I don't usually bother doing reviews but I felt like I needed to share my experience....The owner is such a sweetheart and she's the only one I trust with my waxing. I've gone to other places and she is by far the best at what she does. I booked with her in advance and as soon as I got there she took me right away. You can actually hold a conversation with her which makes the experience that much better because there isn't that awkward silence. The new location is gorgeous! Very clean and such a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend coming here. You will not be disappointed!! ***edit 2/7/17***so I’m editing this review only because I’ve been here 3 times since the original review and idk if it’s just me or what but literally within a day or 2 after my wax I have hair regrowing which is very disappointing especially when I was going on vacation. I gave her another try around my birthday but the same thing happened. Maybe it’s the wax she’s using?? I really don’t know but in the past my waxes have lasted at least 2-4 weeks....2 days is just unacceptable especially with me paying $60 every time I go there. Don’t get me wrong the owner is so nice but I’m not impressed with the work. I’ll be going elsewhere and trying to see what results I get from a different location. Read Less

Erika did my nails and it was amazing! She was very knowledgeable about a gel manicure and gave the best hand massage I have ever gotten from a nail salon. She was quick and my nails lasted weeks! Convenient, comfortable, and customized experience! I get a spray tan every 3-4 weeks. I had someone coming to my home for sometime but recently switched and started coming to Coconuts. I love grabbing a smoothie for lunch and heading back for a spray. The color is perfect and even all over. We chat during the spray and I'm completely comfortable and at ease. They make you feel like you've been friends forever and you're just going to a good friends house. I'm in and out in 20 minutes! I really can't say enough. I called on Saturday to see what their pricing was and to ask some questions about their spray tanning. When I called I spoke to Cathy and was pleasantly surprised with her knowledge about their spray tans. I explained to her that I'm sure this was a shot in the dark but I had an very negative experience at a chain tanning place in southington with a spray tan. I explained my experience and by the sound of it she was familiar with the complaints. I told her I was very dissatisfied with the tan and asked if they could do anything for me. But I saw that they were only open from 10-1 on Sunday. She said she would be there in the morning at 7am to assist another client. Told me if I could be there by 715 she would helpMe in correcting my tan. But the only thing she could do to fix in such a small time frame as the wedding was Sunday evening was the "one and done". She explained everything to me and I was on board. I went in Sunday at 7am to make sure I was able to be corrected. She was met me there and as I walked in she had a smile on her face and greeted me appropriately. The salon was absolutely beautiful. She asked if I was the "fix" I said yes. She saw the look on my face of disappointment. She took me into the room and told me what to do. She walked me through step by step and took her time. She even tried to get some of the old tan off. She made me feel very comfortable. When I left there I left with a beautiful tan and a smile on my face. I will definitely return for my spray tan needs again. Thanks Cathy. You are a life saver. I have been visiting the area for over a year and now I am living here.. I wish I had found Coconuts sooner!! I have a wedding this weekend and wanted a little more color so I signed up for a spray tan and I am obsessed. I was so comfortable in the booth and the color looks unbelievably natural. I love this place.  I love Cathy.  She is a trip!  I have been coming here since it was in the old location and I have to say this new place is wonderful.  I joked that she could hold a yoga class inside!Cathy is a master waxer.  And she is FAST.  Do not go anywhere else  Believe me I strayed and got 'sugared' once..oy..and I'm now BACK to STAY.I have yet to try her spray tan because I'm not a bulb person, but that is certainly on my 'to-do' list. What a wonderful experience!  I went there last minute and in desperate need of a spray tan for a wedding the next day. It was my first time getting a spray tan and I was worried about coming out orange or looking like Ross from the Friends episode.  However, my tan came out flawless! I went to coconuts after searching for a good spray tan, my clientele highly recommended Cathy and her expertise. After going in for only a spray tan ($35 what a steal!) I spoke with her daughter who happens to be the receptionist. She mentioned all of the other services they offer, one being teeth whitening. I came here for a brazilian wax .. my concern was that my skin would be sensitive to the wax and break out and or eventually get ingrown hairs ( i usually get the thick green "natural" wax and they use strips here). The owner assured me that that would NOT happen and it will NOT be as painful as i think with the strips! I have been getting waxed for about 7 years now and i always get ingrown hairs no matter what i try. She took her time waxing me and it was the LEAST painful wax i have ever gotten . She then placed witch hazel on my skin, which she said would prevent ingrown hairs, and she also gave me a bottle of it ( i didn't believe that this would prevent ingrown hairs).  I have  been using the witch hazel daily after showering and NO ingrown hairs ... amazing !!! i will def be going back here for my waxes !!
