Lynn and her daughter have a nail shop that is extra clean! Plastic bags are used for each client to soak their feet in cleanliness. Not only have I always been pleased with my nails but last Saturday I was impressed by the service!!! I broke the rule of bringing your child to the salon lol. However my son is nine and well behaved, although he was hungry and failed to mention that until we got into the salon. I mentioned this to my nail tech and right away the brought out snacks and juice for my son. Today was NOT a good experience. As a mama when you break away you want service that good and efficient but not so fast that you have no time to enjoy it or to pick the right color that you have to live w for hopefully the next 3 weeks. I have given Zaza several visits since they opened. I have never left satisfied. Including this evening. Every time I request gel polish, I’m pushed and pressured to do the powder dip. Why? Because it’s $10 more. Even after I explain that I don’t like the dip, that I prefer the gel. My toenail polish rubbed off 24 hours after getting it put on last time. I’m nicked with the drill every. Single. Time. I’m here. Ugh!!!! Tonight, I requested the basic pedi for my 12-year old to ...which I was told they don’t do that? What??? Ok....so I spend the $30 for her pedi. My pedi was very nice with the exception of my water being cold. I will give her credit there. Hope the polish stays on this time....then over to the other side for my “gel manicure.” My exact words. Again, I’m pushed and pressured to do the dip. I explain, no, I want gel. This goes back and forth 2 or 3 more times. And I am treated with attitude. They conveniently don’t have the glitter red I wanted for Christmas so I reluctantly did the dip. I also asked for white glitter on each ring finger and showed him a picture. I did NOT get white glitter, nor did I get a manicure. He removed my old nails - nicking me several times with the drill - and put my new nails on. No manicure at all. No cuticles trimmed or asking if I want them cut down or no lotion. Nothing. So back to my glitter white. It’s neither glitter nor white. I am very upset with ZaZa Nails & Spa! On December 8, I called and purchased a gift certificate and they quickly charged my credit card and I have yet to receive the gift certificate in the mail (It's now 12 days later!). I don't live in the area and am giving it as a gift to someone who DOES and now I am sorry I got this gift for them! I have called and today I called and their mailbox is FULL! I have been to ZaZa multiple times now and it has been a joy every single time... great service, friendly nail techs, amazing products (I get the dip powder done and they have the biggest selection of colors/mood changing/cat eye polish, etc, that I know of). Even when they’re very busy, I’m always greeted, asked what services I need, and I’m seated as promptly as they can manage. I have never had to wait long, even with tons of customers in the shop. I always leave with a smile on my face and an amazing looking manicure that stays on for 3+ weeks (I’m very hard on my hands as a working vet tech). We have been going to Zaza's since they opened their doors. My daughter had the worst experience today by the tech doing a gel mani. First, his attitude was awful! He acted like he hated his job and didn't want to be there. 2nd, he cut her fingernail beds in several places to the point where she was bleeding. This happened to me the last time I was there several months ago. We haven't been back since until today, we decided to go back thinking it was just a fluke. Not so sure we will return again. I visited ZAZa with a friend for the first time last week and was not impressed. I paid $55 for my service and left less than pleased with my nails. The gel was so thin that that they cracked almost immediately I went back to get an extra top coat applied today and they charged me $5!!??!! This place is like a big sales pitch. “Try this, it’s great! Only a few dollars more...” even after repeating yourself they still push. My daughter asked for normal acrylic nails with normal polish and they gave her the gel samples for her to choose from. She didn’t know it was gel until they had already put it on her nails. I got there with my friend at 11:45 and told the wait was only 15 to 20 minutes. It's took an hour to even start on my nails, people who came in after me got their nails done and finished before mine even got started. The girl that I went with had her nails done before they even started mine so she left to go do you stuff. 45 minutes after she left they finally started painting my nails.
