I got an Full set of french tips done not even an week ago, my nails are popping off and on two of my nails, my actual nail came off with the acrylics!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I went for a pedicure during my lunch hour because I work across the street and didn't have time to go to my regular place. I showed my technician an example of what I wanted (GEL MANICURE) and she nailed it. Most importantly, this salon is extremely clean. Will definitely come back in the near future. Read Less

I went for my first time today and it really was a bad experience. I had the guy and he seemed to think he knew better of what I wanted then I did. I told him I like my nails kind of shorter but I do still want the coffin shape. He would not accept that and told me he couldn’t do it. He cut them medium length and continued to do my nails with out asking if it was ok or not, when I asked him if he was going to do the coffin shape still he ignore me so I asked again thinking he could not hear me and he YELLED “I TOLD YOU YES”. I let it be. Then he proceeded to file my hurt finger raw until it was bleeding so much I had to make him stop so I could go wash my hands and it would not stop bleeding, when I was sitting in the chair holding a cotton ball on my bleeding finger getting it to stop so he could paint them he literally told me “25$” needing me to pay him right that second while my finger would not stop bleeding. Then when I paid him 40.00 cash he stared at me waiting for me to tell him if I needed change??? I would definitely avoid this place at all costs. I will never be back again. I went here with a girlfriend after work. I had excellent service. NO wait. They take and seat me right away. She is very young and cute. My mother and I went here for pedicures only hoping for a relaxing experience. The girl that did my mother kept hurting her and cutting into her skin. The girl that did my nails used water that was almost cold, I give myself more of a massage when I put on my own lotion then she gave me. And I am known for flowers on my big toes which I requested upon arrival. She painted all of my toes and then said we had to let them dry for a moment while she proceeded to help the man sitting next to me. After 10 minutes my mother and I kept speaking loudly to each other... are we ready to go, is she going to do the flowers??? we got no response from her whatsoever until we got up to leave and then she finished putting clear polish on my toes and said said oh you want a flower and called another girl from next-door who is getting her haircut AND colored. This girl came over with tinfoil in her hair and said do you want to flower I can paint one for you? At this time we no longer had time so we walked out.., I went home and put flower decals on my toes until the next pedicure... someplace else !!! You get what you pay for. So while a great price, I would say my pedi was just OK. Also I'm not sure why people think they can speak in a foreign language about you, and think that I can't tell they're talking about me. The place is clean, each tech has their own utensils. Not friendly at all, and rough with the pedicures. I had to pull my feet back a few times as the tech was pushing the cuticles back. Not sure if they just don't speak English or what, but she made no attempt at a conversation. Read Less

I have never been so disappointed after getting my nails done. DO NOT GO HERE. I went with my friend and she was done with her mani and pedi at least 20 minutes before I was. They told her the color she chose would not work with her nails because they were too short and the nail tech literally chose a different color and didn't even ask if the color was okay. I finished my mani and noticed that the cuticle work was not spectacular and the color wasn't down to the base of my nails. Less than 4 days later the SHELLAC polish was peeling at the corners. I thought i would be okay with it but by day  i could literally peel the polish off of my nail. I went back into HAPPY NAILS and asked for my nails to be fixed. The manager LEE was incredibly unhelpful. She argued with me for probably close to 10 minutes about my nails. She called me a liar when I said that i had the mani 6 days before and claimed that the nails had grown out too much for it to be only one week out..... which really didn't make sense because she was the one that did my nails and i told her that and she had nothing to say. Because I used my credit card I asked her if she wanted to see my bank statement showing I was there 6 days earlier. She had nothing to say to that either and refused to fix my nails. She was horribly rude and is running an awful nail salon. A different person than LEE did my pedicure and I have already redone them myself because of how bad they are chipping. This was an awful infuriating experience. HAPPY NAILS is not worth your time or money, go somewhere where your nail technician cares. I have disputed these charges with my credit card company because happy nails refuses to give discounts. Read Less

