If I could have given them a 0 rating I would have. I only went there as they were ope 7 days a week, and were right next to a great tanning salon (Tommy's Tanning). I have had nails my entire life, but had gone without for nearly 4 months, just as a break. Upon entering, I was surprised to see nearly every seat was taken, and all employees were working, yet no one spoke to their clients. It was weird. I assumed give how busy they were, that they must be good
HELL NO, WAS I WRONG!! I got a full set of nails, and I asked them to be "on the short side." He put the fake nail on prior to the gel, look at me, and ask me if it was long enough. EACH TIME, I ASKED HIM TO MAKE THEM SHORTER.. Eventually I realized, this asshat did not speak English, and if he did, he was not listening to me. He made my set of nails, so thick and long, I could help them work on I-84 construction in Waterbury digging up holes. They were so long and so far, they literally FELL THE HELL OFF 5 days later!! I paid $60 for the worse set of nails EVER, (I also thought it was odd that when it came time to pay, as I had my daughter with me, that he suddenly had a much better understanding of the English language. I WOULD RSTHER HAVE BAMBOO SHOOTS SHOVED UNDER MY FINGER NAILS THEN RETURN TO THAT MESSED UP PLACE. I should have taken the advise someone at the tanning salon had given me when I had asked about Lux nails, they told me to avoid it all all cost. and I should have. GOD, I HOPE THE NEXT PERSON WHO IS IN NEED OF A FULL SET OF NAILS, NOT EVER GIVE THESE JERKS....

Went here for years and never had a problem until recently. I got a gel manicure and within 2 days my nails chipped. Went back to Lux and they fixed it. Then another 2 days later my nails chipped AGAIN. I paid for a gel manicure to last weeks not less than a week. I asked if I could change the color considering this color/application was not staying on my nails and they said I had to pay for a new color. Coming in twice within 6 days is uncalled for and the fact that they refused to keep a customer happy is ridiculous. Never coming here again!

Not a great experience. Woman who did my pedicure cut my foot, and had a difficult time painting my toes neatly. Not sure if she was sick or under the influence, but she was definitely off. I paid for more than just the basic pedicure, but don’t feel as though my experience was what I paid for.

Lux is an okay nail salon when it comes to the actual service.I have found that my polish doesn't chip as fast as other salons, and if you ask for quick dry applied they do it charge you for it.Also, it appears to be a fairly clean salon.This is all great if you can actually get in there. I never think to make an appointment but I also do not attempt to go on busy times. I have been turned away a few times. They also do not take tips on credit cards, which is inconvenient.Not the best in town.

Over the years, I have been to this place several times and I have never really had a good experience. Recently, I thought, maybe things changed. So I started trying them again. Without getting into too much detail, I will just say that the wife's owner is a snotty bitch. When the workers where cleaning up at the end of the day, she just stood there at the register and watched and didn't help. She parked off orders and when I asked who she was, I said, "She is rude, isn't she?" the staff just agreed with me. Several times while going here, she was snippy and condescending. I will never go back to a place where the owners don't make their guests feel welcomed or can't understand what is being asked. There is a nail salon in every freaking strip mall. Don't waste your time going here when there are so many other better places to experience!!

Without getting into too much detail, I will just say that the wife's owner is a snotty bitch. When the workers where cleaning up at the end of the day, she just stood there at the register and watched and didn't help. She barked off orders and when I asked who she was, I said, "She is rude, isn't she?" the staff looked down and just nodded, yes.Several times while going here, she was snippy and condescending. I will never go back to a place where the owners don't make their guests feel welcomed or can't understand what is being asked. There is a nail salon in every freaking strip mall. Don't waste your time going here when there are so many other better places to experience!!

