Have been going here for four years and it is the best nail salon I've been to.  Professional, clean and very relaxing setting.  Maggie, Dinh and their staff know their business and go out of their way to make you welcome. I used to live close by and went to other salons . I went to ones who were good too .This is my happy place of all . The owners are so nice and make it to remember your name as well as where you live. That is a huge plus for me . The Staff is friendly as well talented ! They go out of their way to make sure your happy . The salon is clean and they updated pedicures chairs since I was last there . Which been close to a few year's. I stopped in to get a shellac manicure as well as a eyebrows waxed . The young sweet girl was so sweet and detailed as well with both services. I was very happy with my service. I have been coming here for my gel nails for around a year and a half.  I'm getting worried.  All the original girls are gone. They have 2 salt water fish tanks, one is now empty and filthy and the other one is getting dirty like that scene in Nemo.  I like it here because my nails come out great and I don't want 'fancy' service, like an arm/hand massage, a glass of something....  just do my nails and I'll be on my way.  There were only 3 girls working when I went last and the same number of clients when it used to be very busy this time of year with mani-pedi's. Fashion Nails consistently does a great job on my nails and toes. Maggie & her husband, the owners, are so friendly and welcoming. They are affordable - with gel manicures being only $25, compared to $30 I've paid at many other places. The salon is good size - about 9 stations and 8 pedicure chairs. They have a huge selection of gel polish, the inside is clean, and they have a huge fish tank that you can check out while getting your nails done. The only downside is that this place gets PACKED. If you don't go during an off-time, as in - a weekday morning - expect to wait at least a half hour. They take appointments, but I've gone in with an appointment and STILL had to wait quite a while, hence the 4 star rating instead of 5. Read Less

By far the best nail salon that i've come across in the last few years in this area. Great pedicures, doesn't feel rushed and is reasonably priced. Decent prices for decent services.  Can always count on a speedy and efficient, however not the best shaping, eyebrow wax...but it gets the job done.Pedicures are ok..however don't ever get the French Manicure style..it's done odd...just odd...and for some reason does not stay on.  Same with the hands...  Got one once and it was chipped within a day..I do my own and they will last chip free for at least 4.  Go figure.  Maybe they use a crappy base coat? What can I say about Fashion Nails?  I have been there for nearly 3 years and am a VERY picky client (Maggie will agree).  I came to Fashion Nails after my salon of choice due to their lack of desire to do designs and charging exhorbitant prices for gel fills.  Maggie and Kelly were the two individuals who were recommended and they did not disappoint.  Maggie and her husband own the establishment and I've really grown to adore them.  We had some minor bumps in the road but like every good relationship, without the bumps you don't appreciate one another.  :)The things I love are:  1.  Ambiance2.  QUALITY3.  Consideration and concern of maintaining that quality4.   How personable the team is, esp Maggie and her husband5.   Prices6.   Location (is perfect)7.   Cleanliness8.   Ability to communicate flawlessly.  Maggie and her husband are more fluent than I       am!!!  lol9.   Willingness to be creative10. I don't understand how in the WORLD this place has gotten 5 stars from numerous reviewers. I just don't get it...I actually decided to head to this place because of all the great reviews that I had read - I shouldn't have listened. I called a few days ahead and made an appointment for 10am on a rainy Friday morning. I was shocked to see that by 10:15, they were absolutely packed. Which I took as a good sign considering the droves of women coming in the door. I picked my color for my pedicure and was off to the chair. So far, so good. The pedicure was maybe a 5 out of 10. My feet didn't soak at all and while the hot towels were nice, it wasn't like I haven't had the particular hot towel experience before. The pedicure didn't blow me away at all. What DID surprise me however, was when the woman next to me had her sandals slipped on, toe separators put in and then the woman started to polish her feet. Why my nail tech decided to paint my toes without my flip flops on and separators in is beyond me. And then to add insult to injury with barely dried toenails, she's maneuvering my feet into my flip flops trying not to bump them. Really? Did I mention I had a wedding to attend of a good friend that evening? So, I decided to get my eyebrows done as well. I had only planned on having a pedicure and a fill done but I figured what the heck. She did a semi-decent job on my toes.The eyebrows were the best part about the whole experience. Really and truly. This particular woman (I didn't even bother asking for her name because I WON'T be back) should stick to eyebrows and make that it because had she done my nails first, I would have left.I just wanted a fill, that's all. Instead what I got was sore fingers, a LOT of miscommunications and a not so good final product. I should have known right from the start when not once, not twice, but more than I can count she burned me with the damn sander. If she hadn't been rushing (why, I have no idea) and gone SLOW around the areas that are more sensitive - ladies, you know what I'm talking about here - the cuticle, the sides of our nail beds - it would have been fine. After the 2nd finger in and her burning me 3 or 4 times already, I was sweating. I was truly SWEATING because I was so nervous about her doing my nails at this point. After the 2nd nail I told her that it was hurting too much and maybe I should just have my nails soaked off and get a manicure. It seemed like the safest bet. Why she continued to ignore me I have no idea. More $ maybe? After a second request that went ignored, I told her to sand as little as possible because I was done being burned. I've got seriously uneven nails that aren't even covered by gel on the sides. The kind of thing you don't realize until you're halfway home after you've paid a crapload of $ for shitty service. Here's the best part about all of it - I decided to get a design on each ring finger and the idiot puts a design on one finger and goes to my other hand and puts a design on a completely different finger. When I pointed it out she said "Oh. Well, you can put design on these two fingers." Yeah thanks but no thanks. When she realized she messed up and I wasn't falling for her cover, she got huffy (literally, she started huffing and puffing) and bumped two of my fingers with her wrist. She fixed about 4 or 5 fingers by the time she was "done." It was the most ridiculous fill I have ever had in my life. Truly.If her intention was to squeeze every possible dollar from my wallet, she did it. I paid $75 (not including tip) for this crapfest of a nail salon. I've been to better places and don't plan on returning to this one. I shouldn't expect great service from a place that is located right next to Walmart, should I? Shame on me... Read Less

I have lived in Wethersfield for almost 12 years and have tried pretty much every nail salon in the Wethersfield/Rocky Hill area before finding Fashion Nails. I was never completely satisfied with any one of them because it was often hit or miss at most places. As soon as I found a place or nail tech that I liked, there would a change in management or ownership or staff and I would have to start over again. I like consistency and not having to worry about whether the person doing my nails is going to do a job well done so that I can just relax and enjoy the experience. Since finding Fashion Nails, I am a true and loyal customer and have been going there for over 5 years now. I have recommended them to many friends and family. Maggie and her husband are the owners and they, along with their team of nail techs, treat everyone with the highest level of courtesy and professionalism. They remember everybody's name.  When I call them, I am greeted by a "Hi Enelsa, how are you?" before I can even open my mouth and say manicure. They are never pushy or try to overcharge you. On the contrary, they will always respect what you want and advise you in advance of the costs.
