Best nail salon in Greenwich and beyond. Anywhere else I've ever been to get a manicure or pedicure had never ever surpassed my experience here. Everyone is so friendly and remembers all the clients, they give you fantastic massages, the music and ambiance is relaxing, and everyone does a fantastic job. I will not return to this place.  The place is dirty and they do  not sanitize the tools they are using . I pay close attention to the tools, equipment and how clean is the place . The teenage girl did not care for any of it after I asked her some question she just said no English ( which a second before she spoke English fine ) after that I was a target to the "look and those teenage girls just talking about me in a language I didn't understand ( not unusual ) . No matter what day or time of day I have shown up without an appointment, I have never waited more than 5 minutes! I always walk out of here happy and relaxed. They give complimentary massages (amazing) while you're getting your nails done. I usually get UV gel done - Erica is awesome. She's fast and efficient, and I tried going there during my lunch hour once because I was desperate and couldn't make it any other time, and she got me in and out in an hour with 5 minutes to spare, and still did a quality job. I can only imagine she'd do an even better job with regular manicures/pedicures. Also - you know how sometimes you make an appointment, and you still have to wait because your technician is finishing up with someone? My favorite place in the area. I get a great manicure for $7 with a complimentary massage. I go every week now and get a chair massage with Tyree(sp), who has changed my life. The massage was horrible.. They do not sanitize the nail clipper ... My UV gel manicure was horrible and rushed .. I paid a lot for my nails and 3 needed to be fixed .. They try to charge me extra to fix my nails .. Ut wasn't even a week .. They try to charge me extra for there messed up work ... The owner is rude ... I will never go back there !! I USED to love this place- The free massages during and after mani? Yes please. But then I noticed my nails started  to chip or bubble all the time. They use acetone to thin it out and make each bottle last longer so that they don't have to buy new bottles of popular colors. Then they started to rush me in and out. I'm a Greenwich native who decided that because I received a gift certificate at this place, I'd put it to use. This was my first and LAST time ever going to Cozy. The only pro about it, is that its about a 7 minute drive from my house. If I were able to give this place 0/5 stars, I would.With the gift certificate (mani/pedi of $35), I wanted to ask questions before going about getting my nails and toes done. Sadly, the percent of employees who actually understood/spoke some sort of English was very slim. I was offered to get the gelling, *unaware that it alone was $25. When I was done, thinking I was only charged for what was on the certificate, I handed that over and proceeded to take out some tip money. The woman in charge told me that everything came up to $70?!? I told her that is ridiculous because the certificate said mani/pedi which was what I got, but they had failed to explain that the gel was separate (the reason why I was asking questions. It was my first time ever there). To make matters worse, I could already feel the peering eyes of the other employees and the talking in their Chinese/Spanish language. On top of that, the woman's attitude increases, but so does mine. I am so thankful to have brought my friend with me because she paid the difference, but that was uncalled for and unfair. I'm new to the area, so after a friend from Greenwich referred me to Cozy off of Greenwich Ave., I finally decided to give it a try. I thought it must be top notch due to the location... Wrong! Everything started out great, I received an amazing massage from an older Asian man who was very sweet. I almost fell asleep. After changing my mind from shellac mani to a regular mani though- my manicurist suddenly became very sharp and had an overall changed negative demeanor toward me. I almost wanted to ask her if I should leave if giving me service was so challenging. After unsuccessfully attempting to convince me to get the shellac done anyway, she became very tense and said I would pay $20 ( which to my understanding is much more than what is typically charged.) I agreed, paid, and she continued BUT skipped cleaning, cutting cuticles or any of the detailed work in preparation of painting the nail. End result- a sloppy mess of a manicure. I could have done this myself. Very disappointed that I received such a half assed job after simply asking for a regular mani instead of gel. The customer is always right. The worst part is that the environment is overall tense and feels like a sweatshop in there. Quiet and awkward too. No fun! Read Less

Have been going here for the past few years , yes the massages are great but that's about it.  There are only a couple of girls there that know what they are doing , the rest I'm sorry to say suck. The owners, both nice most if the time, but the wife doesn't like to make appointments when you are asking for one of the "good " ones.. She's actually lied told me she was busy with customer , I've asked what time she will be free and she has told me busy but since I work one block from place I've gone to cvs next door and passed by and my favorite manicurist is free. I agree with another post about the environment there being a bit stressful , definitely not spa-like.  Yes the $10 mani's plus massages are great but not really happy with not being able to make appointments with the manicurist that I prefer. I've been going here for almost 3 years now, but yesterday was my last day. I've had it with the tension there. The owner(s) run the place like a fast food restaurant, trying to turn clients over quickly. They don't seem to treat the staff with respect either. The staff never seem happy, except with a few nervous giggles and comments in an Asian language or Spanish. I feel badly for them.The girl who did my nails last was inexperienced seemingly. The French manicure was probably the worst I'd ever had. I didn't last more than 2 hours before it chipped. I had several gift certificates won at a silent auction so I took my daughters for a treat of manis and pedis.  This place was awful.  From the tiny claustrophobic space to the assembly line atmosphere to the terrible mani/pedis - there is no way I would ever return here.  Surely there must be something better in tony Greenwich?  All 4 of our manis are chipped and a mess and it's only been 2 days.  My manicurist (didn't get her name because no one had name tags) didn't push my cuticles back so the polish sits on the skin in many places and the bottom of the nail is uneven.  Not cool.  They also didn't offer a discount for kids services.  Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I wanted to like this place, but I picked up a bacterial infection from here! The space is nice, they have a great selection, and they were friendly, but they do not clean their tools properly. Two days after I had my nails done, my thumb started to get red, the skin ballooned up a bit, and it hurt when it was touched. It didn't get better after a few days so I went to the dermatologist. It was a infection called Paronychia that is common in nail salons if they don't clean their tools. I'm on antibiotics for two weeks now. Unless you want to go to the doctor and have to take a pill for two weeks, I would advise you to check out a different (cleaner) salon. Read Less

