Had shellac put on my nails on Tuesday, it’s already cracked and peeling off. Rushed job, sharp corners on my nails and the colour is peeling off as a result. I know it doesn’t ever really last 3 weeks but 3 days is an absolute joke. Really disappointed and wanting a refund. Read Less

I made the short walk from my stretch studio to 5th Ave Nails next door, and was pleasantly surprised to find they use organic and all natural scrubs and moisturizers. Everything smells amazing, pure and clean! The place is nicely decorated and well kept. They are competitively priced and help each other out around the salon, too. I'll be back! Read Less

The service is top notch bearing in mind I've just moved to slough. I've been going in with designs of my own and somehow the staff have done a great job each time. Can't wait for my next lot of shellac nails to be done... although this time I've realised the end part of shading the top of my nails hasn't been done too well and i can already notice some of it has come off or not simply been touched. This place is incredible - I got the sugar scrub manicure (which is all natural) because my hands get SO cracked and dry in the winter. It was really relaxing and my hands are so smooth now. The manicurist gave a wonderful massage while my hands were in the scrub. My nails came out looking great, even though they are shorter and in worse condition than ever before. He did a really nice job making them look 100x better. The place uses all organic and toxic-free supplies, which I love, and they are super cheap! I will be returning. Read Less

I've been coming to 5th Ave Nails for a few months and will not be going anywhere else! My search for the perfect nail salon is over. Their prices are comparable to other salons in the area but the service, atmosphere, and products they use are not, they are so much better! I came in one Saturday morning and one of the sweet nail technicians started taking coffee orders she went and picked up coffee for the patrons! How sweet! And just this week I went for a mani pedi and within an hour of leaving I chipped a nail pretty bad completely my fault! I came back and they fully repainted the chipped nail free of charge they are just the best. The owners son is also beyond adorable and always greets me when I enter and leave the salon! I have gone to the maidenhead store for over 5 years, and never had an problems and highly recommend them for their customer service and satisfaction. However had a shellac pedicure done on my nails on 05 September, 12 days later the colour has faded. On my nails is the same colour I had on my feet) yes I have been on holiday and suncream can ruin the colour but I can assure you you handle more suncream with your hands than your feet so why has the colour not done this on m...y nails - and it's because I've seen it with my own eyes - the colours are watered down with Aceton, I don't do this with the products I have at home - which is what I did with my hands. And as I have done the shellac course I know that this will break done the colour polymers - as that is what Aceton does to shellac. I called the slough store and booked to have this looked at for 11, it was 11.15 before I got served and then was told that guarentee would only last for 5 days, so no refund or having them re done would be offered but they could buff them down - which ruins the state of my natural nails as CND also only recommend filing the free edge, and this isn't doing the shellac correctly. Also I was incorrectly charged £25 for this as on the website it says £22 for this service. Very rude and dismissive staff members are also in the slough store. You've just lost a loyal customer! I found this salon recommended on Yelp, and boy am I glad I did!  Very, very clean, cute and comfortable. The staff were very nice and the prices are great. I got a fantastic natural nail mani/pedi in one hour - I was the only one there so they did both at the same time. It wasn't rushed at all. It's a little out of the way for me, but totally worth it. This place just plain made me happy. As far as nail salons go they can be hit or miss but I felt totally comfortable, calm and relaxed here. I went for a manicure and the sugar spa pedicure. It was a wonderful experience.  I am always looking for more organic/natural alternatives.  You do need to plan for extra dry time...the regular polish does seem to take longer (which is fine with me when the harmful chemicals are left out).  That being said...my regular manicure lasted way longer than it ever has with the full-toxin products.  I'll be going back:) Read Less

I WANTED to love this place. I did love everything about the entire experience, the employees, the gorgeous interiors and all of their awesome non-toxic products. That being said, my nail polish started to peel off hours later. And I don't mean they chipped, I mean the polish was literally peeling off my nails in full. I would say that this is because I brought my own polish, and did not use their Zoya color, but I paint my nails with the bottle of OPI I brought weekly and never have had a problem. Maybe I should have dried longer than my usual 12 minutes? Regardless, I had a great experience besides that and would definitely try out again, using all of their products.
