I had a gel manicure done yesterday by one of the ladies. It looked fine when I left, but started to chip later that same night. Gel is supposed to last 2 weeks and this one didn't even last a day! A huge chunk of nail polish came off my thumb and both my index finger and ring finger are chipping. 30 minutes ago, I went to talk to the man at the shop, since he was there when I received my gel manicure. I asked to speak with him outside of his establishment so I could respect the other customers in his shop at the time. I thought he would also appreciate that I was not letting them hear me complain that my gel manicure from the previous day is already chipping in chunks. He said well, this is the first time we’ve heard that happening or any complaints. That has never happened. I said well, you can see that my nails are chipping. I don’t have time for you to redo them and I had to make a special trip back to show them to you. Now, I also have to fit in a trip to my normal shop to get my nails redone and I’m going away on a trip, so I’m crunched for time. I asked for a refund and he tells me that this never happens. He asks me is there something wrong with the nail polish or with the person who put on the nail polish, how is he supposed to know. He said they’ll just redo my thumb. It will only take 5 minutes. I showed him multiple nails were chipping so it will not take only 5 minutes, nor do I want it to only take 5 minutes. I have meetings all day at work today and tomorrow and then I’m going away. He says well, I have other customers waiting. I don’t have time to talk to you. You can just come back after your meetings. We can’t refund everyone who has a chip in their nail. Hmm...sounds contradictory. I thought he said no one ever complained. The truth came out. During the conversation, he made me feel like my nails chipping was my fault. I told him, I didn’t do anything during the night to make my own nails chip. I ended our conversation with saying that I was very disappointed in his level of customer service. I expected more from his shop. However, I knew that I would be taking to social media and warning others about this shop’s horrible customer service, overcharging customers, and inability to take personal responsibility for their workmanship…or lack thereof. Now, reading all of the other bad reviews, I see that the man was untruthful. There are many unhappy customers…especially in regards to the gel nail polish. Fashion Nail & Spa seems to only care about getting customers in and out of their shop fast and getting money. They do not care about the satisfaction of their customers. They must remember, repeat business is what keeps a business in business. Read Less