I love coming here for the convience right off the avenue behind CVS and awsome massages that are much needed. I even come here on my lunch break if a pedicure is much needed. Their hrs are 930am-730pm which i love that theyre open late! This place is alwys packed at holidays- i usually come here a few days before the holidays to avoid the holiday rush. They have an amazing selection of ESSI/OPI nail polishes!!! I always get a standard pedicure ($20-25) they take about 30min while i just read/catchup on the gossip magazines. I get a manicure only when holidays are coming up. Costs only $10. The only downside is when i go to dry my manicure i have to sit there for 2-3 dryer machine cycles or else i ruin it in less than 5min when leave!The massages i keep going back for-its a huge destresser! They give you one when you get a manicure and again while your nails are drying. They use olive oil lotion on you. They accept cash or card- only downside is you cant put your tip on a card which is very annoying! Read Less

Clearly this is a fan fav in Greenwich, since every time I've walked past or stepped foot in this place it looks like cattle call.  This nail salon is far from a "spa" experience to say the least.  Granted, the prices are low, and their saving grace is the amazing massage they give you during and after your mani/pedi...but for me there are a few more important things when I'm having a service done. First, I would like to state that I am a licensed cosmetologist for over 10 years, so I know a thing or two about required sanitation.  THIS IS THE NUMBER ONE THING TO LOOK FOR, ESPECIALLY IN A NAIL SALON!!! Nail fungus is a terrible thing to encounter folks, once you have it, it is a long and slow road to recovery.  I noticed very closely that the girls take their utensils out of a "supposed sanitized package" something that looks like it comes from a hospital...however, they put the used utensils right back in the package and use them on the next client without proper sterilization.  This is how fungus is transferred.  I basically came in last week for a quicky manicure and toe polish change...mainly because I desperately needed the massage that accompanied those services, but before the nail tech could touch my toes with the dirty utensils, I flat out told her not to use anything of that bag on my feet because I don't allow unsanitized tools to be used on me.  I'm actually surprised at how a place like this in Greenwich, CT thrives considering that the people from this area can most certainly afford to go to a place that runs their business with proper health concerns in mind.  Aside from the most important fact of the lack of sanitation...which after stating that, there should be no other reason for me to even have to continue... but I will...The polish does NOT last!! I happen to know that when polish is open and used frequently it thickens up, and some places add a couple of drops of polish remover to thin it out. This jeopardizes the integrity of the polish...hence chipping.  I also find that when they cut your cuticles...they do it in such a choppy way that you end up with some funky hang nails a couple of days later.  I hate to rain on this places parade...but I feel an obligation to let people know about my discovery here.  Save your nails from disease, and only go to nail salons that follow proper health practices.  You truly get what you pay for!! If you must come to this place, I would pretty much only come back for a chair massage.  As far as waxing...I've never tried it because I have a place that I regularly use that I know is clean and safe...but judging on how they are about their nail instruments, I would really really really be apprehensive about allowing them to wax me...quite frankly...I don't even want to think about it!! Although I'm disappointed with how quickly my polish chips, I must admit I keep going back for a several reasons:1) convenient2) inexpensive3) amazing massage during manicure and while drying4) friendly staff - open the door for you and many people greet you while entering5) Interior nicely decorated6) cleanSome of the cons (with exception to the already mentioned polish chipping 2 days after it's applied):1) usually very busy and loud2) tools for cutting cuticles are not always very sharp so cuticle is not cut all of the wayThey take reservations, which is a plus however don't expect to sit by each other if you go in with 3 or 4 girlfriends unannounced (unless it's right when they open).  I've heard the more permanent "gel" colors do last and are worth the money, however I've never gotten this done.  Cost the first time is about $45 and $30+ each additional time.  Should last 2+ weeks.I've also gotten my eyebrows/lip waxed here and would also rate it 3 stars.  While the person did a fine job, I noticed my lip broke out slightly with a few small bumps.  I'm sure others couldn't see them, but I knew they were there.Parking is accessible as there's a large lot behind Greenwich Ave.  Also, keep in mind they don't add tips to their debit/credit card transactions so make sure you have cash.  If you forget they'll let you go next door to CVS and get cash.Happy pampering!!