Came here a month ago for a full set. The woman working there lingered as I chose a gel color, which she said would only be $10 extra but somehow ended up being more. From the beginning I explained to her that I wanted short round nails. She kind of ignored me, saying that she would be doing more filing later...she started making them square so I again told her round. She scoffed at me, saying she would have done a different length had she known I wanted round. The gel nails lasted so well that I decided to give them another shot, and I went back last week. I showed up early and told them I would need a fill, and that I only wanted regular polish. She told me it would be $22. I was very specific about the shape I wanted. I described it and also showed a picture. She filed the sides of my nails so much that they became thin and looked awful, so I had to ask her to apply more of the acrylic gel to recreate the nail she had just destroyed. The shape looks NOTHING like what I asked and THEN I was charged more...Not only did they mess up my nails, but they charged me a different price both times. I wont come here again and I will never recommend it.

I have been to this place once before and was not impresse but I decided to give it another try and will never go back. I was getting a pedicure and realized that 3 of the 4 staff members who were giving pedicures were looking at me and speaking in another language which made the other ladies look at me too. I felt very uncomfortable. Then I was moved to the manicure table and while waiting I looked at my toes to see that the nail polish was clumpy and stuck to my skin. I then decided to just pay for the pedicure that I could have done better and not give them any more business. Did not care for thisnplace

after a long and miserable week.. i just wanted to relax and pamper myself. as luck would have it my usual salon was busy and i didn't feel like waiting any longer so decided to give this place a try. they were busy as well but fit me in fairly quickly. i have to say, i was very impressed with the service i received, so here i am. the technician i had gave me a head and shoulder massage as i was drying. let me tell you .. my horrible week was gone jjust like that!!! you'll definitely be seeing me again!

This place looks very pretty, but don't let that fool you. I went here for the first time with my boyfriend because I had begged for him to experience a pedicure with me. I got the Basic pedicure, he got the next one up that had the wax. Since I had recently gotten a pedicure before, I stuck with the basic because all I really needed was a paint job. They painted my toes fine. But after 2 days I noticed that the bottom of my feet were really rough. A week later, they're extremely unsmooth to the point where if i rub my foot against a bed sheet, I can feel little pieces of torn skin hitcing onto the sheet. The service there was nice. But paying a total of $65 between 2 people, I expect better. Go to Sister Nails instead.

i've been to this place 3 times for pedicures. The salon is very clean and nicely designed, however the first time I went a guy did my pedi I was done in 20min. and the polish looked horrible, the second time was much better, the third time which was today I got the reflexology pedi and guy did my pedi again, he kept getting up to answer his phone, he would stop to talk as he was doing the massage and his family came into the salon so he was talking to them too......very unprofessional. I will not be going back there

I got married in May and wanted my nails to look really nice. After visiting several nail salons, we decided to go to Lux Nails because they were able to accommodate three people at the same time and the place didn't have an overwhelming smell. I went with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and we got manicures and pedicures done. The girls were extremely friendly, especially the owner, and gave us a really good experience. It was my first time getting either a manicure or pedicure and I had such a blast! I will definitely return to Lux Nails in Southington and will recommend them to everyone I know.

I checked out a couple of other nail places here in town but wasn't very impressed so I decided to give this place a try. it was nice to finally walk into a nail shop and not pass out from the smell. this place is very big with lots of chairs. they offer a lot of different types of pedicures. i went with the lux which came with a glass of wine and a free manicure. i haven't felt so relaxed in a long time.. and the massage was to die for!!! i'm very pleased to have found my new nail place!!

The woman was Short with words, could not answer my questions, Like experience, how long will it take.when I said I just want to what the procedures where she quickly said "Ya OK" I do it 30years! I made my appointment after hanging up feeling like I owed her a favor I called back and cancelled. Pleasant customer is one language! Too many spas on this strip for a new place to act like that.

needed to get my hands and toes down for easter so i decided to try it out. the place is very modern with beautiful decor, very zen like. the girls were very friendly and actually knew how to speak english!! they gave me a bag with my own tools a veryy big plus to me. they also put some wax on my heels which i've never had before and it felt great!! i even got a free shoulder massage while i was drying my nails. hands down the BEST pedicure i've ever had!! i'll definitely be back !!

after a long and miserable week.. i just wanted to relax and pamper myself. as luck would have it my usual salon was busy and i didn't feel like waiting any longer so decided to give this place a try...
after a long and miserable week.. i just wanted to relax and pamper myself. as luck would have it my usual salon was busy and i didn't feel like waiting any longer so decided to give this place a try. they were busy as well but fit me in fairly quickly. i have to say, i was very impressed with the service i received, so here i am. the technician i had gave me a head and shoulder massage as i was drying. let me tell you .. my horrible week was gone jjust like that!!! you'll definitely be seeing me again!

