Wish I could leave a zero star review! My regular nail salon closed, so I have been using Sister's nail salon for about a month and a half. For my last manicure I asked for "ombre" which they said they knew how to do. First off, the man doing the set of nails had no idea what he was doing, and kept having a side conversation with the woman sitting next to him, which was not in english, which made me very uncomfortable. Second, the acrylic that he put on my nails was so thick and he did not file it down. I left the salon feeling very unhappy. I went to the salon again to get them fixed, since after a day the gel top coat had already peeled off and the nails themselves were just too thick to function with. I asked if i could get them field down, and i had to wait almost an hour to just get them filed even though there were workers sitting watching netflix on their phones while i waited! Again, the side conversations continued and finally when they had me sit down to fix them the man (who i had the first time) gave me such a hard time and was literally arguing with me over how i wanted them filed. LONG STORY SHORT i left the salon for the second time even more angry and unhappy with the horrible and rude customer service and my disgusting set of nails! I ended up going to Star nails instead right after i left, where the woman kindly fixed my nails and made them look amazing for half the price. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to star nails! would not return. skin is in worse shape then it was before. 7 fingers bled from improper buffing/filing. unprofessional service. no hand massage, lotion just slapped on. Most of the staff seemed friendly; however, I received a negative shift in attitude as soon as I offered feedback on the type of "tip" I wanted on my French manicure. I come get a pedicure every 3-4 weeks...that's how long the nail polish lasts. I can't go anywhere else without having my toes chip in about two days. I would say they are a tiny bit more expensive than normal but they're super clean, friendly and provide a great service. Have not had a negative experience yet, been a customer since April. I got a gel manicure on the 4th for my sister's bday. By the 16th 2 nails had peeled off. Within one week, they are all peeling. My sister's manicurist gave her attitude because she couldn't find a toe polish to match her gel nails. Average place, went there on my birthday with my sisters and probably won't return.  The lady I had for mani and pedi was annoyed that I couldn't decide on a color. I didn't know if you want a gel manicure the toe color will not match, unless you do a gel pedicure as well! However, the men that work there were very pleasant. I came to get a pedicure on my break. I received a giftcard so I thought I would stop in and finally use it. As soon as I got there, atmosphere was amazing. It was so bright and clean. Staff was so friendl. My pedicure was amazing and still made it to work in time! Love the massages !! Definitely will be back for another one and even considering getting my nails done next time too. I know it was nice out but maybe I would just leave front doors closed because I'd be afraid of bugs going inside. Read Less

I had a mani/pedi here, and I agree with Marleena...the massages are amazing!!  After a few mins getting the best shoulder rub ever while my nails were being done, they ask if you want 10 mins.....meaning do you want to pay for 10 more mins of massage.  The rate was very reasonable, and they bust out the timer...SO worth it! Best nail place EVER! I love the service. I never had to wait and they do SUCH a good job. I always opt for one of their spa pedicures...usually the one that allows for a 30 minute leg and foot massage! Pricey but WORTH it! They do not jip you either because they have a timer and you get 15 minutes on each leg and foot. HEAVEN! The chairs massage you also and they offer you little waters while you relax. I had one manicure here also and they massaged my shoulders while I had this done and it wasn't just a short rinky dink massage...they put time and effort into it. And if you don't get a manicure they still massage while your pigs are drying!! They offer a card that they stamp each time you visit that you can use for a free service once it is filled. just got a gel manicure there and was treated very rudely. A young man started working on my nails, 2 women walked in for a pedicure & he just walked away & started working on them. I sat there for 15 minutes with the foil on my fingers to get the old gel off. I finally asked the worker next to me if I'd been forgotten about, because I have an appt in 1/2 hr. He said not to worry, well let me tell you, I was late. This was suppose to be a relaxing not stressful experience & it certainly wasn't!!!! Rude in Southington!!!! Read Less
