First time customer and probably last. I had a very nice powder manicure, regular pedicure, and complimentary massage that was ruined in moments. While the service total cost $92 that I was willing to pay (no questioned asked), plus a tip, I was embarrassed and felt taken advantage of. At the end of my service, I willingly left gratuity via credit card. To remind you, gratuity is never mandatory. The woman told me I had to pay tip with cash "next time". After looking at my receipt, she asked me "where is tip" "you paid $92, where is tip?" She apparently did not like the $10 tip I left, so i wrote a few more dollars down and she walked away from me. While I left a tip I was yelled at for how much I left and essentially forced to leave more as everyone in the salon stared at me. That's extremely inappropriate. Read Less

The actual people who do the nails can get a little bossy and tug on your fingers if they aren't in the exact place you'd like. And if you misunderstand or don't answer within seconds, they get rude about asking the question again. It was my birthday over the weekend and my mom bought me a groupon for a gel manicure and a back massage for this place. So I went, even though I had been before and didn't have a very good experience. Turns out they don't actually accept Groupon vouchers. Or groupon doesn't know what they're doing, which I doubt. When a customer calls for an appointment for a mani-pedi and you tell them what time they can come in, the customer has the right to expect you to honor the appointment time (within a few minutes).  Keeping a person waiting almost an hour (even if you give them a "discount" for the trouble) is unacceptable.  Waiting until less than a half an hour before you close to take the customer and then doing a sloppy and rushed job (even after the customer explained that this was for a wedding) so you can close on time is nothing but greedy and TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.  At the very least after all the trouble to the customer, you should have stayed and taken the time to do your job right and if that meant you had to stay an extra half hour, too bad.  Maybe you shouldn't have been so greedy by letting people walk in or over-book appointments, or whatever it was that caused you to keep the customer waiting such a ridiculous amount of time in the first place. You turned what should have been a relaxing and nice experience into a stressful and horrible one.  Ruined my daughter's night.  She should have walked out.  Nail salons are a dime a dozen around here - don't expect to stay in business if this is how you operate. I got there at 4 for a mani pedi and they did both at the same time and then closed at 5:30 once I left and I felt rushed. When you are paying over $100 I would expect a bit more. Read Less

I used to absolutely love this place. I recommended it to all the women in my life in the area and many switched to it. And at one time it truly was amazing but the customer service from the owners has slowly gotten worse and worse. I've waited until my 3rd bad experience to now share, hoping the owners were simply having an off day. The saddest part about deciding to no longer be a customer is the workers here are all amazing. Talented, sweet, patient, easy to accommodate what you need. I considered just ignoring the owners in the future but I just can't ignore the blatant rudeness. The final straw for me was today, after everyone arrived 20 minutes after their opening time they walked in without a word of apology or even a smile. The woman waiting with me said "well they seem a bit unhappy." After getting my nails done from sweet Ann I paid for quick dry polish since they were late and I had to get back to my 2 year old. When I sat at the drying area I asked "Does the quick dry coat take much time off of the drying?" with a big smile on my face. I wasn't upset at all that I had to sit for a bit. The owner shot back almost yelling at me that "Well since nobody EVER gets three coats yea you'll sit there for 10 minutes!" I replied back with "Ok, no problem, you could have said it a little nicer though," but he was already half way across the room. I was so upset by his response and embarrassed that I was almost in tears. It's HOW he said it to me. So before I left I thought ok I'm just going to give this owner one more shot and just quietly tell him that he upset me and that I didn't understand why he was being rude to me. I emphasize here that I was quietly speaking to him in the back of the place, to not embarrass him, and he did not return the favor. Again, he yells back at me "YOU SPENT $1 ON THE DRY COAT IT'S JUST THE TRUTH THAT YOU HAVE TO SIT THERE IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO SHARE THIS PLACE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!" I replied with, I totally get that, I'm just saying that even right now you're speaking very rudely to me. He didn't seem to understand so I said you know what, don't worry about it, it's fine. I want the owner to know that you simply cannot treat customers so poorly and you WILL lose customers because of it. I'm sure he will write some defensive response that I've noticed that he does to other bad reviews here on yelp.I also shared what happened today with a friend who agreed that yes he's been almost bi-polar, friendly one day and just mean another day, and even kinder to other customers while being rude to some. It's bizarre!! Today was my last day and I will be sure to share with others to stop going as well.Update: As I thought, owner wrote a very defensive reply, saying if I was such a nice person I wouldn't post a bad review? Even kind people have a right to share their feelings. I feel so sad for him that he could have possibly taken my comments as rude, when they first arrived I was feeling for them so much as I looked at the hours on the door and thought about how long they were there and how exhausted they must be. I was trying to connect with him and was feeling empathic. For him to read that as rude? And then decide to be mean to me the rest of the time I was there? If you are looking for a great experience and red carpet nails, this is your place! As a person that doesn't get their nails done very often, I was skeptical at first because I had never been to Blue Nail Spa before. My first experience there was wonderful. The environment was clean and very relaxing. I wasn't rushed in and out, they took their time and worked diligently on each client. Everyone was so kind and the owner was on top of making sure results were satisfactory, which I loved! Most importantly, the finish product had me stunned!!! Definitely will be returning! As a person that doesn't get their nails done very often, I was skeptical at first because I had never been to Blue Nail Spa before. My first experience there was wonderful. I won't be back. They had no problem fitting me in when I was paying money, but when I went back the day after spending $45 for a manicure just the day before, and needed a repair on 2 chips in my fresh manicure, suddenly they didn't have time. I was a loyal customer for more than 2 years, religiously going every 2 weeks and spending at least $50 each visit. I always tipped the nail techs very well, and I don't feel I was given the same loyalty in return. I went to a different salon in town who gladly repaired the chips in less than 15 mins and that salon now has my business. It pays to recognize customer loyalty. Read Less

