supposed to go?" She then gave me an attitude for having to get off her phone and show me where she was pointing to. The chair itself was actually disgusting, I had to ask the women to wipe it off.... who also had an attitude. The actual process of getting my eyebrows done was just as terrible as the customer service. The women was not gentle at all, even leaned against my face with her arm and didn't even listen to how I wanted my eyebrows done. Needless to say they don't even deserve 1 star. Read Less

Moved from Fairfield county last Sept. I tried a few places before I landed and stuck with Star Nails. I always get a color gel manicure and it lasts the full 2 weeks without chipping, which is why i don't stray. They have a ton of colors and a pretty big staff so even if there's a wait you don't wait long. Lisa is my favorite. She's efficient and fast. Read Less

My friend and I came in here- i got a full set, and my friend got a fill. They charged me $40 for a full set and my friend was charged $38 for her fill.  My nails were all inconsistent with length and shape. This was my 3rd and last visit in the last year. I do not like how they keep trying to coerce you into getting a gel manicure. Stop asking me 3 times. After prepping my nails last night, the manicurist rubbed some cream into my hands then hand me wash them. Also she barely filed my nails. Then after I nicked my one nail she tried to just put top coat over it rather than fix it. Polish was chipped off! When she took off the polish she did not bother with a base coat and in the end the nail was still not put on smoothly so it has a ridge on it. Read Less

I have never had a bad experience at Star Nails. I would never go anywhere else. Tu always comes through for me. I send her a picture of what I want and she does it perfectly. Went for a pedicure, she through goup into the bowl, so I was like this should be interesting, she rushed me less than a 30 sec massage no scrubs no nothing it was not enjoyable and her and another lady were Racing to finish first and she screamed when she was done (like she won)....legit my pedicure was like 15 min long not enjoyable and the place was disgustingly dirty.Couldnt wait to leave, and never coming back Read Less

I've been here a few times, the first I got just a regular nail polish. the polish lasted a long time. the second I got acrylics & gel for prom. the man that did my nails was very nice, and made conversation throughout. the only thing I didn't like was that he kept pushing me to change what I wanted. he asked multiple times if I wanted a design, a different shape, or color. But overall, he was nice. In total, my nails ended up costing $45. which is quite expensive in my opinion.however, you get what you pay for in my situation. my acrylics never fell off for any reason, and never chipped. I went back for a filling since my nails were growing and it ended up being $35. the service is good, but the pricesare expensive, especially if a filling is $35 when a whole mani with acrylics and gel is $45...would recommend. I felt awkward because the person doing my nails looked like she wanted to be doing anything other than my nails. She kept looking around and looking at the clock. I was supposed to get a pedi as well but I was so uncomfortable that I just paid for the mani and left. Read Less

Everyone is so nice, and they always do such a wonderful job! I've tried so many other places in the area and they kept breaking within the first week. I can literally go 4 weeks if i have to (though they do get pretty long) and they don't break or crumble!! LOVE! Read Less

I went here today my first time here for a manicure and it literally was so rushed, she barely did anything to my nails and she barely gave me a massage on my hands, they don't use hot towels or anything on your hands. .I waited 35 minutes just to get in for the manicure and then it was rushed and I'm not one to usually complain. Not a good place at all. Went once on the advice of a family friend. Upgraded to a "spa" pedicure, what a joke. Was a total waste of the extra $10. The only thing that I liked was the design they did on my big toe, for and extra $5. Other then that they were nothing special. Maybe it's worth the regular cheap pedi but the special spa one was barely anything extra, it was a joke. Didn't really like the place or get a welcome feeling from the staff either. Pedicure: $25Callus Removal: $5Neosporin needed for cut toe: $7I always expect getting my nails done in a salon to be at least somewhat unsanitary--even in the best salons. I normally go to Lux, but I stopped here today for a pedicure because, why not? Within five minutes, the technician badly cut my toe and it was bleeding for the next 40 minutes. Ok, it happens, but what I really did NOT like, was having my bleeding toe constantly put back into the germ-y lukewarm water for extended periods of time. Gross! Gross for me with an open wound that could very easily get infected from that tub/water, and gross for the people who had their pedicures done in that seat after me!What really got me was that when she was actually painting my nails, she pressed the underside of her own long, uncovered thumbnail against the open cut. Germs/bacteria thrive under fingernails, so that was really not a great idea.To top it off, the technician kept trying to insist that I get my brows waxed even after I said no the first time (Mildly insulting -- I like my brows the way they are!). And, at the end, she was talking to the technician doing a pedicure next to her and they were pointing at me and making faces. Even if what they were saying 100% had nothing to do with me (which I doubt), common sense would say that an action like that would make a person uncomfortable. I've tried this place twice, and that'll be it.  First, I came for a regular manicure, and to get the shellac taken off my nails from a previous shellac manicure.  The nail technician told me it would be five extra bucks to do that. I thought whatever, I'm already here. She totally rushed the whole thing, there was shellac still on my nails that I had to ask her to take off.  She didn't give me any kind of hand massage, and put on the nail polish so fast, that after it dried, I had to walk back and ask her to clean around the cuticles.  She had another appointment waiting (even though I called a few days ahead and scheduled an appointment...and showed up on time), and clearly was just hurrying up to get to them.The second experience was slightly better.  I needed a pedicure, and upgraded to the "spa" pedicure for $35 (the regular is $25), basically just because there was supposed to be a longer massage (which is 75% of the reason I get pedicures).  The buffing and extra clay masque was good, but the massage was weak, and again I had to have the guy clean up the nail polish that had spilled on to my cuticles.This place is always busy...and I am confused as to why.
