Unfortunately, today I had a deeply disappointing experience at Twinkle. I have been going there for about 3 years & recently returned a month ago after several surgeries. At that time, I was warmly welcomed by Ellen, an owner,& was so happy to be back. I called ahead this week for a mani-pedi appt., then needed to change my appt. & was told I would be called back to reschedule. I was not, so I called them back after several hours. No big deal, since I thought they must be busy. Upon arrival the day before Easter, no one greeted me, which was most unusual as it is their lovely custom to do so. I picked my colors out & sat for about 10 minutes. Again, no big deal, since I have had most positive experiences there in the past & I get it's holiday busy. Because all the pedicure chairs were occupied, I sat & wondered why did I even bother to call ahead two days ago when no one even recognized my arrival ??? Ellen started my manicure, which I really appreciated, but we were interrupted several times & then I was suddenly moved to a pedicure chair only to sit with sticky hot plastic gloves on my hands, with no explanation as to who was going to complete my manicure through out a totally rushed unrelaxing pedicure. I am sorry to say my manicure was finished hurriedly thereafter without care to detail, & I returned home only to file rough nail edges & clean up unattended cuticles.I feel bad to report this because Twinkle is a wonderful salon with hardworking employees but is this the way you treat someone who has been a past regular client?