Kevin is one of the best manicurists that I have ever been to. Blue Nail Spa really takes pride it it's appearance and hygiene. I enjoy coming to this spa and I am a customer for life.

Every time I go- they get worse.  Customer service is a huge issue.  And I'm not picky!  Today was a deal breaker.  The woman at the counter never smiled.  Even though I called to make an appointment they were rushing us.Aesthetician never asked if I wanted my toe nails cut.  Never asked about shape.  Rushed through the cleaning.  I asked if the extra $10 was for foot reflexology as indicated in the menu.  She said yes.  She just rubbed my legs.  Not my feet like I wanted.  Never checked on water temperature.  Never checked on stone temperature.Rude.  Rushed.  Not going back.  Never smiled once.  I really needed a pick me up.  And didn't get one.  I had such a negative vibe I canceled the manicure.Every time I've gone they have completely new technicians.  I think this is a problem.  Used to be great with Kevin.The owner never even offered us water.  My pedicure plus extras and tip was $70.  You should offer your customers a smile and some water for that much money.Not going back.Update:  I was not offered, nor did I ask for, anything off my bill.But based on this rude response I'm definitely not going back, as it shows they have problems with more than one customer.  This is why they will not make it here.  I gave an HONEST review and they lied about offering a discount - or they have me mistaken for another unhappy customer.  Neither are good.They won't last here long with that attitude.  Kevin is their only hope. Customer service is a huge issue when it comes to this salon. They promote their rewards card so much but you don't get points from your first purchase (mine was $80) and I didn't get points the next purchase (another $80!) because I used a coupon they gave me. I told them I didn't want the 10% off for using the card, I just want the points. I work in retail so I understand different use of coupons and points so I'm seriously disappointed in the waste of the card. Because of that, I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm not spending extra money (because there prices are higher) and not get the rewards out of it after paying for a rewards card. Read Less

Decided to try this salon after I received a $5 off coupon in the mail! I'm very happy I did. I made an appointment, but arrived early and they were able to take me. Tiffany did my nails and I would definitely recommend her!! I was able to show her a picture of what I wanted and she did a fabulous job! She was so meticulous with taking my old shellac manicure off and making sure my nails were smooth before applying the new shellac. I was given a complimentary massage by another employee which was wonderful. They did try to upsell me on a 10 min massage after that but I did not mind. The entire salon was super clean and very relaxing. All of the employees were extremely polite and their English was great. My shellac manicure included paraffin as well! A color shellac is $30 and French shellac is $40. They do charge $5 to take off old shellac manicure, but I don't mind this charge (I know some people do). They have a rewards card that give you discounts that you can sign up for for $5. They had small signs that stated that they preferred cash tips, so just an FYI if you go! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!! Read Less

Came here for eyelash extensions after going somewhere else and being very disappointed. They not only removed the bad eyelashes that were put on at this other salon but they did a fabulous job on applying a whole new set. Perfect for me, natural looking but still very dynamic. Not too much for every-day but still perfect for a night out. If it's your first time getting them done make sure you set aside time as it typically takes between 1.5-2 hours to do. Plus if you pay in cash taxes aren't applied. Next time I will do nails here as well. They are very friendly and very polite and accommodating. Read Less

