Living full time in Manhattan, I have had plenty of experience with nail salons, and over the years of coming home to CT, Elegance has always put the NYC salons to shame. Whether it's a pedicure or gel manicure, I am never disappointed. I struggle to find a gel manicure that stays the full two weeks.. at Elegance, the gel manicure surpasses the two weeks, often staying through a third week. Everyone is trained the same way, so no matter who does your nails, they will always come out perfectly. Great nail spa. I live on the shoreline and go to Elegance whenever I need a Mani or pedi. They give a free massage after everyy manicure while your nails are drying. Never takes too long to be in and out. Very reliable. Read Less

I went here for pedis today with my 5 year old daughter. Everyone was friendly and the place was nice and clean. I paid $30 for my basic pedi and $20 for my daughter's. Plus another $5 to get her finger nails painted. They did great with her. No complaints. Read Less

Came here for tips for $50 and was a little disappointed with how they turned out. You can still see my nails underneath because they use clear extenders rather than the powder mixture that is painted on and hardened, that I get from regal nails in Waterford. The "white tip" part was painted on and I was hoping for the tips to already be pre-made and glued on, so that I wouldn't have to worry about it smudging. So between the clear nail extenders, and the white tips painted on, it was very easy to see the powder that was used to create the nails, as well as where my real nail ends and the fake part begins. They don't look bad, but I have had much better for $30. I would like to give credit to the manicures I saw done there as I was getting my nails done. They came out beautifully. The staff were friendly and the place is very clean. Music was not relaxing but I wasn't there for a massage. I will stick to my favorite place in Waterford because it is way cheaper, the nails last (for me) at least 4 weeks, and they come out durable and next-to-flawless. Read Less

$13 for a manicure that is still perfect six days later and a free shoulder massage.  Literally the best deal I may have ever encountered.A friend and I stopped in on a Friday morning for manicures.  There was plenty of staff in the large space so there was no wait.  Elegance has a large variety of polishes, mostly OPI and Essie colors. I was asked what shape I like my nails to be as well as if I wanted them just filed or cut and filed.  I like having options and being consulted on these types of things.The actual manicure took about 20 minutes.  I felt like the employees paid attention to detail, took their time and made sure the final product looked spotless.  They also encourage you to pay before they add polish so you don't mess up your nails fiddling around with money. Everything in Elegance is very clean and it is obvious that they have a ton of returning, regular customers. After your manicure or pedicure as you are sitting at the drying station, you receive a wonderful, free shoulder massage.  It was a little less than 10 minutes.  I typically never wait long enough for my nails to dry and this is a perfect way to pass that time. This is worth the $13 by itself.Elegance does not take tips on credit or debit cards so make sure you have some cash on hand for tips.  Though I do not live in the area, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, clean, friendly and affordable nail place. I have been going here for years and have rarely been disappointed.  It's clean, they are friendly business people and family oriented.   They usually have someone available for a massage while your nails dry and have upbeat music playing.   I've tried other places now and again but always return to Elegance.    They updated a couple of years ago and the pedi chairs offer a back massage which is a nice perk but overall they aren't the most comfy spa chairs I've experienced. I have been going to Elegance Nails for 8 years. This place is very clean and does a great job every time. I go every week for a manicure and once a month for a pedicure. Great value, and wonderful service. They have 6 pedicure stations, so it is great for a wedding party. The staff is very friendly, they give the best massages with pedicures.
