Catherine & Co is the best salon I've gone too... EVER! From IL to VA to CA to CT.Hair: My usual girl is Jenn (I can never remember her last name... but she has a little baby boy). She always gives them an amazing cut and color. I never feel like she rushes to get the job done or that she is unsure about her skill. I know when I walk away from her chair that I'm gonna be happy with my hair and feel good about myself.Nails: I love to get my nails done by Katie. She is fun, bubbly, and a total riot. Conversations with her are great and I always look forward to my appointments with her. She does a fantastic job with my mani and pedis.Massage: All of the massage therapists employed by Catherine & Co are fantastic. Today I went for a deep pore cleansing facial for the first time here. I specifically requested that pores around my nasal area were a problem. The lady performing my facial assured me that extractions are part of the process. Her name was Lara. She hardly did any extractions, few superficial on top of my nose, didn't extract clogged pores on my forehead or around my nose. She was very hands off, no warmth or eagerness, standoffish and superficial. She didn't even look to see where my clogged pores were. She had an attitude and was too self-conscious. I was not at all impressed by her work and all my pores are still clogged. She didn't seem invested in her work, said she has been working here for 12 years! Either she is bored with her job or just too self-concious to generate any customer care or interest. I have had facials in different Spa all over the states, but this was so poor quality and effortless, I was just shocked. Don't waste you money atleast for deep pore clesing or ask for a different person.When I called the receptionist told me they offer consultation, but when I was taken upstaris, Lara asked no questions, showed no interest in knowing my needs or offering any suggestions & didn't even inquire what type of facial I would like. I have been going to Catherine & Co since 2004. I haven't had my hair done, but I have had manicures, pedicures, and massages. The staff is friendly & accommodating. The atmosphere is warm and beautiful. My only complaint would be parking as it can be difficult to maneuver the parking lot at busy times, but it hasn't stopped me from going.
