I'm not one to write reviews unless the service was absolutely great or just down right horrible. This place was great. Took my grandmother here on a whim for a simple manicure. As packed as they were, we only had to wait a few minutes before the front desk staff squeezed my grandmother in. What took me to write this review was how the staff despite very busy did not rush the service.. even brought over a cup of tea for my grandmother to enjoy. Facility was great. I have spent SOOO much money here and recently I had gel polish applied. The following day somehow my nail split and I went in to see if they could simply put on a new coat on one nail and they were SO rude. They said it was my fault and wanted to charge me $7 and they were very insulting about it. I mean, no big deal and I ended up supergluing it myself but expect better customer care than that for the money spent. Looking for a better place. Shoddy!! Read Less

Not all Posh Nails are created equal.  I have been the the one in Westport countless times and love it. I recently moved and tried the Southport location today; which was a less than stellar experience. They were busy and I totally get it, it's the day before a holiday. They brought me back to a pedicure chair to soak; but it was a solid 10-15mins before anyone came to work on me.  The water got cold and the jets weren't on, so my feet were soaking in cold water, while I waited. Secondly at the Westport location a regular pedicure includes paraffin wax heel treatment, which I love!!  They did not do this treatment at the Southport location which was disappointing. I kind of chopped all the above up to it was busy end of day before a holiday and then it came time to pay.  I had emailed  [email protected] and was very specific in my email asking if I could use a SpaFinder gift card on manicure & pedicure at ALL locations.  Kristen emailed me back "Yes do we accept SpaFinder gift cards at all of our locations!  - Kristen"   So I went to Southport today expecting to use my SpaFinder gift card.  Only to be told they don't accept them and only Darien used to accept them for massages, but they don't anymore.  I showed the woman the email from Kristen and she just laughed and said she got it a little wrong.  I said she got it a lot wrong!   I paid with a credit card and let my nails dry.  On the way out I smiled and said "have a goodnight" and I got no response from the front desk staff. I will be headed back to the Westport location and obviously will need to find somewhere else to use my SpaFinder gift card. Read Less

My favorite place to get my nails done and to get a massage. Mimi is the best for a massage. The salon is clean and bright. The staff is very friendly. Someone is always available to rub your back while your getting your nails done. Nice! Read Less

I was jokingly dragged here by a good friend while we were out running errands. I had never had a pedicure done before (or manicure for that matter). The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the massage chairs were great. I was initially very uncomfortable with people touching me, especially my feet but each time I was asked and instructed where to put my feet. Afterwards I felt great. The massage and water jet portion was spectacular. While pedicures still aren't my thing, I couldn't have picked a better place to have my first one. Read Less

My favorite place to get my nails done. They always do a fabulous job with my nails, it is a treat to go there! You get water when you walk in, they take their time doing your nails and don't rush you out, and they give you a message at the end with or without lotion if you prefer. I've gone to Posh for years. I went there yesterday with 2 of my daughters for manicures....which is usually a treat that they love. After I tipped everyone generously and got in the car, my girls broke into tears about how mean they were and that they never want to go back there. It took 1/2 hour before my daughter would even tell me what happened because she was so embarrassed. Apparently Suzy (the MANAGER) told my 10 year old "Oh my god, you have such hairy arms!" and then called over other women to look at them. My girls sat there while she brought people over to look at her -- like she was some kind of sideshow attraction. I called Suzy immediately on the phone and let her have it. She started laughing and said, "Oh, I was just teasing her. You bring her in and I apologize." As if my girls EVER want to set foot in there again. Does Suzy even remember what it is like to be a 10 year old girl? If she wants to make adult women feel like they need to pay for additional services, that's one thing, but to mess with a little kid???? Totally unacceptable and just plain mean. If you go there, think twice before you let your daughter be seated away from you. I feel just terrible that I was totally oblivious to this happening while I say 20 feet away in another chair. If you do go, be sure to tell Suzy at the front desk that you heard what she did, and that it was WAAAY out of line.
