You can tell the staff in this salon care about there usual customers, and no one else. I went in for an eyebrow wax and had to wait 30 minutes. Which is fine, I would have preferred being told how long the wait was, rather than "it will be a few minutes". MeanWhile they greeted and took in walk ins whom they were familiar with, while I waited. I waited for 30 minutes and was finally told by the guy at the front desk "miss, back room". Ummmmm I've never been here before, so, where is the back room? You could at least direct me there.  Upon seeing me hesitate he said "back room now" and I still didn't know here to go, so I just walked to the back and fumbled my way to the wax room. The lady doing the wax didn't clean my forehead,/eyebrows first, just put the wax on and did it. Didn't show me the results either, just said "you're done". Okkkkkk...that's weird. Just OK.   I love getting my nails done and have had excellent experience but Lucky Nails was not a pleasant experience at all.   The owner was very rude to me.  The girls except for one speak very little English and don't really understand what you want. Read Less

This place is awesome! Came in for the first time today on account of being unhappy with my usual nail salon (my gel/shellac mani's would look average and only last a week). I showed up earlier than the appointment I made and the manager said no problem and sat me right away. My technician took her time and the result is fantastic! Had pedicure 3 hours ago! After sitting at the drying table noticed polish was messed up. Thought it was my fault. The nail person graciously mended the problem. After drying another 2O mins I headed home. All was well until I sat down and put the feet up. Some of the polish had been pushed off the toes and was wrinkled up like cellophane. Something must be wrong with the polish and or top coat. Headed to a wedding in Boston tomorrow. No time to re-do and no email available to discuss issue. I'm disappointed.Read Less

Everyone here is warm and welcoming! I am greeted by several of the owners by my first name. 'Hello my friend! How are you today Bonnie?' Green tea or water is offered, then it's on to pampering and relaxing. I think that Lucky Nails is the very best nail salon I've ever gone to. I have been to many and nowhere else have I been made to feel so special and cared for. Going there is more like visiting good friends than visiting a business. Definitely my go to place to get my manicures and pedicures!  Staff is friendly and the service is always as expected. ..great!I go here everytime I want to change the polish on my toes.The whole place is clean, and very welcoming. I called Lucky Nails today after a referral don a woman at a Drs office. I was greeted very politely and respectfully by a man in the phone. I needed a mani and pedi & they said they had availability. I drove from Enfield to Ellington but the yelp address led me to some rural street. I called again and the man recognized my phone and called me be my 1st name. He told me it was by the Big y. So I googled the big y and it was about 10 more mins away. I went in and was pleasantly surprised how clean and tidy everything was. A slight smell of incense was in the room but nothing strong (I don't like the smell of incense) The door bell sounds like a doorbell and has a pleasant sound.  I was greeted by the American man who I spoke to on the phone. He greeted me again by my 1st babe. A woman approached the reception desk "Vina" Nguyen completed my mani and pedi with a pleasant attitude. The chairs are very comfortable and I observed then cleaning the Browns very carefully and placed plastics around the bowls as well during the pedicures.I enjoyed my visit and they were very good to get me to relax. It has been awhile so this was a definite lay needed pedi and mani. I would definitely return. A small detail - I recommend that they clean or dust off their electronic polishers that had dust on them. Read Less

When something new moves to town, I love to try it out. I needed a fill so I thought I'd stop by on the way to the Laundromat. The place is bright and very clean although I could have done without the incense. They didn't have prices posted but the cost for my fill was average price. Ken did my nails and he was great. I only got them done about an hour ago so we'll see how they hold up. I don't know if the woman @ the counter was the owner or not but she was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to get a pedicure, it looked like each station had its own ipad for the customer and the stations for children's pedicures were so adorable. I was making an attempt to try a new nail Solon that Is closer to my area as i live inTolland and Sourh Windsor is a bit out of my way sometimes! The lady Anna that did my nails was a sweetheart but the manager\owner is very rude! Awful experience I had! I will never ever go to this salon for services again.