This place looks very pretty, but don't let that fool you. I went here for the first time with my boyfriend because I had begged for him to experience a pedicure with me. I got the Basic pedicure, he got the next one up that had the wax. Since I had recently gotten a pedicure before, I stuck with the basic because all I really needed was a paint job. They painted my toes fine. But after 2 days I noticed that the bottom of my feet were really rough. A week later, they're extremely unsmooth to the point where if i rub my foot against a bed sheet, I can feel little pieces of torn skin hitcing onto the sheet. The service there was nice. But paying a total of $65 between 2 people, I expect better. Go to Sister Nails instead.

i've been to this place 3 times for pedicures. The salon is very clean and nicely designed, however the first time I went a guy did my pedi I was done in 20min. and the polish looked horrible, the second time was much better, the third time which was today I got the reflexology pedi and guy did my pedi again, he kept getting up to answer his phone, he would stop to talk as he was doing the massage and his family came into the salon so he was talking to them too......very unprofessional. I will not be going back there

I got married in May and wanted my nails to look really nice. After visiting several nail salons, we decided to go to Lux Nails because they were able to accommodate three people at the same time and the place didn't have an overwhelming smell. I went with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and we got manicures and pedicures done. The girls were extremely friendly, especially the owner, and gave us a really good experience. It was my first time getting either a manicure or pedicure and I had such a blast! I will definitely return to Lux Nails in Southington and will recommend them to everyone I know.

I do not recommend getting the brazilian wax. The technician did a horrible job on me and I ended up with blisters the very next day.

I checked out a couple of other nail places here in town but wasn't very impressed so I decided to give this place a try. it was nice to finally walk into a nail shop and not pass out from the smell....
I checked out a couple of other nail places here in town but wasn't very impressed so I decided to give this place a try. it was nice to finally walk into a nail shop and not pass out from the smell. this place is very big with lots of chairs. they offer a lot of different types of pedicures. i went with the lux which came with a glass of wine and a free manicure. i haven't felt so relaxed in a long time.. and the massage was to die for!!! i'm very pleased to have found my new nail place!!

THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE SERVICE WAS AWSOME!! I HAD THE BEST PEDICURE I HAVE EVER HAD...I USED TO GO TO ANOTHER SALON AND TRIED THIS ONE BECAUSE IT WAS CLOSE TO WHERE I WORK AND I WILL NEVER...

I'LL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

Went for an pedi 2 weeks ago, clean nice but no extra effort. called today for the facial $300 deal! The woman was Short with words, could not answer my questions, Like experience, how long will it take.when I said I just want to what the procedures where she quickly said "Ya OK" I do it 30years! I made my appointment after hanging up feeling like I owed her a favor I called back and cancelled. Pleasant customer is one language! Too many spas on this strip for a new place to act like that.

needed to get my hands and toes down for easter so i decided to try it out. the place is very modern with beautiful decor, very zen like. the girls were very friendly and actually knew how to speak english!! they gave me a bag with my own tools a veryy big plus to me. they also put some wax on my heels which i've never had before and it felt great!! i even got a free shoulder massage while i was drying my nails. hands down the BEST pedicure i've ever had!! i'll definitely be back !!

DON'T EVER GO THERE! I HAVE MY NAILS DONE ONCE A WEEK TO ONCE EVERY TWO WEEKS - SO ALL SHE HAD TO DO WAS FOLLOW WHAT WAS ALREADY THERE - AND PRETTY WELL MAINTAINED - AND SHE RUINED THEM! A FIVE YEA...
