There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon which was great but after the service I see why. I agree that very little was done in terms of my pedicure and for the price it was not acceptable. I'm sure their prices have to do with their cost due to lack of business. They also really didn't use much pressure on the massage as well and I really was looking forward to a nice massage. RUN from this place....as fast as you can! I went in here for a pedicure which was priced at $31. I sat in the chair and the girl working on my pedicure took my nail polish off and filed my toenails. There was no pushing back of cuticles, cuticle cutting, buffing, or even trimming!! After this, she came out with hot stones and rubbed my legs for a few minutes. As I looked down, I noticed that she didn't even get all of the nail polish off of my toes that I had on when I came into the salon. After she finished with the massage part of the pedicure, she was ready to paint my nails. At this point, I had to stop her and say that I have never had such an awful pedicure and that I was leaving. I explained that she didn't even trim or work on my cuticles at all. She told me that cutting cuticles was too dangerous. I told her that I refused to pay $31 for her to remove nail polish and rub my legs for 2 minutes. At this time, another employee came over and I told her the same thing. She said that she would work on my cuticles and finish things up. I was the only person in this salon....and now I know why. I will not be back and I don't recommend this place at all. $31 my ass! Read Less

This is a very clean shop with friendly efficient service. They are excellent for eyebrow waxing and UV gel manicures in particular. There are a couple of downsides however. There are times that I have popped in to get my eyebrows done and been told that the wait is half an hour. This despite the shop appearing to be relatively empty. The other downside for me is just a personal pet peeve of mine and that is being touched too gently. All of the employees use feather light touches to do everything including pedicures. That is a personal preference however. Overall, a reasonably priced salon with friendly, professional, highly skilled staff. Read Less

Moon Nails was a decent place to get nails done. All of the employees were very nice  and the ambiance and decor were pleasant. Based on it's location to my work, it was a great option for me. I'm only writing this in the past tense as I think they must have closed. The last three times I have tried to go, it has been closed despite being within the hours they have posted on the door. There has been no note or anything left to explain why they aren't open. So, either this place is closed OR if it's not, you'll have to take your chances that they will actually be open... I faithfully went to Moon Nails ever since they opened up. I always call ahead to make an appointment and noticed that every time I went in on my exact time, they'd take a walk-in customer BEFORE me!! I had it with this place. I used to receive a back massage as well while I was being worked on. I tipped well and also am one of the few who have boxes with my personal nail files in it. They even use to give me discounts in the beginning when you purchased a special card, but not any more. They used to be opened 7 days a week, but not anymore. I noticed that they weren't washing their hands after doing pedicures and then coming over to me to do a manicure. I had to ask them to wash their hands. Someone must of complained to the Health Dept. because now I notice that they're washing their hands after doing mani's and pedi's. This should be standard proceedures. I'm going to try a new place where I hear it's really clean and their tools are properly sterlized and sealed. Never going back to Moon Nails! They should treat their loyal, long time faithful customers better...cause now we're taking our business elsewhere! Hopefully, they'll read these reviews. I went to this salon for the 1st time on Sunday, December 23rd. They were open special hours for the holiday & pretty busy. The staff was amazingly kind, free back massage, and my nails came out absolutely gorgeous. My only (minor, silly) "complaint" is that the nails take a long time... but I guess that is what we sacrifice for beauty! :) Two Thumbs UP! Read Less
