I had my nails done about 3 weeks ago , and I just took them off to find a fungus on my fingernail !!!! I'm very pissed off , that's beyond disgusting and unsanitary . I don't know how to take it off and they over charge for nails I paid $33 for a fill a FILL crazy ! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . Read Less

The pedicure was good for me. For my 5 year old daughter they charged $30 for a mani/pedi with design. They didn't do a full pedicure (nor should they on such a young person) and they didn't do anything but paint her fingernails. I felt like I was overcharged for the service for a 5 year old. I had my nails done by San. She is a wonderful nail tech!! I hardly never get acrylic nails, due to the fact that I am super picky. However, I went on a leep. I am so glad that I did because San is precise and efficient! She was patently waiting for me as I made my decision. She actually held a conversation with me; which I find to be super rare in nail shops. Nonetheless, I am a very satisfied customer and will be returning! This place is nice, but the language barrier is a big problem! I told her I wanted metallic nails and she gave me silver shellac look. when she finished painting my nails she left and locked herself in the room the whole time didn't come out. So I just left. The only part of this service I enjoyed was being able to sit with my mother and sister and receive the service together at the same time. We went at 10am when they opened and we were not greeted when we entered. I asked for 3 pedicures and was pointed in the direction of where to sit. The employees did not greet us or say anything to us the entire time. They pushed and pulled our feet in and out of the water. They walked away when they finished the service. No one asked if t...he water was fine or if we needed anything. My mother and I were knicked several times and expressed it to them and neither employee responded and continued to be rough. An employee cane back and asked if it was together or separate. The first time we were spoken to was to ask for payment. She did not tell us the total and she walked away with my mother's card. I got up to ask her the cost because I believe it's courtesy to confirm price before you take payment. She went to ask someone and came back with the price written on a piece of paper. We paid and gathered our things without the help of anyone and left without anyone saying goodbye or thank you. A basic quick pedicure is $32. If you don't care about service or personable staff don't bother. I can understand that sometimes language is a barrier (although I am not sure this is the case) but don't employee people that cannot speak basic english like hi, bye, and thank you if that is the case. No precision with their cuts.  I have tried this place on 2 separate occasions and was left with an uneven cut both times.  Both cuts were just a basic bob that is slightly longer in the front than the back and both times the right side was noticeably longer than the left.    I have also gotten high lights here twice.  They do an okay job, but they are a little too thick of stands for my taste and look a little too streaky.  After the first experience, I thought I would go back and try another stylist.  But after having the same result with a different stylist, I will not be returning. In my honest opinion, That Look offers any and everything I could want and/or hope for in a salon. I've been a client there since I was little, and i've seen three of the twenty some odd stylists who work there. They all did a fantastic job! I go every five weeks, to retouch my color, and six to get it trimmed. Since my first visit, I have had nothing but good experiences when i've gone. The staff are kind and personable, and willing to help us clients out when need be. The stylists give their professional input, and will not hesitate to be honest about the way a certain style will look on you [in the kindest way possible!] as well as alter the style to fit your look. I have looked for a hair salon and finally found it. But beware, communication is not their strong point. I have had 5 appointments and two of the five have cancelled. The last cancellation was the last straw! I left work two hours early to make my appointment, only to be told by the front receptionist that my stylist went home sick....""we tried to call you, but it wasn't you..."" was the answer I was given....I turned around and left very angry...I got to the front door and decided go back and find out why they had the wrong phone number and to see if there was another person to take me....the girl that gave me the information was laughing with another girl at the desk...""what were we supposed to do about it..."" I asked her what was so funny about my inconvenience, she realized that she was caught and turned and went back to the nail station. I was also given a ""detailed"" health history of the stylist that went home and why she had to leave...sorry, but that is none my business......and would be angry if it were my personal health that they spilling the info about..... I asked what number was called to inform me of the canceled appt. I was told that the number in the computer was erased when they called because it was wrong....I then told her I would never be back, and that it was unfair of them not to call ...after all, I filled out my home, work and cell phone information when I started with them back in the summer....I left vowing never to go back...and went shopping at Talbots and spent way too much because it made me feel better! I just moved to the area and was nervous about going to a new salon. I was highly reccomended to That Look by co-workers. The building is great. It is in an old church, it's very bright, open and an inviting atmosphere. My stylist Rachel, listened to what I wanted and gave a faboulous cut! I will see her next week for a color. Read Less

I have been a client for many years and this salon is quiet unique. It is in a church and has great natural lighting and a very open floor space. The reception staff are very nice and downstairs they do nails, pedicures and waxing. There are many people working who are all very friendly and very knowledageable. My stylist is great! I always get an excellent cut and color, and I love it. They use and recommend Redken products and most of the staff attends advanced education classes. They also have in salon education 2-4 times a year. My experience has always been great because of the communication that exists between me and my stylist, she listens to me and I love the results. I got my haircolored there the other day and I could not believe how much the stylist knew about this field. She had all the newest ideas and explained everything she was doing and why she did it. I found out how to actually use the products she suggested to get my hair the same way she styled it. I can not even tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my hair since then.