I received a fungal infection on my big toe from here (Happy Nails on 72nd Ave next to Safeway!)..after going here for 1 year straight for my pedicures i expected LEE the owner to be sympathetic to my concerns.... her exact words were "I don't care!" I have been here several times and the first time months ago was a great experience but today was not so. I went in because I wanted to feel pretty at my Bridal shower that is also today. I picked white with glitter, like most brides do. They recommended a different glitter that would look nicer. While scrubbing my legs, the lady was clearly disgusted and made me feel very uncomfortable. Relax....I got a spray tan yesterday, my skin was not coming off. I tried at home to wipe off the excess bronzer. Even though it was in a different language, it was obvious my legs were being discussed. I kindly said, it's just from my spray tan. Then she put the polish on and moved to the girl waiting next to me. The glitter was sloppy and the white looked like old chunky white out and it was also on my skin. I don't usually complain but it looked awful. Another lady put on a top coat and said, the white just looks like that. Odd.... I've seen white on many brides toes and it looked great. Hence why I chose it. I paid and left. Left and went straight home to redo the polish job. First world problem? For sure. But on the day I wanted to feel and look nice I was made to feel uncomfortable and had toe nails that looked like a 4 year old boy did them. Positive note. Terrible. I went in to get my eyebrows done and was told the wait was 15-20 minutes, so I go next door to Walgreen's to pick up my prescription. Come back and am ignored for 10 minutes while one of the ladies cleans everything she can find instead of doing my eyebrows quickly and then cleaning. So I ho back finally and show a picture of what I'm working towards and she says "no. Your eyebrow is too small." I say 'I know its not going to look like the picture, but I am trying to start a better arch." She says "no." I say "so you can't do any arch at all?' She says "no." I don't even want to give this salon a star. The lady was nice but I got the guy to do my acrylics. He made them thick and I was picky about how the powder was laid on. He missed my side nail and then put more acrylic on the side. Once it dried he pried the dried acrylic from my skin which really hurt. A simple sorry was all he did. I asked for my nails to be square and skinny. He started filing them round and fat. So I asked the lady to finish his work. The work was lumpy and uneven. Polish was terrible. Lady didn't understand why I requested her. Before that I got a pedi and the lady did a good job but the polish was crap. She didn't even cover the nail with top coat fully. The guy was rude and talked under his breath to his wife in Vietnamese. I understand Vietnamese and he STILL talked crap. This place sucks in customer service and!!! Horrible horrible experience. First, when I get there, there's another customer there complaining bcuz the nail tech had cut her, I witnessed the male nail tech PUT HIS HANDS on a female customer. At that point I was about to walk out but the lady calls me so I show her a picture of what I would like and she tells me to find the polishes myself! She then sits me at a station and cuts my thumb with her little drill, then puts y hands in a bowl of acetone and walks away to do somebody else's pedicure, she left me sitting there the ENTIRE time it took my friend to get her full set, so I never even ended up getting my nails done. first time I came here, I got my first set of fake nails. they're too long and badly put on. they're quite painful. tried to go back in to have them fixed and they refused to do what I wanted, even though I was going to pay for another manicure. Neutral experience. Going to a new nail salon is always hit or miss so my expectations were low going in. For starters the man who did my nails was exceptionally gentle, not one knick to the skin at all and he was conscious of the speed of this drill--I noticed it slow when around my cuticle. Much appreciated. However, the quality of my powder gel nails is mediocre. They are free of air bubbles but kind of lumpy and uneven. Some of the nails are very thin, which I like, but all of them are different thicknesses. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'd never go back but I won't make a special trip to go back.*Edit* After less than two weeks these nails were peeling off so bad I had to remove them instead of getting a rebase. Just horrible! I've gotten my nails done here twice, the first time it was acceptable but the guy who attended me was very rude and inpatient. the second time I came around, I only did so because a gf wanted to get her nails done and it was the closest thing. Never again! The same guy did my nails, and he was again rude and unfriendly. He didn't bother to lime my old nails down, so now my nails have rough, uneven edges, and he was cutting my fingers all the time. To say that he wasn't even wearing shoes! The first time I went here I didn't mind it.  However in hindsight I realize it was the very sweet woman who was sitting next to me.  2nd visit... I had the same tech, she didn't speak English well at all so conversation was minimal which is fine.  However a couple of questions she wanted answers to I don't think she understood.  I have a cut off toe and am very pregnant so I can't cut the nail on it and cutting my nails in general has been a challenge.  She cut my  nails and during cut my half toe.  It was awful and wouldn't stop bleeding.  Now I have cut myself while cutting this nail so I wasn't too upset but this is the first during a pedi that my toe has been cut, and I've had a lot of pedicures.  We got to the mani and she cut me 3 more times!  Now I was getting quite annoyed.  Then another lady asks how far along I was and of course this young brat says "how many are you having, you are huge!"  First off I'm 5ft so I am all belly.  My bump is perfectly normal for my height, and I don't look like I'm having multiples!  Second at what point is that comment ever ok to say to someone!  I'm a damn customer I don't come in to be insulted!  Learn some manners! I went to get a pedicure there. The new technician made several errors (sloppy, had a design that looked terrible). EEK! RUN! Run away as fast as you can.Dirty, unsanitary, and rude.I went to go get my nails done there when I was in a big hurry- big mistake. The carpet was so nasty, and the chipped and old mirrored wall was only worse. The nail polish bottles were all dirty and some looked very old. I asked for a red-red manicure for Halloween purposes. Not only did the lady cut my finger very hard when she was cleaning the cuticle, she then proceeded to clean it with an even dirtier rag. The nail polish was uneven and by the time I left one of them was already smudged. I left in a hurry- but still tipped.Verdict: Nails should be hailed. Happy Nails is a big fail- must bail. I had just finished dinner at the Pho Grill that is in the same shopping center and decided to get a mani-pedi because it was close and advertised for $30.00 they had another sign that said that they offered an additional 20% off Monday through Wednesday so with a deal like this how could I resist?!?... It was 6:20 and they close at 7:00 plenty of time to get this service done so I decided to go in. There were two employees one man and one female the female was already doing a mani-pedi so I got stuck with the guy... Normally I would not care but this guy just wasn't there... He used his cell phone twice while working on my feet. He carelessly filed my toes and lacked on the massage. He left nail polish on my skin and missed the side of one of my nails. The manicure part did not get better... He soaked one of my hands while working on the other massaged lotion before applying the nail polish then had me get up to go wash my hands... The nail polish that I chose for my fingers was a simple pink glaze with glitter in it- when he opened the bottle it was like the nail polish was too thick.. Instead of asking me to pick another color or doing something to fix the polish he applies this thick goo on my nails- Also missing the sides and the base of my nails. I had to ask him to fix it at which point he attempted it- but really failed here too cause I went home with nail polish on the sides of my fingers. He asked me dry my hands under the light, then left the main part of the salon so he wasn't there when I left. I can not speak for the Girl who works there the lady who was worked on by here seemed to be happy- But seriously I think this was one of the most non-relaxing, bad paint job, bad service experiences I have ever had getting my nails done ""professionally"". I am upset with myself because I tipped him before he was done so he just rushed through it to get me out well before 7.