But Kevin and Helen were so wonderful and everything was great! mani is holding up massage fantastic and my eyebrows are just the way I like. prices are good salon is clean and well decorated! there was also a regular customer in there too which you can easy tell because the workers all knew her and a lot about her, which I like! So before I left I thought ok I'm just going to give this owner one more shot and just quietly tell him that he upset me and that I didn't understand why he was being rude to me. I emphasize here that I was quietly speaking to him in the back of the place, to not embarrass him, and he did not return the favor. Again, he yells back at me "YOU SPENT $1 ON THE DRY COAT IT'S JUST THE TRUTH THAT YOU HAVE TO SIT THERE IT DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT TO SHARE THIS PLACE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!" I replied with, I totally get that, I'm just saying that even right now you're speaking very rudely to me. He didn't seem to understand so I said you know what, don't worry about it, it's fine. I want the owner to know that you simply cannot treat customers so poorly and you WILL lose customers because of it. I'm sure he will write some defensive response that I've noticed that he does to other bad reviews here on yelp.I also shared what happened today with a friend who agreed that yes he's been almost bi-polar, friendly one day and just mean another day, and even kinder to other customers while being rude to some. It's bizarre!! Today was my last day and I will be sure to share with others to stop going as well.Update: As I thought, owner wrote a very defensive reply, saying if I was such a nice person I wouldn't post a bad review? Even kind people have a right to share their feelings. I feel so sad for him that he could have possibly taken my comments as rude, when they first arrived I was feeling for them so much as I looked at the hours on the door and thought about how long they were there and how exhausted they must be. I was trying to connect with him and was feeling empathic. For him to read that as rude? And then decide to be mean to me the rest of the time I was there? As a person that doesn't get their nails done very often, I was skeptical at first because I had never been to Blue Nail Spa before. My first experience there was wonderful. The environment was clean and very relaxing. I wasn't rushed in and out, they took their time and worked diligently on each client. Everyone was so kind and the owner was on top of making sure results were satisfactory, which I loved! Most importantly, the finish product had me stunned!!! Definitely will be returning! I won't be back. They had no problem fitting me in when I was paying money, but when I went back the day after spending $45 for a manicure just the day before, and needed a repair on 2 chips in my fresh manicure, suddenly they didn't have time. I was a loyal customer for more than 2 years, religiously going every 2 weeks and spending at least $50 each visit. I always tipped the nail techs very well, and I don't feel I was given the same loyalty in return. I went to a different salon in town who gladly repaired the chips in less than 15 mins and that salon now has my business. It pays to recognize customer loyalty. Read Less

Kevin is one of the best manicurists that I have ever been to. Blue Nail Spa really takes pride it it's appearance and hygiene. I enjoy coming to this spa and I am a customer for life.

Every time I go- they get worse.  Customer service is a huge issue.  And I'm not picky!  Today was a deal breaker.  The woman at the counter never smiled.  Even though I called to make an appointment they were rushing us.Aesthetician never asked if I wanted my toe nails cut.  Never asked about shape.  Rushed through the cleaning.  I asked if the extra $10 was for foot reflexology as indicated in the menu.  She said yes.  She just rubbed my legs.  Not my feet like I wanted.  Never checked on water temperature.  Never checked on stone temperature.Rude.  Rushed.  Not going back.  Never smiled once.  I really needed a pick me up.  And didn't get one.  I had such a negative vibe I canceled the manicure.Every time I've gone they have completely new technicians.  I think this is a problem.  Used to be great with Kevin.The owner never even offered us water.  My pedicure plus extras and tip was $70.  You should offer your customers a smile and some water for that much money.Not going back.Update:  I was not offered, nor did I ask for, anything off my bill.But based on this rude response I'm definitely not going back, as it shows they have problems with more than one customer.  This is why they will not make it here.  I gave an HONEST review and they lied about offering a discount - or they have me mistaken for another unhappy customer.  Neither are good.They won't last here long with that attitude.  Kevin is their only hope. Customer service is a huge issue when it comes to this salon. They promote their rewards card so much but you don't get points from your first purchase (mine was $80) and I didn't get points the next purchase (another $80!) because I used a coupon they gave me. I told them I didn't want the 10% off for using the card, I just want the points. I work in retail so I understand different use of coupons and points so I'm seriously disappointed in the waste of the card. Because of that, I'll take my business elsewhere. I'm not spending extra money (because there prices are higher) and not get the rewards out of it after paying for a rewards card. Read Less

Decided to try this salon after I received a $5 off coupon in the mail! I'm very happy I did. I made an appointment, but arrived early and they were able to take me. Tiffany did my nails and I would definitely recommend her!! I was able to show her a picture of what I wanted and she did a fabulous job! She was so meticulous with taking my old shellac manicure off and making sure my nails were smooth before applying the new shellac. I was given a complimentary massage by another employee which was wonderful. They did try to upsell me on a 10 min massage after that but I did not mind. The entire salon was super clean and very relaxing. All of the employees were extremely polite and their English was great. My shellac manicure included paraffin as well! A color shellac is $30 and French shellac is $40. They do charge $5 to take off old shellac manicure, but I don't mind this charge (I know some people do). They have a rewards card that give you discounts that you can sign up for for $5. They had small signs that stated that they preferred cash tips, so just an FYI if you go! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!! Read Less

Came here for eyelash extensions after going somewhere else and being very disappointed. They not only removed the bad eyelashes that were put on at this other salon but they did a fabulous job on applying a whole new set. Perfect for me, natural looking but still very dynamic. Not too much for every-day but still perfect for a night out. If it's your first time getting them done make sure you set aside time as it typically takes between 1.5-2 hours to do. Plus if you pay in cash taxes aren't applied. Next time I will do nails here as well. They are very friendly and very polite and accommodating. Read Less

But Kevin and Helen were so wonderful and everything was great! mani is holding up massage fantastic and my eyebrows are just the way I like. prices are good salon is clean and well decorated! there was also a regular customer in there too which you can easy tell because the workers all knew her and a lot about her, which I like!
