I don't even know what salon these negative people went to but it isn't this one. I have never met someone named Mei and I'm there faithfully and have been for over a year now. Lena does my nails every time and I make appointments for slow times so maybe I'm lucky but I've referred people and they always come away satisfied. Lena is quick to confirm appointments by text and always remembers details about her customers. She works hard and if she struggles with a design idea she'll re do it over and over until I am happy. Prices are pretty good and no hidden fees for using a credit card. I do gel nails, gel polish, and pedicures and I'm happy with all. She tends to go light on polish but if you don't like something she is always happy to fix or re-do...I have a feeling people aren't being honest enough to ask. The salon is super clean and idk what a sterilized packet is that every one else has mentioned, but I've never been concerned. Unfortunately I have to get this place poor rating. Since stuck here in CT for work I decided to visit this now nearby salon was there for 2 1/2 hours she got busy with her apportionments people showing up. who did my services (Mei) only one there. Paid $45 for manicure, pedicure & eyebrows. The lady she didn't wash her hands in between customers who knows if the if pedicure bowl was sanitize. waxing table I'm laying on a towel that didn't get change out. The tools they used did not come to in a sterilized packet like I'm used to so I didn't feel comfortable that they were cleaned properly.  The actual manicure/ pedicure I received was average - nothing particularly great nor awful. I so wanted to like this salon. It's less than 5 minutes from where I live and would be so convenient for me. This was my second visit.  I had been a year or so ago and was not impressed so when my manicurist from another salon moved out of state I decided to give this one another shot.Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of good I can say.  The tools they used did not come to me in a sterilized packet like I'm used to so I didn't feel comfortable that they were cleaned properly.  The actual manicure/ pedicure I received was average - nothing particularly great nor awful. The reason for my one star is that the owner started yelling (in Vietnamese) at the woman who did my pedicure (Mei) when my took me to her station for my manicure.  The owner apparently wanted to do my manicure.  A verbal assault continued for at least 5 minutes with the two yelling at one another.  I was VERY uncomfortable.  Mei apologized to me several times as she completed my manicure.  The owner said nothing and remained either on the phone or iPad the remainder of my time there.  The entire scene was very unprofessional and I will never go there again, which is unfortunate for them because I get my nails done faithfully.. If I could give any advice on places NOT to go it would be Healthy Nails in East Windsor. I had a full set of gel nails put on. Two days later my nails started popping off. They were so incredibly thin. I called and made an appointment to have them fixed a few days later. I had an appointment at one and went in at 12:50 pm with my mom. The lady that did my nails was the only one there and had 6 customers and told me that my appointment was at 11am. (Not true) she then told me to call back and make another appointment. Two days passed and 5 more nails broke leaving me with two left. One on my thumb and pinky finger. At this point I just wanted my 45 dollars back. I called and spoke with her and she told me that she does not do that and she does not understand and it's not her problem that I can't make the time to come BACK in. She said she would talk to her boss and get back to me sunday. Two days ago. I just called her and asked if I could get my money back. She said no . I said can I have your owners number. She said she was busy and then CLICK. I called back another lady answered. I asked the same question and she said she was busy CLICK. I called a third time. I can't believe I'm being hung up on and a CUSTOMER jumped on the phone and said she said she was busy and your interrupting me getting my nails done. I started to explain my situation to this lady who I SHOULD NOT BE TALKING TO and she handed the phone to the other lady that answered. I asked for the owners number, She told me to stop calling and then CLICK. I am so incredibly pissed off about the customer service. I can't believe that you wouldn't give back my hard earned money back 45 dollars is a lot of money to me. I am so speechless. I will be calling back at 3pm seeing she was busy??? I haven't gone anywhere else to get my nails done since the first time I stepped into Healthy Nails. The staff always makes me feel welcomed, and the prices are very reasonable. The owner, Ms. Lena, puts a great deal of effort into making her customers feel comfortable and sees to it that her shop is clean in regards to tools, towels, etc. I highly recommend! Read Less

Figured I would leave a review for their eyebrow waxing service since I didn't see any when I was looking if this would be a place to go!Very clean place. Only reason this is getting four stars instead of five is because the woman was on the phone for a few minutes when I walked in instead of helping me. Anyways, for waxing they bring you into a separate room and lay you down on a doctor like table. She asked if I wanted my eyebrows thin or natural (which was a HUGE plus because I was super nervous being the first time that they would come out thin) and took her time on them, making conversation here and there. Unfortunately, i have to give this place a poor rating because i set up an appointment for my mom and I and they werent prepared for us. They had one guy, who tried his best, for both my mom and i. He went back and forth between my mom and i for a spa pedicure. He tried to make up for it but there is no reason why my mom and i didnt have 2 people giving us spa pedicures... am i supposed to request that? My did not like how the older lady kept yelling at the other 2 people... it was not a good experience and we will not be returning here. The BEST nails done are done here!!! Lena the owner is absolutely lovely and so accommodating to everyone that walks in the door. No talking about you or inappropriate nonsense. A solid very knowledgeable staff who genuinely cares about you. I really, really wanted to give this place a great review because it really is very friendly and warm. However, to be objective, the polish I got on my toenails already look chipped after half a day (even though it's supposedly gel), and two of my fingers bled during my manicure. The gel polish on my toes and fingers also don't match (my toes are a lot less shiny and more chipped/uneven) even though they came from the same bottle.All in all, I came in excited because of the reviews online, but left disappointed at the quality of the actual mani-pedi. One of the most friendliest nail salons I have ever been too and it was almost like being a part of the family. I was traveling on business and looking for a place to get a pedicure. I've tried others with high reviews but not completely satisfied with the work. The place is very clean, updated and new furnishings. They didn't an excellent job! They even remembered to do a base coat before applying the polish and then topcoat. Many places forget to do a clear base coat first.I also like the fact that they were not rushed as many pedicure places are to get you in and out. They took their time and did a excellent job. Their top priority was the customer and making sure I was happy. The price is less than other places in the area. $25 for a pedicure which includes a hot stone massage to the feet and ankles.  I wish I had time to get a mani but I had to get back to work. You also get a punch card for each visit. After the 9th visit you get a $10 gift certificate. This will be my go to place from here on out when I'm in the area.
