I've been going to Danbury Breeze since they first opened. I'll start with the positives:The facility is always clean. They also use the bags in the tubs when doing pedicures which my own doctor had recommended finding for hygienic purposes. I also don't seem to smell the "nail salon" smell. Yes, of course, I can smell acetone and nail polish, but overall, there aren't any awful smells. The staff is friendly and somebody will always say hello to you when you walk in the door. They offer great promotions. There is usually some sort of promotions available which allows you to try new services, too!Now... here are my negatives (which is now leading to me not returning):They allow you to make appointments, however, EVERY time I have made an appointment... it really means nothing. I understand not wanting to turn business away, but you have to honor those that take the time to make an appointment. I have never minded waiting 10-15 minutes for an appointment, but this past Saturday I made an appointment to have my gel tips removed (mind you...these are gel tips that I had them put on & fill once already) since they have grown out and I no longer need them. I had originally gotten them put on for a wedding. After waiting for 15 minutes, I asked politely how much longer it was going to be and was told "5 minutes." I sat back down quietly and waited... however, this "5 minutes" turned into another 25 minutes. I told the woman that had greeted me that I couldn't wait any longer. I left feeling frustrated because they could have at least taken the two second to wrap my fingers and let me start to sit (to have the tips removed) while they had other clients finishing up. Time management is pretty poor. The other thing that upset me was I previously went on my birthday and they advertise in their brochure that they offer a "birthday special" and to tell them when it's your birthday. They took $1 off of my manicure/pedicure for my birthday. I appreciate they it wouldn't be free, but for the times I go there, they could have at least taken $5 off the $50+ I was spending on my manicure and my spa pedicure... Last, but not least, I don't like when I know they are frustrated (I understand customer service is NOT easy), but I think it is REALLY rude when you talk to your co-workers in a language that your clients don't understand in front of them. There are certain members of the staff that will constantly make conversation in another language while doing my nails and roll their eyes or gesture towards me while not speaking a language I understand. Whether it is about me or not, it is very poor customer service. I really liked this place when they first opened, but am now extremely disappointed in them. I hope they continue to do well, but I unfortunately will not be returning. Read Less
