My daughter and I came to Athena for the first time recently. We had pedicures with Brittany. The experience was relaxing, with a nice, peaceful ambiance. Brittany did an excellent job. I love this salon! I especially love their very talented stylists. I leave feeling so beautiful and I truly believe it's because of the talent they have on staff. My stylist is Meranda and she is so professional, sweet, and up on the latest hair trends. You know how you can feel the vibe of a salon when you first enter the door? Disappointed in the way I was treated by the stylist. I was introduced to her through mutual friends so I felt comfortable contacting her directly for an appointment. 6 days before my appointment I let her know that I was unable to make it in. Since her schedule was pretty full, I wanted her to know that the time slot was now available. She said that I would need to contact the salon myself since she already did me the favor of scheduling my appointment. My previous stylist always preferred that we contact her directly about appointments, so I was extremely confused and put off by this rude response. After thinking about it for a few days (because that's how much it bothered me) I realized this salon may do things a little differently and for some reason discourage the stylist in handling their own schedule? Regardless, this is not the correct way to treat a potential client. She should have just been polite and cancelled my appointment and I would have scheduled with her in the future. Or, politely let me know that the salon prefers to handle these requests, which I still don't completely understand why that would make a difference. I believe she just has poor customer service skills and didn't handle this situation correctly. It completely deterred me from wanting to visit this salon for any service. Instead, I had my hair done by Laurie Bridges at TEN Salon & Spa in Loveland at Centerra. It was the best salon experience and I highly recommend them instead. I had a facial with micro dermobrasion.  Raquel was so wonderful, she explained everything she was doing.  Her demeanor was relaxing, but friendly.  She didn't push product on me, and actually just selected a couple because she said it was easy to be overwhelmed.  I was very impressed and hope to see her again soon Read Less
