I went to Blue Lotus because it was near the area I lived in, and looked fairly nice and high class. The prices where expensive for the treatment i received this time around. When we got inside the ladies took our jackets.I was a uncomfortable because the second i started to take off my jacket they started to laugh . As for the nails them selfs they where ok, the lady who did our nails seemed to be rushed for some reason. before writing my review i looked at some of the other people comments and i saw that they felt the same way as well. My sister an I wanted the same color but to make the process faster the lady asked if she wanted a color that was similar, we explained that we would like the same color. overall I've have had good experiences at this nail salon and some bad you have to go on the right day where the good manager is there and the better ladies as well. I go every 2-3 weeks for a gel manicure and every 5-6 weeks for a pedicure. Over the last 4 years , I have noticed a decline in professionalism. The work is still good, but if I pay 65$ for a pedicure I want to soak in the crystal gel for more than 3 minutes. The technicians sit around and text and laugh, but will rarely interact with the customer.The massages are excellent and I highly recommend.I will continue going there, but I hope they read their reviews and start changing attitudes. I have actually never left a negative review before. But after my experience with Nina, I felt it was necessary. First off, this place charges 38 for a gel manicure- which is considerably high when there is no massage or wax and the gel manicure I received was by far the worst manicure I have ever received. I am comparing this to about 5 other places that I have been to. It was uncomfortable from the beginning when Nina was frustrated that she could not get my gel polish off stating it was a “bad polish.” She did not ask if I even liked my color before quickly moving onto my next nail. When I asked if I could change the color- after all I am paying 40 dollars for a manicure, she got extremely rude with me. She asked me what I wanted and I told her a pale white. She quickly rushed through my nails and I kid you not- the manicure was done in less than 10 minutes. I left with a thick, uneven coat of white out. It was so bad that I went to my usual salon so they could fix it that night. They even said it was a rushed job. Overall- it was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Not only was Nina’s rudeness uncomfortable, but I ended up with an awful rushed manicure that was so bad I changed it that night. For 40 dollars and no massage , wax , etc- not worth it at all. Then she hands me a paper and without telling me anything about it, says fill this out. It’s a paper asking for all my information. I said no thank you. I went with my friend to get our nails done. My friend wanted to change the color after only painting one nail.  The technician started slamming tools around and huffing and puffing. Super expensive, for no reason. The technicians always seem rushed, but the place isn't even busy. The woman that did my nails, didn't even bother to make conversation with me. Visited blue lotus while I waited for my vehicle to get serviced and can honestly say I was surprised at the excellent service I received. I opted for the chocolate spa pedicure, and received a manicure 50% off. Along w my service came a glass of wine, complimentary back massage (excellent!!), hands and feet dipped in skin softening paraffin, and callous removal for my feet. The massages provided by Tony were definitely the best I've received in the area. They reserved the foot massage for the end of my treatment. During the foot massage the room light was dimmed, music was relaxing, comfortable warm throw was provided, as tony worked his magic, including hot stone for my feet. I came here one other time for a gel full set and it looked way better than when I went to Sophea’s in downtown. My latest visit (last Friday) I showed up at around 5:30pm for a pedicure and regular gel manicure. I was told I couldn’t get the ten minute massage that comes with the pedicure because they’ll be closing at 7 ...... today is Wednesday and my gel manicure is chipped and lifting already. Even at the cheap-y places I’ve gone to they’ve lasted way longer than 5 days. Not worth the $90 mani pedi. Pretty bummed. Read Less

Blue Lotus is awesome and I could not recommend them more.  I'm very active and my hands are always in water for my job.  I also like my nails on the longer side and strong.  I get gel polish and gel nails by Eva and my nails always look fabulous, thanks to her.  Blue Lotus and Eva are also wonderful with nail art.  Everyone at Blue Lotus does a great job and are all proficient with their work; however, I have to highlight Eva for always doing such beautiful work no matter how complicated a design or picture I bring in.  The spa is immaculately clean (disposable liners in the pedicure tubs, cleaned after each client), organized and relaxing.  Their massages are also great too.  Pricing tends to be on the higher end, but as the old adage goes, "you get what you pay for."  You'll love your nails at Blue Lotus! Went in on a Saturday not too busy. I've seen it busier. Gel manicure was a rush job. Noticed when I got home it was full of streaks. First time at Blue Lotus and it is very clean and has a very pretty, tranquil ambiance. That was the only thing that was positive. The technician was very unfriendly as I tried to make small talk, getting no response from him. His paint job on my toes was messy. He also was disturbed at the fact that I wanted to change my gel nail color as he huffed when he went to get it. First time - last time. Spa pedicure & fill. My finger nails are a mess. They look like they were done by a child. The person who did my fill was rude and rushed so the gel didn't even have time to set. It has bubbled up and my entire fill has to be redone! The pedicure wasn't much better. My bridesmaids and I came here for mani/pedi's before my wedding. There were 5 of us so we expected to be there for a couple of hours. Everyone was extremely friendly and immediately showed us to our chairs. They were able to accommodate all of us and get all of our pedicures done and then moved on to manicures. They did a great job on everyone and we were out of there in an hour and a half. We all mentioned that we wished we lived closer so we could go there all the time. The atmosphere is nice. The salon is beautiful inside but you don't come to a salon because it's pretty. I've never been so ill-received and rushed. I have been going to Blue Lotus for three years now! My boyfriends mother got me a gift certificate and I thought "Well I'll try it..." Who would have thought that I would be in love wuth the place! Melissa has made me feel so welcomed since day one!!! They greet you by name when you walk in, take your coat and even phone to accomadate you. Offer you wine or tea or whatever it is that you choose. The pedicures are a bit more than most spas but so worth it. the scrubs are awsome and the chair massages are HEAVENLY!!!! I've been going to Blue Lotus Nail Spa for over 3 years and have NEVER been disappointed. I go every 2 1/2 - 3 weeks for my color gel manicure and it doesn't matter who does my nails, they are always meticulous and take their time. I never feel rushed, even if I'm there til after they close and are getting ready to leave. Their complimentary massages are great, but I usually get a 10-15 minute chair massage just to prolong my relaxation. I thoroughly enjoy their Silky Milky pedicure that comes with a 15 minute foot & leg hot stone massage in a dark, candlelit private room underneath a cozy blanket. I have brought more clients with me that still go there and love it as well. Many a Sunday morning I have spent with friends getting a pedicure while sipping a mimosa, or having a glass of cold, crisp white wine while have my color gel manicure done after a long day at work.
